CT WIPs - TVB The UnfinishedAlmost forgot to start this journal! I want to release every unfinished TVB song I have to you guys so I'm obviously gonna need a new pic of the bandCT WIPs - TVB The Unfinished1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Concept: So the songs aren't all polished up or done, yet I want to release them for download anyway. Draw band members Rion, Abbey and Gibson in a way that reflects that.
Canvas size: 1000x1500 at 100dpi.
Brush used for sketching: Pencil sketch (16x16) scaled at .40, brush dynamics: Pressure - Opacity and Size.
Their hair is unkempt and they're not fully dressed; you can see their underwear.
Even though Gibson is considered the leader of the band, as the shortest, Abbey is in the middle for composition's sake.
Facial expressions should sum up each member. Uncertainty, neutral, and outgoing.
Neutral stance for them all because I love those indie album covers with th
Growing Around Voice ActingOkay, we are now at the stage where we need voice actors to move on even further. We only need five of them: one for Robert, Linda, Timmy, Sally, and Kathy. However, you need more than just a fitting voice for each of them, you need to prove that you can voice a wide range of emotions, particularly: happy, sad, angry/annoyed, embarrassed, and surprised. So, what lines do I want you to read?Growing Around Voice Acting8 months ago in Personal More Like This
Sally: [annoyed] UGH! Come on! Best 17 out of 33!?
Sally: [matter-of-factly] I could have gotten hurt. [teasing] You know what that means don't you? You left your rollerskate lying around and that means you gotta sniff it now!
Sally: [happy] You're such a killjoy! Come on, it tastes delicious!
Sally: [sad] I-I... skinned my knee!
Sally: [embarrased] I never said that! How could you even think something like that about me!? I mean... seriously!?
Timmy: [Whiny] Come on guys, tell me! Are R
Weirdness....Alright, awhile back I did a review on an absolutely terrible book entitled "1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die," a book that was riddled with errors. Table of contents directions lead to wrong pages. Some titles in the table of contents used one regional name, while the actual entry used a different regional name (Freak Out/Stretch Panic). There were also typos and spelling errors. Sometimes games like H.E.R.O. and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. would be at the top of their letter section, and sometimes they would be where they would if they didn't have any periods. Not to mention that they didn't know how to alphabetize at all. This book is probably the only place in the world where Super Mario Bros. comes in between Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros. 3. And that's in the table of contents.Weirdness....5 months ago in Personal More Like This
Throughout the book, there are plenty of errors. Each entry gives us a blurb where the editor didn't check for grammar and someone thought that Brewster (from Animal Crossing) was an owl. Not on
What's the Difference Between....Allen Gregory and Brickleberry? What's the Difference Between....5 months ago in Personal More Like This
This is a genuine question because I genuinely don't know. It's no secret that I tend to not like adult cartoons. The formula seems to be say something purposefully offensive to piss people off and mix it with as much raunch and sex and violence as possible and boom you've got a hit on your hand. Yet, the difference between Allen Gregory and Brickleberry is that one gets cancelled six episodes in and the other goes on for three or more seasons. Yet, they're both the same kind of shock for shocks sake. If one is popular, logically the other should be.
There are obviously good cartoons aimed at adults like Futurama, but sometimes it's extremely hard when I'm reviewing a show like Adult Party Cartoon or Mr. Pickles (and no, it's not a goddamn Rugrats episode) to not feel like I'm critiquing a hentai for having porn when a deer eats a placenta or a dog tears off something's head. When reviewing Breadwinners I know that a children's carto
RIP Robin WilliamsThis is very sad news, but Robin Williams has passed on. Truly he will be missed, especially to all of us '90s kids who enjoyed movies like Aladdin, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, Hook, etc. What a wonderful, funny man.RIP Robin Williams8 months ago in Personal More Like This

