Photography Troubleshooting: Capturing AutumnFor many Photographers, Autumn is now officially here and is one of the most exciting seasons to capture in terms of colour, change and vistas. Early morning mist, late afternoon sun, orange, red and golden hues - Autumn has a lot to offer in many countries. If you're like me, Autumn often arrives all at once and it can be tricky to know how to make the best of the season before it's over. A couple of days of high winds and rain can ruin the best Autumnal captures by ripping the leaves down before you've even got the chance to snap - so it's great to be prepared for the season.Photography Troubleshooting: Capturing Autumn3 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Leading lines are particularly useful. Yet so many people quote ' Look for leading lines...' or 'You've captured the leading lines here perfectly' and really do we even know properly what they are? The purpose of a leading line is to draw a viewers eye into the photograph and then on a journey - through it. Think of it as a visual narrative. They can be intentional and ind
Editing My Adult BasesSo this is something that has been bothering me for a little while.Editing My Adult Bases1 year ago in Personal More Like This
A lot of people use my bases, which i am very gratefull for! However, i also sadly see it happen very often that those who do use my adult themed bases and upload them, get complaints from people that watch them. And im not talking about a mature tag, no im talking about it that people actually shame the person who used to adult base.
How dare they edit a base thats adult themed!
Like.. What kind of dick move is that?
Its their account. It has a mature tag on it. They enjoyed editing it. They decide what they want to upload. Now its understandable if its not your thing but to downtalk on those others on it? What kind of shitty thing is that to do?
So what if they edited and uploaded a mature themed base? Its their choice. They're not there to please you in what you want to see. They uploaded it because they wanted to.
Seriously.. Just dont bother others with it with what kinda bases they decide to use. Its none of your
Artist Alley for BeginnersHave you had a table at Artist Alley before? If you haven't I'm going to give you a list of suggestions for manning your table for the first time. These suggestions are not in any particular order.Artist Alley for Beginners5 years ago in Art Features More Like This
1. Do not go overboard.
You may think your artwork and crafts are really great, but it always pays to be just a little bit cautious when having your first artist alley table. The reason for this is simple, you have to test your work in the consumer market. If you become really excited and buy 100 prints for your first convention and only 5 get sold... well you are out a lot of money. If you have many prints have small quantities printed, such as 5 - 10 prints and keep track of what prints sell this will be a good indicator for what prints are most popular.
2. Be reasonable on your prices.
If you are new to the art world you may think you can make a killing selling anime/manga prints. It can be tempting to want to charge $5, $10, $15 even $20 for one of your
Oh well....Roco has released her new France model. However, this is for her community only. Since the community is for fluent Japanese speakers who have to ask and then be approved to join...Don't get your hopes up. You can't just go using some random translator. You have to prove that you know the language like the back of your hand.Oh well....2 years ago in Personal More Like This
From what I read, all her other models will be for the community only from now on.
Yes, she is well aware of the redistributing idiots on FB, Tumblr, and elsewhere who think themselves invincible. Until they STOP redistributing, blabbing out passwords, and FOLLOW the rules of her models, we may keep losing opportunities for amazing models all together and if it keeps going on like this...I predict in a few years we won't be able to get models from here or there! Why do you think there's this thing called a 'README', hmm? For decorations? Fools.
It's a shame, really. I'd really been looking forward to the new France, England, and Japan models.
Dont Sell Designs You Dont Own - FNAFI see this happen a lot, and i think it might be a good idea to point something out.Dont Sell Designs You Dont Own - FNAF4 months ago in Personal More Like This
A lot of times i see it people make Five Nights At Freddy's adopts ( which is totally cool of course c: ) however, what i also often see is that the original character designs get ponified or genderbend and then get sold as adopts.
Thing is, the original designs from the game, which the said person whom made the adopt made, are not owned by them, hence you cannot and arent exactly allowed to sell them. You do not own the original design of Foxy, Freddy and the others, and cant really sell the designs, no matter if they're genderbend or ponified or other.
These are literally genderbend versions of the original design, made on a base, and go for an actual whopping price of 100 ( or paypal or art )
Now i tried pointing this person on it in a normal way that they cant actually sell the designs since they do not own the original, and these are simply

