“Okay, it’s morning. Get up and get out.”
Zehnder’s harsh voice broke the peaceful silence of the morning; waking Owe, who looked around in confusion. Vex remained asleep, peacefully ignoring the irritable slender in the doorway.
Owe sat up and yawned, looking out the window to see that it was, in fact, morning. Zehnder noticed that Vex had not awoken and quickly walked over to him.
“Hey! I said get the fuck up!” He snarled at Vex, who remained asleep. Annoyed, Zehnder reached down and grabbed the sheets of the bed. “Rise and shine, motherfucker!” He then pulled them upwards, abruptly rolling--practically throwing--Vex off of the bed and onto the floor.
“Son of a-!” Vex rolled on his side but immediately shut up when he saw Zehnder glaring at him.
“Now, get out.” Zehnder turned and walked out of the room without another word.

A day passed, Ethan didn’t see or hear from Ryan or the other demon. He had wanted to speak more with Ryan, possibly convince him to help him in his situation. Ryan still intimidated him, but at least he wasn’t hostile.
After using the medical kit Ryan had given him to properly bandage his injured foot, Ethan started to regain hope for himself. He had made his way back to town and lingered for a bit, staying hidden in the shadows.
This, however, caused him to be worried again. His story was big news, everywhere he went he heard people talking about a boy who was killed by a demon; or even warped stories such as that a demon had killed and eaten a boy and then killed the entire household.
What scared Ethan the most was that while the majority of the people were scared, many others were angry. Fearing for their own lives, several people had put out a reward of cash for anyone who could bring in the demon, de

In the darkness of the early day, Esther walked quickly. It was almost twilight, the sun seemed like it would emerge from the horizon in a little bit. She sped up, that memory playing in her mind. That regained memory, and the memory of Zehnder the last time she saw him.
Esther looked around; but found no one. No cars, no people, not even a stray cat.
She looked around for anything; any clue or sign at all. Still, nothing. But then, finally, she found something. She saw a small spatter of blood, and then another, and another. She followed this trail of blood to a small parking lot next to a convenience store, only to be greeted by a gruesome mess.
Blood was all over the place. Esther couldn’t even tell how many people there were, they were all broken up. Blood, flesh, and gore covered the ground, in many places you couldn’t even see the asphalt underneath. Faces had been smashed against the wall, arms had been torn off and tossed away, and bones had been crushed and crushed

The hoot of an owl sounded, and managed to wake Ethan up. He opened his eyes slowly, and for his right eye, difficultly. Something seemed to be caked around his right eye, but he managed to look up.
He was lying on his back on the ground, in the middle of the forest; looking up into the sky. It was dark now, the sun had set and the numerous stars shined like gems in the sky. Ethan groaned, his entire body felt sore. Not quite remembering what had taken place, he tried to pick himself off of the ground, failed, and fell. He tried once more, and managed to sit up. He noticed a very strong scent in the air as well.
Something was off, his vision felt odd. The night seemed clearer to him, it was easier to point out different objects. His hand felt as if there was something on it. Ethan raised his right hand to look at it. Once his eyes made out the hand in the darkness, he gasped in horror at the sight of it.

“Ugh, so fucking bored.”
In the city, a lone man walked. He wore a black trench coat, along with a black hat, dark gray shirt underneath, black pants, and a silver tie blowing in the wind. He was unusually tall, and his stride was brisk and quick. Perhaps the most unsettling thing about him, besides his inhuman height, was the painted bandana on his face, which bared a frightening, sharp-toothed grin with piercing yellow eyes. Poking out from underneath the bandana was a lit cigarette, holding up the fabric enough to see a little bit of black blood and sharp red teeth.
This man was known to humans, by urban legend, as ‘The Pretenderman’. Most of the population didn’t believe he existed; that didn’t bother him. Although ‘The Pretenderman’ was more of a formal title, he was known by others like him as Zehnder.
It was getting late, and the sky above the city was streaked with red, yello

There had been many strange deaths recently, and there were only a few survivors who were willing to talk about it. Most of them spoke of an odd demon who wanted to play ‘games’ with them. Others could only remember a large monster, but the fear from the situation had caused them to block out the memory of what it looked like. The police were determined to catch these dangerous killers, but so far they only had one lead to their whereabouts. Someone had called in to tell them that a creature with an odd mask had been spotted going into a building. The person did not say who they were, but simply told them this fact and hung up.
This building mentioned was under construction, but was nearly finished so it looked like a normal building. A team of four cops had been sent to investigate, as there was no real evidence that the person seen entering the building was the killer.
It was late, and only a few cops had stayed behind at the station. There were three of them. Tom Anderso

It was nearing midnight. Jeff looked at the bright full moon surrounded by dark clouds. He smirked, time for another one. He approached the house that he had been watching for a while, he had been waiting nearly all day till the time that he felt safe to go inside when the resident was fast asleep. From the information he gathered by watching the house for a while, he knew that one man lived in the small house, but he didn’t know if anyone else lived with him.
Jeff looked around the outside of the house, looking for an entry point. He noticed that a window on the second floor was open, but he didn’t feel like climbing up. Jeff walked around the walls of the house, inspecting the windows to see if any of them were open. Finally getting sick of just observation, he tried to open one of the windows, it didn’t budge. He tried another, and another, all the same result.
Jeff glared at the house in frustration; he really didn’t want to have to climb up the side of the