My Top 10 Favorite Video Games (5-1)Number 5: The Legend of Zelda – Majora's Mask (GameCube)My Top 10 Favorite Video Games (5-1)5 days ago in Personal More Like This
Yes, I know that the game was originally on the N64, but we're going with the versions that I played. And the one that I played was the version in the Zelda Collector's edition for the GameCube. It's also how I played Ocarina of Time and Zelda II for the first time. As for this game, the reasons that I like it are all of the typical ones—the darker tone, the groundhog day mechanic, deeper characters, outstanding level design, and the Great Bay Temple isn't that hard at all. Seriously. When you get into the main room, swim into the upper area and get the key, return to the main room and swim to the lower area and get the ice arrows. Use them in the upper area to get the boss key, and then reverse the flow of water. It should be intuitive from that point onward.
I suppose I should talk about why the other Zelda games aren't my favorite. Keep in mind that The Legend of Zelda is my favorite video game series, ever.
Growing Around Writing AuditionsPerhaps I didn't let people play to their strengths... or perhaps I had released the original audition template too soon. So, let's try this.Growing Around Writing Auditions7 months ago in Personal More Like This
As you've noticed, each of the four main characters now have their own episode (Linda's is the pilot). Besides the pilot, they're all in their first draft so minor details will change, but the most important things are there - the characters, their traits, and the world that surrounds them. This is what will be considered "canon." Alright, let's get down to business with things. But I'm going to have to be serious here. I can't believe I'm saying this, but kids are still kid. They age normally. Adults are still adults, and the adults are the biological parents of the kids. The kids are just in charge.
Challenge: You are to write any type of plot you wish (that can fit in a children's show). The only thing that I require is that it at least features all four main characters: Timmy, Sally, Linda, and Robert. They all need to speak at le
My Top 10 Favorite Videos of 2014Happy New Years' Eve everyone. This is a time of year that's great for reflection, to see what we've done and celebrate the positives and examine the negatives. 2014 has been a far more productive year for me than 2013. I mean, one of the reasons I used to do things like 500 subscriber or 1000 subscriber special reviews is to sort of mark how far I've come, and that 1,000 subscriber milestone was in November... of last year. I've made it to 65,000 at last count. And I do think that's because my videos have gotten better. Not only did I take on things that I'd never dream I'd do when I started (Ren Seeks Help and Mega Babies), but I think that I learned to stand my ground much better. And I'll discuss that as we go along. My earliest video this year was my Bats! review, and the last one was my It's a SpongeBob Christmas review. Any review that came before that doesn't count, and the Elf Bowling review I'm making now doesn't count for this year. My 10 Least Favorite Video Games of All Time(10-6)So, as you may or may not know I play a lot of video games and have for quite some time. And not all of them are good. Most are, because I don't tend to play bad games out of curiosity like I do for animation. If I come across a bad game, it's usually because I was duped in some way shape or form. I play games to have fun and tend to use resources that pull me in helpful directions. Granted, sometimes I get disappointed by what I find, but it's never usually bad enough for me to turn the console off like thirty minutes after starting it. I know to avoid licensed games and there are none here (although the ones I grew up with were actually pretty damn good, like Goof Troop for the SNES). If anything, I'd expect a lot of bad sequels on this list, because that's where the disappointment hits the hardest. My 10 Least Favorite Video Games of All Time(10-6)2 weeks ago in Personal More Like This

My Top 10 Favorite Video Games (10-6) Awhile ago I tried making a list of my top 100 video games of all time, and I did it in incraments of 10. This worked for a bit, until I played a new game that knocked the rest of the list out of whack. I also stopped that because there were many video games that are obviously great that I have yet to play. I never had a PlayStation 2, so I missed out on a lot of games that would definitely rank very highly with me, like Jak & Daxter, Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank, or Jak & Daxter. There's a lot of games that are on my "to play" list, but I haven't had the time to play them, like any Final Fantasy or Metroid games, which made me hesitant to construct a list in the first place. But I did my top 10 least favorite, and I highly doubt that my top 10 favorite games ever are going to change... much. For this list, I had a hard time keeping some games out. They were games that I may have spent hundreds of hours that didn't make this list. Hell, my favorite video game genre isMy Top 10 Favorite Video Games (10-6)1 week ago in Personal More Like This