US Government denies existance of Mermaids>>>>http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-18692830US Government denies existance of Mermaids3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Really? I mean; really?
The US National Ocean Service had to make a statement that Mermaids do not in fact exist, after they were bombarded by enquiries regarding them in the wake of a programme aired by the Discovery Channel.
"Mermaids: The Body Found" was a work of fiction but was mistaken by a number of people to be a documentary.
I'm guessing they're the same people for whom warnings are printed on Harry Potter broomsticks, reading "Caution: Does not actually fly".......

Protect Your WorkFor many artists, art theft is a frustrating reality. No matter how we watermark, logo, or constrain the resolution of our work, there are instances where artwork will be reposted, ripped, or used for commercial gain without credit or compensation. For some, this can be almost flattering, to know that there are those that like your work enough to steal it. But, the fact still remains, that your work has been used without permission, and for no gain of your own.Protect Your Work1 year ago in Deviant Events More Like This
I have been a photographer for four years now, and throughout that time I am always learning. Part of that education is around copyright, and how to protect my work. The collage above is a brief representation of some of the ways my photography has been stolen. Some were edited without permission, event advertisements, included in a calendar, manipulated to advertise jewelry, sold on canvas, for promoting a cosmetic brand, or even for music videos.

Norman Rockwell Tribute
Few artists have so definitively reflected the lives of average Americans as Norman Rockwell.
He began his lifetime dedication to being the “America’s Illustrator” as the 19-year-old art editor for Boys’ Life, the house publication of the Boy Scouts of America. A few years later he assumed his more famous position at The Saturday Evening Post, though he never b

Damn The Full Moon...It was a full moon yesterday.Damn The Full Moon...3 years ago in Personal More Like This
And i felt like the life had been sucked out of me, I had no desire to do anything what so ever, and I felt my emotions were unstable all day, even the tiniest thing would make me really angry or really sad.
Thus today I decided to do some research. I believe in the spirit world, the elements, perform Tarot card readings and things like that, so I decided to see what moon phase my element is associated with. My element is Earth, and I discovered something very interesting.
' Earth, is in the opposite direction of Fire and therefore corresponds with midnight, winter, and the new moon. '
Basically the Full Moon is the dead opposite of the New Moon. Which I personally think explains why I was feeling so drained, because it's like light and darkness, light feels like it is being consumed by darkness and drained of it's energy, and at the same time one cannot exist without the other.
Earth is also associated with the direction North, which is why I think I felt
How to draw during 365 daysHow to draw during 365 days7 months ago in Deviant Events More Like This
By the beginning of 2014 I started this account and uploaded a doodle a day during a year. It was the most challenging thing I ever did and it helped me loads on improving my art.
I've seen a lot of mentions on my inbox about artists that are starting their own 365 Days challenge and I want to write this journal to share what I've learned through my experience and maybe encourage some of you to join this long term journey.
It's okay to start simple!
My first doodles were waaay more simple than the other ones. If I had to start the project again I would still do them simple. Of course, starting this challenge is very exciting but it's a dead end if you put a heavy load on yourself at the beginning!
Focus on knowing your pace first. How much time does it take you to finish your drawings?

You no longer need to ask for permission to use my stock outside of DA or for commercial purposes as long as the stock has been edited to be your own original work. But please let me know and give me a link! I love seeing what you guys come up with!
First off, if you have read the rules there is no need to ask for permission to use the stock.
Do not repost this stock or parts of this stock on other sites/accounts unless they are your own edited works.
Also note that I ignore print requests unless you note me. Otherwise I will just consider the print request a mistake.
