Donatello couldn't believe his eyes. The entirety of the grotesqueness of the situation before him alone was enough to make one terror stricken. But the fact that his brothers, Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo now lay dead at his feet was an even more gruesome fact to try to come to terms with. And...it was all his fault...all of this was his fault...If he could somehow change it, oh how he wished he change this horrifying fate! But things like "if's" and "wishes" didn't come true. Not for him. Not for reality.
Both Leonardo and Raphael had been killed by Karai. The Shredder's daughter- he should have known, he should have anticipated this. But no, he overlooked, overcompensated her abilities, merely thinking of the teenager that he and his brothers battled over the past few months. But this Karai, she had thirty more years experience than his Karai. She had tussled with his brothers even more numerous times than he could have imagined. She knew their strengths and weaknesses.

"My son," Splinter reached out for Donnie, grasping his trembling, green hand. That slightest show of affection flooded Donnie's thoughts, reminding him of when he and his brothers were young. He squeezed his father's hand back tightly, a lone tear trickled down his cheek. He remembered that, despite his brothers' mocking laughter, Splinter would hold him as they walked down the terrifyingly dark sewer tunnels. His fears were often based on nothing more than a creaking pipe, or a rat scurrying by, but his imagination would take over, sending him falling into the nightmarish aperture of his mind. His father would comfort him, washing away the rears, banishing the terrors until next time. He had always been there for Donatello, always there to protect, support, and care for him. And how did he repay him? Instead of returning the love, he abandoned him. He was not there to protect him when the Shredder came, nor was he there to support his father as he watched his family disintegrate befo
TMNT DxA Whispers of the HeartApril felt a sudden chill fill her body soon after hearing that the Kraang were really after her. But……why? She kept asking herself that over and over. “Now that I think of it. The Kranng were after you at your school, right? It looks like they’ve been targeting you this whole time,” stated Leo, “So as far as I can tell, as long as you are on the surface where they can find you, you’re not safe.”TMNT DxA Whispers of the Heart3 years ago in Profiles More Like This
None of them had honestly ever considered that. What were they going to do? They couldn’t follow her throughout the day watching over her. No matter where she went, the Kraang were tracking her down. April’s safety was now in jeopardy. Master Splinter looked at her very concerned. He couldn’t believe he was about to say this, but for the time being, it just seemed to be the only option.
“April, will you come with me for a moment. I would like to have a word with you.” Master Splinter motioned h

The warmth of the light from the sun kissed Donatello's skin, wrapping him in a warm blanket that summer created. The mutant stretched his legs and wiggled his toes, enjoying the calming feeling stretching brought.
Donatello glanced at the papers and textbooks in front of him on the carpet of the dojo, the sun from the broken concrete in the roof shining down on him and the papers. He turned and locked his eyes on the petite figure of April O'Neil beside him.
The teenager continued to type away, a smile on her face. He had agreed to help her with some projects, and because of him, they had nearly finished the projects in an hour. Most of the research papers and the like they had finished were neatly stacked and ready to be turned in.
At first April had only focused working on her own, but with how slow it could be, she was happy to have Donatello help in any way he could. And even though some of the work was bland and vague, he enjoyed the time spent with the red head.

April blinked, lost in thought. Something had been troubling her for the longest time, now. It was a poke in her side, ache in her head and a pain in her heart. Something was off. But as she looked at the beautiful blue, cloudless sky and how gorgeous everything looked around her, she couldn't figure out what was wrong.
April scrunched up her nose with annoyance. A headache was already forming and she wanted to go home and ignore the world. What was causing this awful mood? She hadn't been like this since...
The red head felt like she had been slapped awake and turned to the person who had been talking to her. The older boy she sat next to frowned, his dark brown eyes glinting with disapproval.
"Sorry, I was thinking."
"You do too much of that."
April frowned. "Is that a problem, Casey?" She crossed her arms and deepened her frown at the kid who's supposed to be her loving boyfriend. He slung his arm around around her shoulders. She could smell the overdose of

The red head closed her eyes and willed herself to go back to sleep. She had been having a pleasant dream, too...but the longer she stayed awake the more she honestly forgot what it had been about.
The teenager tossed a few more times before sighing and kicked the covers off. She glanced over at the alarm clock on the make shift nightstand in her bedroom in the sewers and had to stop herself from groaning. It was only five in the morning. On a Saturday. Life was cruel.
April sat up and rubbed at her eyes. Well, if she couldn't get back to sleep, she might as well find something to do. She opened her door and peered into the dark hallway. She slid through the opening and clicked it shut gently, not wanting to wake her mutant friends who had had a long nig

I was out on my moped delivering pizzas. It was my second day on the job and I was happy to be working for Antonio’s Pizza Place. Everything was running smoothly…until I saw these giant, green monsters. I just sat and stared. One of them growled at me. I screamed and drove off. Once I found a safe place to hide, I checked and found one of the pizzas missing. It was a pepperoni pizza. I got nervous and drove back to where I saw the monsters. It was gone. I bet they took it. The boss let it slide this time, since it was my second day. I just hope it doesn’t happen again.
Once again, I was delivering pizzas. I haven’t seen much of the monsters in about a month, so I was pretty relieved. Anyway, as I stopped to make my first delivery for the night, I noticed that three of the pizzas were missing and I got worried. Did the monsters take them? I’ll never know. All I know is that the boss docked my pay for them. I tried to explain a