My 10 Least Favorite Video Games of All Time (5-1)Number 5: Two Worlds (Xbox 360)My 10 Least Favorite Video Games of All Time (5-1)2 weeks ago in Personal More Like This
I probably should have known what I was getting into when my Hollywood video was having a going out of business sale where everything was like 50% off, and the store had several unopened and still wrapped cases of this game. Virtually all of the other games there were used without cases and just the scraps that no one else took. But hey, the game said that it was like Oblivion on steroids, and I liked Oblivion. I didn't think it was good as Morrowind, but whatever. I found out that this was probably the best PSA ever made. It's not so much Oblivion on Steroids, but Oblivion on meth. Maybe magic mushrooms.
You've heard the complaints of this one, and should watch ProJared review this mess. It's full of really stupid dialogue, lackluster gameplay, and an uninspired world. Oblivion's world may not have been the most original thing ever, but they made it the most beautiful thing they could. Two Worlds looks incredibly bleak and not colorful in the sli
Spit Collector Review is finally back upThat's good news. I still have to deal with another strike due to Viacom removing my Helga on the Couch review for some reason, but let's not talk about that. Let's talk about the Spit Collector review and how I have even less respect for YouTube's copyright policies. Alright, you guys know how the song and dance goes, right?Spit Collector Review is finally back up5 months ago in Personal More Like This
A company that you've never heard of and doesn't own the actual content has a third party claim on your video. The company that was claiming Spit Collector was one of the companies like AdRev for the 3rd Party. I believe it was something like M4G or something? Oh yeah, that's the first problem: you cannot view who in the past had claimed your videos. There is no tab or file to see who had previously claimed your videos, which means that people can indiscriminately remove videos with no consequences if someone didn't remember who removed their video. Which is kind of hard to do when they're made up of random characters that is guarant

I've gotten all of my videos saved in backup and I'm sure that many of you guys do too. But, let's talk about importance. First of all, any planned reviews of FOX shows (Regarding Margie, Herpe the Love Sore) are going on hiatus while I sort this out. But in the meantime I'm done relying on other websites for this shit. Why I dislike The Fault in Our StarsSo, I’ve been getting a lot of asks over the last few months asking why I strongly dislike TFIOS by John Green as much as I do. And for the most part, all the recent askers have been surprisingly polite, considering the more aggressive ones I’ve received in the past on the subject. Anyway, I’ve answered a bunch of them separately, but I’ve decided to condense all of my theories, opinions and arguments into one succinct post. Why I dislike The Fault in Our Stars1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Now, I'll be blunt about my feelings on the book by copying and pasting my response to a recent ask upon the nature of my dislike.
“The story is incredibly formulaic and unrealistic, the dialogue is pretentious and stilted, cancer is romanticized and I fucking hate that arrogant ass Augustus waters with a burning passion. I liked Hazel and Isaac all right, and I guess his writing is good, but the cardboard cut-out nature of all the other characters and the complete lack of realism heap

But enough of that! Let's get on with the contest!
But before we begin, I would like to say this: The winning entry will not be based off of skill. It will be based off of CREATIVITY!
What is the contest about?
Like I promised, the contest is going to be all about the amazing music in Frozen. For the contest, all you need to do is create a scene based off of one of the songs from Frozen. But make sure to show off your creativity! Create a parody, a crossover, take one line from a song and twist it to mean a whole different meaning. The Let It Burn parodies are a perfect example! Let your artistic creativity bleed through!
What do I have to do to enter?
All you have to do is be a member of the group, and comment below saying, 'I'm in!', or something of that sort, and I shall add

The legality of Growing AroundA lot of people have been wondering how legal creating Growing Around is, so let's get this out of the way to stop any and all confusion. Yes, it is legal. Growing Around is not a sequel to Flip-Flopped. It's not a fanfiction, and it does not take place in its world or uses its characters. It's not a revival or remake. I suppose you could call it a spiritual successor though. Copyright law protects works, not underlying ideas. This does not use any of the characters from Flip-Flopped. It doesn't use the setting. It doesn't even really use the same idea any more. Copyright infringement is when a copyrighted work is reproduced, distributed, performed, publicly displayed, or made into a derivative work without the permission of the copyright owner. A derivative work? This is defined by an expression that includes major, copyright-protected elements of the original, previously created work.
