There are separate folders for nude stock. Watching this group will result in quality pose reference stock appearing in your inbox!

NaNo ResourcesI'm no good at preparing ahead of time, but I feel like I need to. So, I've started collecting resources to help me do just that. And it seemed like something that might help more people than just me, so here's what I've got so far! Please let me know if there are other resources you swear by, I'll happily add them to my list.NaNo Resources9 months ago in Personal More Like This
Don't forget that if you're having trouble finding any particular resource, there's also a Helpful Resources & Sites forum on the NaNoWriMo site where you can post a thread and hope someone else has good ideas. (No, Camp doesn't have its own forum, all links to forums from the Camp NaNoWriMo site all go to the larger site. There is an area of the NaNo forums devoted to Camp, however.)
Update: I'm just going to throw this out there... a friend linked me to Jim Butcher's blog about how h

I can mentor you in: Prose
Specifically, I can help you with gearing up to submit a work of short prose (Clarkesworld's guidelines recommend 1000-8000 words) for publication.*
*The publication bit isn't strictly necessary but it's a damn convenient standard.
Let's be clear, I don't have a lot of works in pro-rate publications, or for that matter otherwise, and I only ever edited the one book, but having another pair of critical eyes is really damn helpful. I know how much I appreciated talking to people who had some experience when I was starting out, so I'd like to pay it forward.
I'm not going to pretend this will guarantee you a spot in any magazine at all. As I said above, publication in this context is mostly a damn convenient standard for whom I'm interested in working with. Part of that standard is really, really wanting yo

Yeah, I'm very lazy this days in the matter of writing journals... the things I need to mention are growing bigger and bigger and also amount of wonderful artworks I'm getting from you is expanding rapidly!
So it's been a long while since the last journal entry. I wanted to let you know that these days my "artistic" activity suddenly became insanely intensive. I'm getting alot of dance performances (for which I need to make new costumes) photoshoots with amazig photographers I used to cooperate with and new ones! I don't post my "non-stock" photoshoots here anymore (as I don't have time for that... and I would like to keep this account here just for stocks (I'm not going to erase previous non-stock shoots from here, don't worry, I know some people keep them in their collectiond). If you would like to follow my non-stock works please "like" my page on facebook "http://facebook.com/apsararaqs" .
I also started to cooperate with two new photographers who take stock pi

Just a small rantNo one take offense to this, i am just writing what I am thinking at the moment.Just a small rant1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Note - Do not ask an artist for free art. It is very rude. Artist spend a lot of time and effort in all that they make. Many artist live off of what money they can earn from the art they draw. Please check their page to see if they are doing requests.
If not, don't ask.
You would not walk into a clothing shop and ask if you can have that shirt for free? "Oh I really like this design, but i don't want to pay for it. Can I have it pleeeeassee?" What do you think the response will be? Please do not beg an artist for goods. They are already poor enough, XD
And if you ask for an art trade, please look at your own work first. This is a bit rude too if you spend less than 5 minutes on a drawing and the artist you ask looks like they spent days on their part. If you do not know the time they spent, feel free to ask them. Then think about asking them for an art-trade.
Just be considerate when asking anything
StudioJust wanted to give a little tour on my materials that I use to paint (or what I find works for me)Studio3 years ago in Personal More Like This
*Liquin- Used to use mineral spirits, and linseed oil but I found how much linseed oil tends to turn all my colours yellow. Mineral spirits became too watered down many people asked if I painted with watercolours. Liquin and a bit of poppy seed oil makes a perfect mixture. (Almond oil is what I want to try in future)
*Brushes- Round Synthetic mongoose. Flat square brushes was my fav back in the time but no longer.
*Pallet- I buy a painting frame with glass for $8 then I put a white paper under the glass and use that to mix my paints. I used to own a little fridge where I would store my pallet over night (it never dries but your fridge will smell like oil)
*Reference photos- I tape an ipad to my painting and I can zoom in, play music, photoshop and skype while I paint. Best invention ever !
*Paints- I have upgraded to higher more expensive paints thanks to my gift cards (think of it as an

One of our Co-Founders is Jedimike. Michael is a professional traditional artist who lives in Puerto Rico. Michael made it his personal mission in January and February to submit over several thousand pinup/glamour artworks from all over the DA community. We thank him so much for the many hours of dedication and volunteering within this exceptional group. Many hundreds of DA members now have first time exposure to the PinUp-Club group. Mike is priceless!
In no particular order is shown a very small sample of some outstanding Artworks from literally several thousand submissions shared with us in January 2015. I apologize that we cannot feature every one. We do really appreciate every one of you.

