The Father's LoveI lie here on the cold floor
Darkness is my only companion
Depression hits like a tidal wave
Live seems so pointless
Death will always be knocking at my door
And sometimes I want to answer it
But instead I shoot up a silent prayer
I'll hope to a God if he's up there
Maybe He can rescue me
Maybe, just maybe, He will hear my cry
Maybe, just maybe, He'll see my pitiable state
And while I lie here crying I feel something
A warmth consumes my body
I feel a peace come over my soul
I fall into the love of the Father
He wraps His arms of love around me
And somehow I think I might be able to make it
The dark suddenly does seem so black
The floor doesn't feel quite so cold
And life seems like it may be worth living
In this moment of peace, I gain strength
I rise to my feet and move towards the door
The outside world will try and crush me
It will beat me down and bruise me
But I know that someone cares
And maybe, just maybe, that will be enough to get me through this life.
If God is love why is there suffering in the worldBelievers and non-believers have asked this same question. If God is love why is there suffering in the world2 years ago in Articles & Interviews More Like This
It’s like a way to blame God for all that is happening all around the world. To have an excuse to not believe, or to disobey.
I recently read someone’s conversation in the internet about this topic and that inspired me to write this.
If you want to mix God’s love and suffering. First you have to ask yourself “why is there suffering?”
Why is there suffering in the world?
Because sin ruined a perfect creation.
Sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4). When we break God’s law, we turn our backs to Him. When Adam and Eve sinned they threw away their perfection and embraced imperfection. Our relationship with the creator was damaged; and we were separated from Him (Isaiah 59:2).
The law reflects the character of God; therefore if you act against the law you act against God Himself.
The law of God is1: eternal, good, just, righteous, pure, perfect, truth, peace, honorable,

12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Let God prepare you to face the world. God's word can live through you. God wants us to be God seeking people. He wants us trusting Him and doing His will through His Son Jesus Christ. Seek God's direction through the Holy Spirit. Jesus said He would send us a helper and all we have to do is trust in Him and live our life in God's word seek His glory through Jesus. Great is our God who sent us a savior and forgives us of our sins. Thank you lord Jesus for what you did and let us be more like you.

I Found GodI did not find God in a church building.I Found God2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I found him in my lowest point
I did not find him in Sunday school
I found him when I needed his grace
I did not find him as I lived a "perfect" life
I found him when I hated myself
I found him in my imperfections
I found him when I failed over and over
I found him when I screamed at him and asked him why
Because it was then that I discovered his love
When I could no longer ask forgiveness
I discovered that he forgave me
When I knew I was no longer fit to be his child
I realized that I was made perfect
You see, I learned about God in church, but I met him in the shattered remains of my life
When he was willing to love me still
When he was willing to claim me as his own
When he saw me as perfect
That was when I found God

Who are you
Who are you
to think you know better,
to think you can save me,
to think I'd ever change my ways?
You say repent -
You say God cares -
You say it's a warning -
I'm warning you.
You have a big mouth -
I'll silence it.
See what your God does now.
Who are you
to think you can stop God
by silencing voices you do not like?
Who are you
to think you know better
than the One who made you
for better things than this?
Who are you
to think your choices right,
blind to the fact
that they're destroying you,
defacing what God meant you to be?
Who are you
to turn your back
and reject the One who loves you?
Don't you see
what you view as attack
is Love reaching out
and calling you back?
God's instructionsJames 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.God's instructions2 years ago in Personal More Like This
God's wisdom is complete and there is no errors in his judgment. The way to know God's instructions is to know his Word.
Godly Relationships 87: Fear of GodDo you possess a healthy, fearful respect for God's power? Hopefully so. After all, the lesson from the Book of Proverbs is clear: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction" (1:7 NKJV). Yet, you live in a world that often ignores the role that God plays in shaping the affairs of mankind. You live in a world where too many people consider it "unfashionable" or "unseemly" to discuss the fear of God. Don't count yourself among their number.Godly Relationships 87: Fear of God2 years ago in Editorial More Like This
God maintains absolute sovereignty over His creation, and His power is beyond comprehension. As believers, we must cultivate a sincere respect for God's awesome power. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. So today, as you face the realities of everyday life, remember this: until you acquire a healthy respectful fear of God's power, your education is incomplete, and so is your faith.
Godly Relationships 1: Choices About DatingThe choices you make will determine the quality and direction of your life. And that includes all the choices you make about your dating life. As an informed citizen of the 21st century, you have every reason to make wise choices. But sometimes, when the pressure of the dating world threaten to grind you up and spit you out, you may feel tempted to make decisions that are displeasing to God. When you do you'll suffer in more ways than you can imagine.Godly Relationships 1: Choices About Dating2 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
So, as you pause to consider the kind of Christian you are-and the kind of Christian you want to become-ask yourself whether you're sitting on the fence or standing in the light. And then, if you sincerely want to follow in the footsteps of the One from Galilee, make choices that are pleasing to him. He deserves no less... and neither, for that matter, do you.
Godly Relationships 6: Focus On Spiritual StuffIs Christ the focus of your life? Are you fired with enthusiasm for Him? Are you an energized Christian who allows God's Son to reign over every aspect of your day? Make no mistake: that's exactly what God intends for you to do.Godly Relationships 6: Focus On Spiritual Stuff2 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
God has given you the gift of eternal life through His Son. In response to God's priceless gift, you are instructed to focus your thoughts, your prayers, and your energies upon God and His only begotten Son. To do so, you must resist the subtle yet powerful temptation to become a "spiritual dabbler."
A person who dabbles in the Christian faith is unwilling to place God in His rightful place: above all other things. Resist that temptation; make God the cornerstone and the touchstone of your life. When you do, He will give you all the strength and wisdom you need to live victoriously for Him.