In the deep color of the night sky, the bright moon shined down; surrounded by hundreds upon thousands of stars. The luminous moon’s light glistened off of the surface of the lake, causing it to shine like precious crystals. This lake was on the outskirts of a city, surrounded by a large park.
In the city near the park, a figure moved swiftly along the rooftops. The method he was using was parkour, and he was quite skilled at it. His large, cat-like claws indicated that he was not a human, but a demon. Clad in black pants and hoodie, along with white gloves, a black and white scarf, and a black and white mask; the demon made his way out of the city and into the park.
The demon slowed slightly when he entered, but still made his way through the tree branches using diligent parkour. He finally reached the edge of the sparse forest, if one could even call it that, and was now looking at the large body of water before him.
Perched on a tree bough, his breath caught slightly as he gaz

It was once again night. It seemed like another beautiful night, the stars were numerous and the moon was bright; occasionally hiding behind clouds only to reveal its stunning beauty once more.
Someone sat atop a building near the edge of the city, looking out towards the large lake. They were surrounded by bloody towels and used bandages. It was Kagekao, he had managed to make it to the city and find medical supplies in time to dress his own wounds.
It had been around a week since they were attacked by the shinigami. He could remember each scene as if it had only happened moments ago. He could remember holding Sadie in his arms, and then watching as she drifted away from him forever.
Kage was alone now, completely alone.

He drove up to a multi storied building that looked like it was close to being finished; but the only machinery around it was a few old trucks.
“Yeah that’s the place.” Adam replied, “They stopped working on it when many of the workers reported seeing a monster or something. Probably the guy we’re looking for.” Glen got out of the car and looked up at the building; it was maybe four or five stories high. It was a normal night. Zehnder was walking around, Esther was following. So far nothing too exciting had happened. They were walking in silence, and there weren’t many people out either; it was only about eight o’clock.
They were passing by the park, and Zehnder stopped. He motioned for her to stay quiet, and then entered the park. Staying out of the light, Zehnder looked around. Esther followed, trying to not make any noises; such as stepping on a dead leaf.
Zehnder looked over towards a park bench; someone was over there. He pointed at the young woman sitting on the bench, signaling that she was his next target. Esther expected him to simply go up behind her and smash her head in, but instead he walked away. Esther followed, confused, but interested.
Zehnder walked a little ways into the woods; far enough that a scream would be hard to hear, but still close enough to the park that it was easy to get to.

The sun was headed down towards the horizon, its bright light shining down onto a single road. Forest and trees were alongside the road, a few birds could be seen in the trees; chirping happily and living their lives. The road led into a small town, but before it reached that town, there was a small building next to it.
This building was single story, and had a large front and back yard. Small playground equipment was displayed out in both of them. It seemed like a nice little place, maybe a daycare or something like that. But upon closer inspection, it was not as enjoyable as it had seemed.
It was an old, abandoned building. The paint was faded and coming off, the playground in the front was broken and old, and much of the windows were shattered. A few rodents skittered along, searching for a morsel of food that was not to be found.
However, even in the building’s decrepit state, someone walked towards it. This person was a man, around twenty three years of age. He had slightly

As he closed the door behind him, Zehnder looked around the main room of the large abode. Looking off to the right, he saw some movement. Poking his head slightly into the large main room was a dog.
The dog was a moderately-sized German Shepherd. The tags on his red collar jingled slightly when he turned his head towards Zehnder. One gold tag was engraved with his name: ‘Maximus’; though he goes by Max for short. His fluffy tail was down, almost between his legs, and his large brown eyes seemed to be filled with worry. Although Max had been around Zehnder for a while, he was still anxious and scared of him.
Zehnder looked around the room again, and, seeing that Max was the only other one there, began walking towards him. Max whimpered, his ears going down slightly. He turned and trotted away quickly, down the hall and out of sight.
Letting out a barely audible growl, Zehnder followed. Max soon turned around and walked

After his encounter with the demon in town, Ethan decided to return to the forest. However, he had realized again his hunger, and decided that he had no other choice but to do something about it. He had managed to steal some food from a stand to feed himself. He didn’t like stealing, but he didn’t really have any other options.
Only after satisfying his hunger did Ethan make his way back to the forest. He looked around constantly for any signs of the demon he had encountered before, but didn’t manage to detect any trace of him.
Ethan didn’t really know if he wanted to see that demon again. He was glad that the demon hadn’t killed him, but he didn’t seem all too friendly with him either. The next time Ethan encountered him, maybe the demon would be bored and then decide to fight him. Ethan cringed slightly, remembering the demon’s menacing claws sheathing and unsheathing so easily.

Near nightfall, two people were driving home. They were both men of around twenty years of age, and were roommates in an apartment. Discussing random thoughts that came to their minds, they were both content.

Ethan awoke with a jolt, and opened his eyes quickly. The first thing he seemed to see from the forest floor was a dark figure looming over him.
He gasped and blinked a couple of times to clear his vision, and then looked back up. The dark figure was gone. Ethan stared at where it had been, wondering if it had really been there.
Sighing, he decided that it didn’t really matter if it had been there, it was gone now. Ethan looked upwards at the sky. It was dark, but it was gradually getting lighter. He must have slept throughout the night.
Ethan pushed himself up from the ground, and managed to sit up. A flash of pain from his leg reminded him of the events from earlier, and he slowly looked down at his foot. He grimaced at what he saw.

“Hooray! It’s the weekend!” A little boy cried as he ran out the front doors of his small elementary school. The bell marking the end of school had just rung; and the children were walking, although most were running, out of the school. Many of them eagerly started home to their parents, but a few stayed behind to chat with their friends.
A small group of children gathered to speak to one another about their weekend plans. There were about five of them, and they were all in the same class together. In the third grade, their lives were carefree and happy; the only burden being homework or chores.