Fantastic Stock and where to find it - Feature 16I’ve been making a collection of some of the brilliant stock artistsFantastic Stock and where to find it - Feature 164 years ago in Art Features More Like This
works that I have come across. It started off as stock I can’t provide
myself so I look for other peoples so I can suggest them. The way I
choose is quite odd, when I see a stock image I have an instant image in
my head of what I could do or create out of that piece of stock. The
image also has to be crystal clear and easily altered.
Anyway, Check them out, I’m sure you’ll agree, just click on their deviation.

How do I price my art?NOTE: This is a quick tutorial on the BASICS of pricing things in general. EVERYTHING in here, such an numbers and examples and just E X A M P L E S. After you read this thoroughly I'd like your opinion too.How do I price my art?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
This is a subject that lot's of people have trouble with. And I am not referring to people who are about to price their work and start taking commissions, but also the people who comment on other people's works, saying their prices are unfair. So here's a quick guide thing according to my knowledge on the basics of pricing things. And I will mention both digital and traditional art.
I'll be using my
slave'sfriend's art as examples for some points.
For the example: quickspace and Berneri ♥

SAY NO TO FREE ARTEvery day, there are more and more posts on here seeking "artists" for everything from auto graphics to comic books to corporate logo designs. More people are finding themselves in need of some form of illustrative service.SAY NO TO FREE ART8 years ago in Art Features More Like This
But what they're NOT doing, unfortunately, is realizing how rare someone with these particular talents can be.
To those who are "seeking artists", let me ask you; How many people do you know, personally, with the talent and skill to perform the services you need? A dozen? Five? One? none?
More than likely, you don't know any. Otherwise, you wouldn't be posting on here to find them.
And this is not really a surprise.
In this country, there are almost twice as many neurosurgeons as there are professional illustrators. There are eleven times as many certified mechanics. There are SEVENTY times as many people in the IT field.
So, given that they are less rare, and therefore less in demand, would it make sense to ask your mechanic to work on your car for free? Woul
Great stockers with fair rules around dAAdded 11 new stockers 18th of August 2014Great stockers with fair rules around dA2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
As I am lately back with some manips, I thought its about time
to make a journal with some of my favourite stockers
Why they are my favourite? Well they are for several reasons!
Each of those who will be listed here, will have:
good to excellent quality,
Sizes which are usable beyond webpics shortest side at least 1200,
(that excludes cutouts, jewellery or any stuff you wouldn't need as primary object in your manip and seamless patterns)
Rules that allow commercial usage (at least on dA and on request for outside dA)
Rules that allow outside dA usage without being forced to slap the stockers name ON the artwork itself.
or Rules that are fully unrestricted
This includes stock-providers that take a few points for their stock, because I rather pay a few points if the TOU's & quality are grea

TensionYou've probably heard about tension and know it's a big deal, maybe even the biggest deal in storytelling, but why? What is tension, and why is it so important to storytelling?Tension2 months ago in Personal More Like This
What Is Tension?
According to the New Oxford American Dictionary, tension is defined as:
a strained state or condition resulting from forces acting in opposition to each other
Applied to the wonderful world of storytelling, tension is all about one simple question: What will happen next? This uncertainty creates strain or anxiety, and the only way to relieve it is to keep reading and find out what happens next.
Tension and release is actually a cycle that builds up over the course of a story through what's known as pacing. Check out this awesome video explanation.
Tension is not conflict. Even though you will see the terms used interchangeably in some instances,

✿ Watercolor Equipment II - Additional Tools
In the first week of Artist's Toolbox, we discussed basic Watercolor Equipment such as paper, brushes and paints. Second week's article presents additional tools, equipment that some artists use to enhance their watercolor creations or just for the fun of it, however none of them is crucial to create a watercolor painting.
I divided these tools into two categories - those used to Create Highlights and those used to Create Textures. Bottom part of this article belongs to our watercolorists and their Personal Experience regarding additional tools.

So you've written something freaking awesome. You've edited a million times (and if you haven't, turn around and go do that. Right now). You think you maybe want to take the leap and try publishing something. But you have no idea where to start.
Well, this is a good place to be.
This the journal where I'll be keeping a running list of all the publishing resources I find, both on and off dA. Most of it will probably be related to literary journals, since that's the stage where I'm at in my literary career, but I'll add things about book publishing as I find them.
If you ever find a great resource, or if you'd like to request something specific, please leave me a note in the comments.
Also this journal is probably going to be s