Leonardo shifted beneath the robes he wore and rubbed his fingers on the fabric. It was weird to be dressed in anything besides his mask. He gazed down at the kimono he wore. Well...sort of kimono. It used to belong to Splinter and had been very traditional...but it had been altered into a more westernized shirt and pants. Not just for the sake of where they were, but also so Leonardo could easily slip in and out of the attire.
The ninja glanced down the aisle formed by folding chairs and felt his mouth lightly drop. The time had come, it seemed. Splinter's tall frame came into view over the hill and to the top, a small figure by his side.
Splinter seemed to beam as the sun reached the horizon behind Leonardo. The warmth washed over the faces of his brothers that stood to his left, April, his sister-in-law, on his right, and over the figures of April's father, Mr. Murakami, friends they had made over the years and numerous Foot Clan members who remained loyal to Karai. As kids, all they cared about was rough housing, video games, T.V...Splinter was their dad. Leonardo remembered how he'd always be the first to rise out of his brothers and walk through the subway that was their home until someone else woke up. That was when he first noticed them: lilies.
The mutant found it odd how, every morning, there would be a vase filled with the beautiful flowers on the table where they ate. It's not like flowers grew in the sewers and they probably didn't grow on buildings, either.
Leonardo understood that his father probably went out of his way to find the precious flowers that sat o

Donnie struggled to take a breathe in. His chest had tightened, and his heart was threatening to stop. It was beating so hard, so fast, he began to shake. He was lightheaded, and dizzy. Was his brother really going to tell him everything? The truth? The reason for this world? What his part was in it?
“Calm down bro,” Mikey sighed. “Don’t want you blowing a blood vessel now, do we?” Absentmindedly, Mikey scratched on the end of his missing arm. “Alright...let’s see...where the shell do I even begin?” Donnie felt his mouth going dry, and his vision seemed to begin cloud over.
“The beginning?” He offered. It was the best thing he could think. Start where it all originated, where he delivered the crushing blow to his family. It was better that way. He had to prepare himself for the worst though, and he didn’t think he was ready. Could he handle the truth? Could he handle his own deception? Treachery?

Young and beautiful,
I'd have sun bleached hair
And life would be good to me.
I'd soak up some sun I never got,
Spending hours by the sea.
Just sitting there lost in thought
At the beauty I was unable to see.
In another life I'd have honey glazed eyes
That crinkle with laughter I don't have to hide
As I roll down hills, the sun on my face,
I'd be free, no longer tied down by my lies.
Although this life I live right now is worth living,
And I'll never regret the things worth giving,
To those in my life I'll always be loyal to,
But it's just not the same without you.
And when I shall sleep tonight,
Yeah, I will give up this fight,
But not until the time is right,
And when it is, yeah,
When it is, I'll awake-
In another life I'd turn around and you'd be there
With the widest grin and wind swept hair.
And we both would be young and free,
Where we can be together just you and me
We'd make up for the time that we never got,
Forgetting those times that we

In the midst of stress, fighting, and three annoying mutants, Donatello and April liked to wind down together by making one thing April had never learned to make until she had met the turtles: origami.
When the purple clad ninja discovered she had never tried origami before, he immediately taught her the basics of paper folding. Honestly, April didn't really have much interest in learning how to create the paper art, but she couldn't resist the pleading eyes of the one mutant she had a soft spot for. And in the end, origami ended up being the one stress reliever the red head truly needed.
April and Donatello would spend hours together just folding paper. They'd try to out creative the other in what shapes they could fold. To see who could make the most impressive piece.
Donatello always naturally won. He had been doing it longer than her, but she enjoyed the thrill of the competition none the less. She'd search through books at her school's library for techniques on paper folding so sh
I Found Donnie!!Yesterday I took my day off from school and work to have a photoshoot for two projects at school. I had the shoot be based around the symbolism in mythology, so yesterday I had three friends volunteer and I made one a death god, the other a temptress and the other a fire elemental. We got some great photos! Originally I wanted to go to this abandoned building are but my GPS kept taking us to the wrong road and so after half an hour we resorted to a nature reserve for the shoot instead. We hiked to where this sewer was and found the giant opening in the cement leading in. And on our way there, we found a turtle! The turtle was moving towards the sewer and we decided that we should take it to a nearby lake. But I couldn't stop cracking up at how a turtle was retreating to the sewers...I named him Donatello. He was really chill. He didn't try to bite me when I picked him up carried him around. It was like he knew I wasn't going to hurt him. All around me were

The bomb had dropped,

But it refused to blow up.
Times like those made me

it was a stroke of major luck.
I left the sanctuary and into
