Artemis was just about to get up from the couch and go home for the night when M’gann flew up excitedly, cape billowing behind her levitating body. “Artemis! Would you like to have a sleepover, just for the night? It’s a weekend tomorrow and no missions, so I thought you might want to.” M’gann’s expression said she very much wanted to have a sleepover, but would be empathetic if Artemis refused. “Er.. I don’t have any of my stuff..” Artemis was on the edge. She wanted to go home and sleep in her bed, but it might be fun to stay. “But you do! Every team member had two sets of overnight equipment stashed at the cave, don’t you remember?” M’gann had said the truth. Now that Artemis thought about it, she realized she would be perfectly fine for a night. She smiled widely. “Okay, M’gann. I

There's something about having a blonde archer superhero, A green-skinned martian superhero, and a black-haired magician storm into you room, wearing nothing but towels that is slightly uncomfortable.
Artemis Crock stopped just a foot away from Kid Flash and glared, getting ready to yell again. The distinct smell of chicken trailed her like a lost puppy.
"No- no way. It worked- on you!? Mmph-! Pfft! B-BAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHA!!" Wally West burst out laughing, despite his efforts against doing so.
Miss Martian folded her arms.
"HOW DARE YOU! YOU COMPLETE IDIOT! YOU BRAINLESS, RUDE, RIDICULOUS-" Artemis raved, but couldn't get the whole sentence out as Wally interrupted her.
"-Genious? Gee, thanks, Art. I wonder, when did you figure it out? I mean, it's going to stay in there for.. what, two weeks?"
"TWO WEEKS- Wally West, you are unbelievable! I am going to-"
"Hey, you're hair's down." Wally took a piece in his fingers, distracted, an
YJ Fanfic Chapter 3"Three.. Two.. One!" Robin cackled evilly as he kicked open the door and rushed in, followed by KF, Superboy, and Kaldur.YJ Fanfic Chapter 34 years ago in Settings More Like This
Zatanna screamed as Robin hit her with a jello balloon, splattering blue jello all over her jeans and shirt. M'gann deflected one balloon with her telekinesis, but was then caught with two more, one bouncing up from the bed, and another catching her on the arm, making her arm wrapped in a casing of blue.
Artemis had fallen off of the bed at the sudden attack, and in doing that, had dodged two balloons, but, on the floor, was then hit with two other jello bombs. Artemis lay there, being pelted with jello on all sides, screaming furiously.
Zatanna kept trying to say a incantation, but everytime she tried to cast her spell, another jello balloon caught her in the mouth or face. M'gann shut her eyes and thrust forward her hands, stopping all of the balloons thrown at that second, but she let her guard down too early and another wave of attack began.

NOTE: Okay, the inspiration for this came from a song, and I use the lyrics for a bit. ALL RIGHTS GO TO THEM. 'cept for the story. Thats mine. The base for this is that YJ got news that some apocalypse or something was coming, an alien invasion i guess, and they only have hours until all battles start. So the Team sent Wally to go get some last-minute things, like extra arrows and lasers and crap.
Wally is running back to the Cave from a supply run. His earpiece buzzes, and he answers it.
"Artemis?" he asks, puzzled.
"Um, yeah." Awkwardness colors her tone.
"Beautiful, it's late. Is everything okay?"
And silence takes over the line.
Until she says:
"I... I just love you. I don't know why, I just do. ...when are you coming back?"
Wally smiles a true, small smile.
"I'm coming back soon. ..'cause I just love you too."
Artemis can hear the smile in his voice.

I’ll get my communicator!” M’gann’s green fingers picked the little piece of machinery up delicately, and placed it in her ear. “Zatanna.” She said clearly, and within a few seconds, they were connected to her phone line. “Hello?” Zatanna’s voice rang out from the other end. “Hi, Zatanna, it’s M’gann! My Father's Eyes
I watched him fall…
I always watched them, even when my mother insisted I was too young to participate. It was heart thrilling, seeing them fly about one another as if it were as easy and natural as breathing. They were stunning to watch!
He was the catcher. The first to step off the platform and fly in the slender bar stories above the netless ground. He was the strongest, the oldest, the one trusted to be there when the others released and left their very lives in his hands.
He was always there.
For her, for them, for me.
Always for me.
And so he was who I always watched when I wasn't flying.
And it was why, that night, I watched him fall.
I saw it in his eyes first. The rich chocolate eyes that were alight with love and joy as he did what he did best. He felt the wires buck, lifted his eyes to a spot above my head and I followed that gaze. I saw the moment when he saw and recognized the fate that would not be his alone.
He looked aw

