Why GrayLu/StiLu/NaLi/etc are IllegitimateHello to all. Taking a break from toying with ZN-Lover because, well, he's been quite quiet lately (the bugger is back now, with the username TRUE-ZZMSSM7.) Instead, in light of the GaLe moment in the most recent chapter, I've decided to compose an essay explaining how basically every ship that pairs Natsu and Lucy with people besides each other is illegitimate, mainly because Gab was making comments about how the NaLu fandom was abandoning their ship and turning to GrayLu/StiLu/whatever.Why GrayLu/StiLu/NaLi/etc are Illegitimate4 months ago in Personal More Like This
This piece is dedicated not only to Gab, who I want to explain to in better detail why GrayLu/NaLi/etc are dead/crack/etc, but also to the delusional zealots who insist that their illegitimate pairing is somehow "legitimate". To save time, I will only cover the characters most commonly shipped with Natsu and Lucy, because getting to obscure crap like Metsu or JaLu would just waste time.
Without further stall, let's begin:
Gray x Lucy (GrayLu): Let's s
LOL, Lucy's fated day is meeting Natsu.I just thought of something hilarious. Lets recap.LOL, Lucy's fated day is meeting Natsu.8 months ago in Personal More Like This
Lucy thought that her fated day was the day that she's going to get a boy friend and fall in love. Nope. It was the day she met natsu. She even skipped a date for him. If that doesn't already scream, "Their fated for each other", then you must have your headphones on volume and just can't hear anything else.
But i though of something pretty funny. Lets pretend that somehow, every nalu fan died, juvia died in the manga, and natsu died, leaving lucy and gray or lucy and loke open for each other. Lets pretend that they got married and had 50 kids and what not, and were a happy couple. If gray or loke asks lucy what her happiest day was, she literally has to say, "The day i met natsu" LMFAOOO. That was her fated day. That was the beginning of the rest of her life for the better. It was the catalyst and the beginning of her adventure. So if loke and gray were to ask that specific question, "oh it would be about 8 years ago when i was

From the Personal Memoirs of Garrus Vakarian.
It was one of those conversations that I wish, in retrospect that I had never really started. Jane didn’t like me bringing it up and I didn’t really like finding out something that I had always suspected. It ended well, but not because I won the ... argument.
It began innocently; she was washing a teacup at the kitchen sink. I came up behind her and nuzzled her neck. She squirmed away, skipped over to the kitchen door and with a lascivious smile beckoned me into the yard with her index finger.
“If you want it, catch me if you can.” Jane said and sauntered away out into the yard.
I’d been lead on this merry chase many times before; all through the house and half the yard. The last time, we ended up making love on the potting ta

Italian Masters of Horror
Zombie by liliesformary
Giallo is Italian for yellow… and Horror
In the wake of the real life horrors meted out on Italians during World War II, brutalized by Mussolini and then by Nazi occupation and then having their country used as one great battleground chessboard between Nazis and the invading U.S. and Allied forces, there was for a long time little appetite for horror in movies. It wasn’t until 1956 that the first genuine horror film (a vampire story) was produced and released. It bombed, soundly rejected by the public. The film would be of little note

In case you haven't paid any attention to the shorts that played this
summer over Cartoon Network's DC Nation then you might have missed the
standout work that came from Wolf Smoke Studio.
They're the studio behind Kung Fu Cooking Girls, a short that pretty much brought a new style to the animation table:
This, I believe, is the lead key animator's profile on Pixiv. Just click the image to go there and browse his gallery. It's quality:
Always a beautiful thing to see a new studio doing so well against all odds. They're almost doing the impossible over there in China. Hopefully we'll see them producing more memorable animation. I wish them many years of success and growth.
As far as myself, I've got some animation of my own coming down the pipe. More on that in the future...I'm

There are myriad ways to avoid completing a project, and one of them is to become the eternal student. Always learning, always improving, so that future hypothetical story keeps getting better and better... While somehow never making its way into reality.
But on the other hand, it might help to know a bit about swimming before jumping overboard. So where do you draw the line? What do you absolutely need to know before getting your feet wet with a story?
I can't speak for anyone else. But when I started Dreamkeepers, I didn't know jack about story.
I didn't know about inciting events, verisimilitude, thematic armature, pinch points, none of it.
Quite simply, I did not know what the hell I was doing. Which makes for an interesting question about my first books.
Why don't they suck?

