Ukrainian Fascists In ActionI had someone on the deviantart political forum tell me there was no fascists involved in the Ukrainian coup.Ukrainian Fascists In Action1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I then sent him a link to the Svoboda party, and he actually told me I was lying. I SENT PROOF!
I had more evidence than that single link, but wasting anymore time on that guy was pointless...He said there was no fascists in the Ukrainian coup even after I proved it. I can not tell you how many times I have heard someone give me Oreilly and Maddow talking points on this issue.
Anyways, here are some of those Ukrainian fascists "i am making up" in action.
Look how the New York Daily News spins this situation...Just look at the headline.
Head of Ukraine TV slapped around by politicians, forced to resign on camera
Politicians? THEY ARE FASCISTS! Fascists who now have more power in Ukraine then before the coup occurred. That article then

How to get attention on deviantArtThis is probably the one question that every artist on deviantArt asks: how can I be popular? How can I make the front page? How to get attention on deviantArt5 years ago in Art Features More Like This
There are many different answers to this. I've given examples of my photos along with each point to explain.
-Be Dedicated. In order to be popular, you need to have a dedication to photography, drawing, writing, etc. Writing is exceptionally difficult to make the front page with, because many people are on here just for photography and fan art, not writings. For photography, you need to upload a lot and ask a lot of questions. Just give it a shot. It's okay to mimic your favorite artists, just not too thoroughly. Mimicking helps you see how to get better, and what makes a good photo. You can also think about sending notes to your favorite photographers. Trust me, when I first did, I was extremely intimidated, and thought they wouldn't have enough time to answer me. But most people on here are immensely understanding and nice to your situation, becau

Matthew 4:8 (New Testament) “Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.”
Luke 4:5 (New Testament) "The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world."
Here I would just like to point out that it would only be possible to see all of Earth from a ‘very high mountain’ if Earth was flat.
Daniel 4:10-11 (Old Testament) “The visions of my head as I lay in bed were these: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth, and its height was great. The tree grew and became strong, and its top reached to heaven, and it was visible to the end of the whole

PewViews on global engagement do not vary much across party lines. Majorities or pluralities of Republicans (52%), Democrats (46%) and independents (55%) think the U.S. does too much to try to help solve world problems, and agree that the U.S. should mind its own business internationally (53%, 46% and 55%, respectively). And close to eight-in-ten among each group agree that the U.S. should concentrate more on our own national problems, rather than thinking so much in international terms (82% of Republicans, 76% of Democrats and 79% of independents).

Why has communism never worked?I've run into this as an argument rather frequently on DA, and online in general. "Communism has never worked, and therefore can never work." I ask them to prove the claim, and they give the Soviet Union as the primary example, although some do give North Korea, China, or Cambodia as examples. Why has communism never worked?1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Before I get into specific reasons as to why "communism never works", I would like to clarify a few things.
-Communism =/= Totalitarianism
-Communism =/= Soviet Union
-Communism =/= Stalin
There are two reasons in particular that explain why communism has "never worked" which I have deduced and would like to bring up.
1) Firstly, communism has only existed as an ideology since the 19th century, and has only been attempted a handful of times since then. Capitalism, or at least some form of free-market system has existed for thousands of years in hundreds of different civilizations like:

I honestly don’t want to make journals about idiotic people that I come across and that’s because I honestly don’t think they deserve the attention but I’ll make an exception for this one (and hopefully I’ll never have to make a journal like this again); so please don’t go and visiting his page and please don’t contact him regarding this. My Opinion About Russia's Annexation Of CrimeaThere was this news about the referendum on Crimea's accession to Russia. As I've heard, President Vladimir Putin dismissed the pro-Western administration of Ukraine as illegal, and that the ouster of former president Viktor Yanukovych was also deemed illegitimate. In return, pro-Russian Ukrainians had already been in Simferopol, waiting for Russians to give them protection. Angry that Yanukovych was ousted from power, the Crimean Parliament had voted to cede their territory (which is Crimea) to the hands of the Kremlin (which is Russia). By a majority of vote, the Crimeans broke away from Ukraine and declared themselves independent. As a result, Putin recognized Crimea as an independent state. But Ukraine's pro-Western isn't so happy; Ukraine's interim government declared the Crimean Republic illegal, and joined the Western allies in boycotting the so-called "independent" state. My Opinion About Russia's Annexation Of Crimea1 year ago in Personal More Like This

