Bite the Hand that Feeds YouBite the Hand that Feeds You9 years ago in Hurricane Katrina 2005 More Like This
All the nation's hearts are bleeding, yet the flood is not receeding,
starcrossed, battered eyes are pleading for the pain to cease its breeding.
Helpless former mothers crying, weathered flesh in wheelchairs dying,
governments are proudly lying, doing everything but trying.
Starving human beings are screaming, yet the head of state is beaming,
while his plastic teeth are gleaming, death-tolls rise and hate is teeming.
Now you bite the hand that feeds you,
now you snuff the souls that need you,
corporate lust is all that leads you,
as your people beg and plead you.
All of this I find amazing, maybe now they'll start appraising,
as the fire keeps on blazing, Bush's head is still unraising.
Living in UnforgivenessGrowing up...I was taught to forgive those who have hurt me. Whether that be a friend, a family member, someone I barely knew, or a complete stranger. Why is it then...that when we're children we're taught to forgive each other and let go of what hurt us; but when we become young adults and adults, we find it harder and harder to forgive those who hurt us in one way or another.Living in Unforgiveness2 years ago in Other More Like This
Why? What does holding a grudge do for you? Seriously. Does it make the relationship between you and that person better? No. Does it give you a good feeling? Probably not. So why hold onto it? The bible says that you must forgive others for your Heavenly Father to forgive you. Living in unforgiveness...it's not good for anyone. It ruins relationships, it pulls apart families, and it smashes the ties that people need to have; especially when times of trouble come and hit hard.
So...please, look at yourself and ask yourself: Is there someone that I'm still angry at? A family member? A friend? A complete stranger?