Character Secrets: Hooks, Gaps, and Caring Here's the last tip I mentioned in "Be Clueless, Write Awesome:"Character Secrets: Hooks, Gaps, and Caring3 weeks ago in Personal More Like This
If the reader doesn't care about the characters, he won't care what happens to them. End of story.
It doesn't matter how many brilliant twists unfold in your masterpiece- all just more stuff nobody will read. Unless your characters make an impression- fast. Which begs the question.
A few incredibly simple tools have worked wonders for me.
But first, one important distinction.
I've seen this advice over and over- that readers must 'like' the protagonist, that having a relatable lead character is mandatory.
Readers do not have to like your character. They don't even have to relate to your character.
They only have to do one thing: Care. Be interested. Burn to see what happens next.
You could write about a kindly old man walking his puppy to the grocer, and he could be the most likeable, relatable codger imaginable- but if he's bor

Americans have a long summer vacation tradition of visiting the foreign capitals of the world and being sure to spend at least one day in each nation’s most iconic art museum. In Paris, we visit the Louvre. In Madrid, the Prado. In Rome, the Borghese. We feel far more comfortable in identifying the different peoples of our planet through examples of their greatest art works than we do about identifying ourselves as being represented by any one iconic “American” art museum or artist. Maybe the country is just too big for one musuem and so it has always fallen to our pop arts to carry the true visual narrative of what’s going on in the hearts and minds of the masses.
Comic-Con has become the new arts and culture go-to in domestic summer vacation destin

The Sexual Innuend--Adventures of RamboboThe Sexual Innuend--Adventures of Rambobo2 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Written by Uncle Crusty...who was on Crystal Meth when he wrote this.
This is a story about a mullet headed sphincter-plugger named Rambobo, who was 600 pounds of fat and an MLG Quickscoper. One Day, He decided that he was gonna fornicate with his RPG that he named "Bob", but, Bob was nowhere to be found, He began to sit down and drink his sorrows away when he sees a note, The note reads "Rambobo, I stole Bob, cum and git mi! Yours Truly, The Communist Sister Fister"
Rambobo got all Dark and Edgy as he clenches the note with his fist and screamed "Drago" for some reason.
Rambobo set out on his Journey to find Bob, He takes Unlimited amounts of Viagra Bottles, a Pistol, his MLG Sniper Rifle, a Machine Gun, an Anal Vibrator, and Poop Grenades. During his Journey, He began to shoot up the town of New York City in search of his beloved Bob, The Cops tried to shoot him, but, he is invicnibl. He
5 Ruts You'd Better Not Fall Into As A Writer1. Seeking validation on the outside and getting shocked when you get critique. Validation comes from within, folks. Hard life lesson, but there you are. First of all, every artist of any kind has to learn to tell themselves they've done good work even in the face of their detractors. (One just hopes they balance it out with taking valid critique into consideration so they improve.) If you can't, you're not going to accomplish much. Second, I'm not saying that encouragement and fans and book deals aren't very nice things, but to the creative process they can be massive distractions. I read recently that a core of stillness is necessary to the creative process, and the more distracted I get, the more I understand it. I have seen entirely too many writers (and by this I mean full-grown adults who should be emotionally mature and everything) seek validation in a desperate and pathetic way, and get outraged when — gasp — someone tells them their writing could improve. TMNT 2012 series reviewHi everyone, how are you all doing?TMNT 2012 series review8 months ago in Personal More Like This
Well, for this journal entry I decided to do something different from what I normally do. As a kid I was a big fan of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" especially the 80's cartoon. It was the first time I got introduced to them and pretty much grew up with the series.
Later I found out there were live-action movies.....and the original comics.....and the 2003 series......and more movies....and other stuff...yeah, it's a pretty big franchise. Plus there's the upcoming movie but let's not talk about that yet.
I have seen the 80's cartoon, the movies and several episodes of the 2003 series (but have not read the original comics) and all of them were cool and likeable in their own way.
Then the CGI 2012 series came along, and it mixed some aspects of the previous incarnations while adding some new original stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS2AWPde6co
I found out about this series on Youtube, saw some clips, liked what I saw and decided to

It is not even a damn war, stop making it out that this is a serious thing, it really isn't!
he only thinks it is a war because I was one of the first to actually call him out on his poor talent.
lord now blames me for every problem he has, it's absurd.
this is especially when he speaks to people he has never met, he ends up mentioning me for no reason besides drawing attention to me and acting like I was the big mean bully who ruined his life etc.
bottom line: I am NOT the reason why he is such a fuckwit to everyone that he comes across, his poor behaviour is of his making alone, not mine.
Now here is the story from my point of view when I first ran into him.

The “alternative universe” has long been a sci–fi trope, usually simply a good–guy bad–guy heroes and villains reversal. Like the Star Trek episode (“Mirror, Mirror”) in which a transporter glitch lands Kirk on an evil pirate “parallel universe” Enterprise where Spock is a goateed murderer with mutiny on his agenda. But real scientists have complicated things considerably, with “string theory” positing at least eleven (and possibly an infinite number) of “alternative/parallel universes.”
Once upon a time, we pondered our relative insignificance as sin