Top 7 Most Inane Theist Arguments1)The concept that because "stuff" exists that some guy had to shit it out of nonexistence.Top 7 Most Inane Theist Arguments4 months ago in Personal More Like This
This is a self-defeating existentialism that only results in an infiinite degradation, ladders on top of ladders and pits within pits. Stuff exists, okay, people. You know why it does? Because it fucking can. You want proof? Take your hand, raise it to approximately eye level, and slap yourself. I facepalm therefor I am.
For God to exist "stuff" automatically preceded him: unless you're telling me God isn't made of anything, which seems wildly unlikely, I think, to anyone with enough gray matter to spread over a cracker.
2)The concept that religion dictates morality.
It patently does not. God is morality's bitch: if not, then why did there need to a resurrection? Why did Jesus have to die? Because there were universal truths of justice and mercy that christians must reason demanded God to go through the pageantry of torturing and murdering his favorite kid. If this i
The stubborn myth of the Christian country:Why the U.S. has always been “one nation, under gods”The stubborn myth of the Christian country:1 month ago in Personal More Like This
A historian challenges conservative claims that the U.S. has a single religious heritage.
As Peter Manseau, author of “One Nation, Under Gods: A New American History,” would have it, nothing has done more damage to the ideal of American religious pluralism than the “stubborn persistence of words spoken more than a century before the United States was a nation at all.” Those words are “a city upon a hill,” preached by the Puritan John Winthrop to his fellow colonists as they prepared to leave their ship at Massachusetts Bay in 1630. Most strenuously invoked by Ronald Reagan, the city on the hill, according to Manseau, has for the past 50 years “dominated presidential rhetoric about the nation’s self-understanding, causing an image borrowed from the Gospels to become a tene

Why? Well, according to Ham, who also runs the Creation Museum in Kentucky, there’s no point in spending money on finding extraterrestrial life for a couple of reasons: First, the search is a deliberate rebuking of God, and second because aliens are already damned to hell.
We've already peeved God by discovering that dinosaurs existed and that the Sun does not, in fact, revolve around the Earth. Now we're going to go out and discover alien species? Non-Christian alien species? Microbes on Europa that were never given the gift of salvation? No sir, we must engage our maximal level of eyes-shutting, lest we see that. We may have to use glue or staples, just so none of us are temped to peek.
The logic here, though, is just stellar. I mean it; this needs to go

Today the struggle for people of conscience appears to be less about convincing people that Israel is committing war crimes against Palestinians or grossly violating international law. Instead the struggle has become about convincing the world that Palestinians are human beings too. The ongoing televised genocidal attack of Palestinians in Gaza by the Israeli army makes one wonder what the situation would have been like if global powers and mainstream voices saw Palestinians as human beings.
If Palestinians were human beings, they would not lay scattered in the hundreds on the grounds of a crowded marketplace in Shuja’iya after IDF shelling during a four-hour ceasefire declared by Israel.
If Palestinians were human beings, the corpses of those killed

“I think our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. And I think that's what I sussed when I was sixteen and twelve, way down the line. But I expressed it differently all through my life. It's the same thing I'm expressing all the time. But NOW I can put it into that sentence that I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends, you know. If anybody can put on paper what our government, and the American government, and the Russian, Chinese... what they are all trying to do, and what they THINK they're doing, I'd be very pleased to know what they think they're doing. I think they're all insane. But I am liable to be put away as insane for expressing that, you know. That's what is insane about it.”

Serving the interests of influential combines, EU representatives are negotiating with the US government about the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Using this agreement, US corporations are planning to develop new markets for products (such as chicken meat treated with chlorine, meat contaminated with hormones or GMO plants) and technologies (such as the extremely risky hydraulic fracturing) that are unwanted in the EU. Rural agriculture would be weakened and the industrialized agriculture would gain even more power. Lobbyists are already putting government representatives under enormous pressure.
Neither citizens nor members of the EU parliament are allowed to follow the negotiations, but leaked information show that the negotiators would like to see the biggest wishes of the combines fulfilled. Lax data protection and privatization of water supplies would also conquer Europe, while it’s

I've long been interested in the origins of the Bible, specifically the Old Testament, and more specifically the five books of Moses (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy,) since these were the texts that started it all. I wanted to see what the leading minds in biblical scholarship - not theologians, clergy or apologists, but actual academics - had to say on the subject.
Richard Elliot Friedman, noted biblical scholar and professor, has dedicated this book to that purpose. He takes a look at who wrote the Bible, how many different people/editors there were, when they wrote/edited, and why they wrote or edited in the ways that they did.
Friedman spends the first part of the book as well

It is very shocking to see how females are being deprived in India. I am truly ashamed. But the most shocking thing that I have come across to know very recently from a friend of mine is that in a porn site, the 16th Dec Delhi rape case girl's pic was being used as an Ad with a message saying..

The image that was used for the Ad was this one (the right one):

Way to go, IdahoIf some Idaho Republican legislators get their way, a resolution will be passed that declares Idaho to be a Christian state.Way to go, Idaho5 days ago in Personal More Like This
OK, so forget that this kind of thing is totally unconstitutional for a minute... just, in the first place, why? First, it's a non-binding resolution. It has *zero* effect on law or regulations. I mean, if you want people to know you're not only Christian, but damn proud of it, you can always gather your little church group, go to a park, and yell it out at the top of your lungs. Do you really need to pass this in a body of legislation?
Secondly, they claim they are sick of "Christianity becoming a second-class citizen behind other religions". Seriously? Not only is Idaho one of the whitest states in the nation (86% white, 3% native, 10% identify as Hispanic or multi-ethnic, and blacks you could count on one hand and don't surpass the margin of statistical error), it is also one of the most Christian in the nation: in the latest Pew poll of religious affilia
