Another submission for my favorite movies series. Tommy Boy. I've got this one written down as my #8 favorite movie. I'm starting to get to the part of the top ten that's really unclear. I've come to the conclusion that numbers 7-15 are in a state of constant flux, so what I'm going to do is just pick movies that I think would be fun to draw. The quantifying of one's cherished movies is a difficult undertaking. It's like picking a favorite child.

So far Chris Farley has been by far the most difficult caricature for this series. I'm not very pleased at all with how his face looks, but I spent HOURS on it without satisfaction, so I threw in the towel. (Edit: I picked up the towel again and worked on the face a bit more. I also made him a little bigger in the picture, and made his hair messier) I also referenced the cover of the Sound of Music DVD even though I've never even seen that movie. So just to be clear... Sound of Music has no place in my top ten list.

In less then a week Chris Farley has been passed away for 8 years. I made a small tribute from one of my favorite movies; Tommy Boy. Rest in Peace Mr. Farley.

Finally got around to doing that Christopher Walken caricature that I've been telling people I'd finish. In case you all don't get the reference, there was a Fatboy Slim music video for the song Weapon of Choice that came out about six years ago with Walken dancing around a hotel lobby, and eventually flying around. That video was the moment I realized that Christopher Walken is the coolest man alive. I love it that the creepiest guy in Hollywood always tries to work a dance scene into his movies. Brilliant.
Anyway, I specifically told Waikikimiki ([link]) I'd draw this, and she reminded me a couple of times. So this one is for her. Sometimes it just takes that bit of motivation.

A portrait of Peter Cullen, voice of both the classic G1 cartoon Prime and the 2007 live action Movie Prime.

I gave Mr. Cullen the original artwork when he attended the 2006 Botcon in Lexington, KY.

Please note, I drew this before there were any official, closeup pics of Movie Prime available, so I had to do a lot of guess work on what he would look like.

I haven't watched the movie yet but since I did one for the last film I thought what the hell.

I've been studying a lot of Norman Rockwell's work and I tried to go for his style of rendering.

You could call it a speed painting for the most part.

Hope it tickles your fancy.