If I live through this, he thinks, I'm gonna kiss her.
It's a ridiculous thought, of course. A very Wally thought. Especially at a time like this, when he should be worried about the state of his uncle and not the affinity of Artemis' lips.
But he can't help himself. Sure, he's been focused. He's been focused this whole time, studying his surroundings, figuring out that the Team is only still alive because the JLA is being controlled. Limited. Manipulated by Vandal Savage and a kid who happens to be a Lord of Chaos.
But he's also been distracted. He's been increasingly aware of Artemis' presence, tediously conscious of how close she is, of her positioning and movements.
It's time he stops flat-out denying it.
He's intoxicated by her. He's fascinated by her. She's the only woman he's ever met who's made him like this. Who makes him nervous. Who makes him angry. Who throws off his cool demeanor, rips it off like a painful blister, and challenges him

As they neared the end of the chute, a small outcropping of rock suddenly jutted out. Impact was made, and the coffin jolted upwards, effectively erecting itself. Aang somersaulted in the air, combining her momentum with airbending in order to land safely a little distance away, facing Bumi.

Waking up the next morning, you sensed something was out of whack. There were muffled voices coming from the living room and you climbed out of bed and into Ludwig's room.
When you climbed up on his bed, you noticed he wasn't there. Carefully climbing back down, you walked out of the bedroom and towards the living room where noises gradually got louder.
Poking your head in to see what was going on, you noticed two complete strangers standing in the living room. Both were rather tall and both had blond hair, but one had green eyes and resembled Ludwig a bit while the other had a scar going across his face while his hair was tied back with only one strand going down on the side opposite the scar.
"Prussia." The green-eyed blond said, shocking you into reality. "Germany." Confusion held your mind,"It's been awhile since I have seen you two." Looking back over at Ludwig and Gilbert, you noticed they were a bit nervous. And why was this stranger calling them Prus

It certainly explained why he woke up in the wee hours of the morning with Starfire by his side, her body on the bed and her head craning slightly off the edge.
Taking in a deep sigh, Robin smiled and reached for her. While she time and time again explained her sleeping habits weren't uncomfortable, he couldn't help aligning her normally, even if she did now have him sleeping with his head where his feet would normally go.
In the process of moving her head closer to his, he usually ran his thumb over cheek.
It became a ritual of sorts.
Previously, as just her best friend, it was a way to make sure no loose hair tickled at her annoyingly. Now, as 'her boyfriend' was added, it was also a way he took care of feeling her skin.
He found there was always a nice feel against her cheek; not too downy soft and

Nightwing didn't fidget, but, like his successor, he betrayed his heightened anxiety in the way he grew stiller by turns. As one minute bled into two, he had grown as still as stone.
For my part, I could feel the tension knotting in my shoulders. Something inside of me coiled tightly as a spring, and an odd sensation close to nausea wormed its way into my gut. I didn't like this. Not one bit. I'd made my protests plain to the whole team, but they'd dismissed my discomfort as merely an artifact of my past.
In some respects, they were absolutely right. Cadmus still plagued me. Early on, when I had just joined the team, I'd had dreams of b

She dreaded going back home. Once the house had been fully searched, the underground tunnel fully excavated, and the paper work had been filed, Asami Sato was permitted to go back to her lonely estate.
This time there would be no father waiting at home for her. This time there would be no butlers. This time she would come home to an empty mansion full of broken dreams and buried memories. But that was fine by her; the memories could rot in the spirit world for all she cared.
Asami walked the halls, her footsteps slow and heavy with each movement of her long legs. The morning light leaked through the undraped windows- having never been covered since her father flocked to Amon's side. The light illuminated the marble floors and revealed the dust which lingered intimately on the drapes and table tops. Asami sighed as she watched some dust particles ascend to the windows- the sun providing more love than a desolate home.