From people who have
No clue on how to treat the other
We all cry for a while
Then we realize
And ask ourselves
Why should we cry tears
For those who don't deserve
Even rain drops
They were lessons
In our lives
They may call us names
But we'll never fall to their will
Every now and then
People pick on our talents
only because they're jealous
And want it
They want to have something unique
So they try to steal it from us
Claiming it is all them
No help at all
God has given you each
A talent you need to awake!
To the bullies and trolls
Quit to trying to pick on others
And sharpen your personality
For the better!
Would you like it if someone
Bullied you to the point where
You implode from the inside?
Artists of all kind
I dare you to drop your means of art on the desk
Raise your hands to the sky

Whatever walls He draws in front of us
I guarantee He's already sketched
A floor plan for our escape
Godly Relationships 91: PessimismPessimism and Christianity don't mix. Why? Because Christians have every reason to be optimistic about life here on earth and life eternal. As C.H. Spurgeon observed, "Our hope in Christ for the future is the mainstream of our joy." But sometimes, we fall prey to worry, frustration, anxiety, or sheer exhaustion, and our hearts become heavy. What's needed is plenty of rest, a large dose of perspective, and God's healing touch.Godly Relationships 91: Pessimism2 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
Today, make a promise to yourself and keep it: vow to be a hope-filled Christian. Think optimistically about your life, your family, your future, and your friends. Trust your hopes, not your fears. Take time to celebrate God's glorious creation. And then, when you've filled your heart with hope and gladness, share your optimism with your friends and loved ones. They'll be better for it, and so will you.
David and GoliathDavid and GoliathDavid and Goliath3 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
The Israelites were to claim a land
God promised for them of milk and honey
The Philistines had one solemn demand
One strong man would fight from each colony
Goliath stood taller than all in height
He bellowed to the men of Israel
If they had a man that he could not smite
The Philistines would be their slaves in zeal
The youngest lad a Shepard darred battle
The Giant who swore to feed him to beasts
Perished not by swords nor weapons at all
But was struck by a smooth stone in the least
He defeated the giant as God said
A great king of Israel named David
And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the Go
The PassionHe lived a life of mockery & hatred, then was beaten almost to death, flogged till there were strips of flesh and endless blood, spat on, humiliated, stripped, wore a crown of pain, thrown around, carried our burdens & hung on a cross for all of us, willingly. Even as it happened He knew it had to be done. Even as it happened, every lash, He was forgiving and praying for all of us. He cried to Yahweh that we knew not the depth of our wrongs, praying for His mercy to us. He bore our sins, carried them, our Spotless Lamb. This is a real man. This is our King, our Beloved. This is pure, true love. No one can compare to what He endured. No one can compare to this perfect image of love. Something worthy of praise, something worthy to mourn over in humility. To think He paid it in full so that our best was finally enough. Paid in full that the Helper may help lead us back to the One who died this for us, so we may be His bride, so we may be Yahweh's children. Totally undeserving of this glorThe Passion3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
How to FeelToday I caught my heart on fire. How to Feel5 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
I felt it in my veins.
Yesterday I caught myself
Pining for spring rains.
But youyou kindled deep the flame
And colors burned surreal.
I became the firewood--
You taught me how to feel.
The cold and heartless cynic
Which winter wrapped my heart in
Melted in the summer sun
And dripped beneath your pardon.
All numbness, all bare walls I built
Around me for protection
Crumbled in your sweetness,
Your blinding bright perfection.
I felt the wind, I smelled the air,
And light became my song.
A thousand memories poured in,
A thousand moments long.
Enchanted by the fire in me,
I sought to feel you still.
I said, "Will you pour life in me?"
You answered, "Love, I will."
And so I open wide my eyes
And see the leaves that dance,
And hear cicadas in the trees
And feel the sweet romance.
My heart is caught on fire today;
This life becomes more real.
I won't forget the summer when
You taught me how to feel.
Just a reminder to believers in JesusI just want to remind us as believers in Jesus we need to pray hard for new believers of Jesus. We need to lift them up to God and allow Jesus to work in them. I Pray for us to lead, teach, and guide them as they try to walk with Jesus. Lord do not let us judge them but show us how to love them. God I pray they seek you and find a church home so we can give them strength through the blood of Jesus. I pray when they fall we will be there to pick them up. I pray we can live for you Jesus and show the world your love. I pray most of all that we share with them you can't change, it has to come from Jesus. We need to share with them it will be a hard road and it won't be easy. I pray we tell them we must give up self and live for Jesus. I pray we show them what it means to live for Jesus. I pray we can help each other and have faith in God and seeking Him through Jesus, in Jesus name, AmenJust a reminder to believers in Jesus2 years ago in Personal More Like This

Godly Relationships 2: Decide Who's FirstHere's a quick quiz: Whose expectations are you trying to meet?Godly Relationships 2: Decide Who's First2 years ago in Editorial More Like This
Plenty of people invest too much energy trying to please their peers' expectations and too little energy trying to please God. It's a common behavior, but it's also a big mistake. A better strategy is try to please God first. To do so, you must prioritize your life according to God's commandments.
Are you having trouble choosing between God's priorities and society's priorities? Are you feeling overwhelmed or confused? If so, turn the corners over to God-prayerfully, earnestly, and often. Then, listen for His answer and trust the answer He gives.
