How are you? I'm just fed up XD
It said that some psychologists tell some patients, to healing:
- 1st step is admitting you have a problem I do.
- 2nd step is identifying the problem I constantly abandon my doujins.
- 3rd is learning how to correct it Applying the only effective methodology that worked for me in the past with the only doujins I finished, I mean, the 2 doujins I have for sale.
I don't know if some of you also have this problem: you start some story (drawn or written) and you end up abandoning it... you try to encourag

How art tutoring should be nowadaysYes. Another one of my rants that starts with a personal experience. How art tutoring should be nowadays1 year ago in Deviant Events More Like This
It was a day like any other, and I was just surfing DeviantArt, browsing the many deviations in my inbox. While I did so, my eye wandered to something that was called an 'tutorial on manga anatomy'. As usual, I was curious about the content. And as the preview image was pretty small, I wanted to check this out. It seems like this girl, let's name her Abbey (it's not her real name, but I think calling her 'that girl' is so damn confusing) had made a tutorial on male manga anatomy. Nothing wrong with that, you'd say. But I've been following Abbey for a while already. I originally met her in the forums, asking for feedback on one of her fanart drawings. Mostly anatomy related stuff. I gave her some tips. We talked a bit. And I followed her soon after, as I thought her art looked pretty promising altogether.
Now, I didn't know Abbey in real life. But she was a beginning artist, nowhere towards a level

Birthday Scuzzle! BREAKING NEWS! Something terrible has happened!Birthday Scuzzle!3 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Some naughty mudkips invaded dA and stole a very important photograph. The stunning photo was a gift for all of you to celebrate deviantART's 11th birthday. It is devastating to confirm it is now missing.
Witnesses say that the mudkips were spotted sneaking out of an open window, but we cannot confirm until a full investigation has been reported and all evidence collected.
In the meantime, the photograph remains missing. Moonbeam13 is currently searching her spellbook to find a way to bring the image back.
Stay tuned for further updates. A full report will be issued on the 3rd August.
What is a Scuzzle?
A Scuzzle is a combination of a Scavenger Hunt and a Jigsaw Puzzle. There will be lots of missing pieces of this Scuzzle ready for you to find. Although there are some subtle clues to help you along your way, you will need to search high and low for them! Come back on the 3rd August for the hunt to begin!

I went to bed so late, it was friday, I didn't turn off my computer and left several programs and the web browser open.
Next morning (saturday) my dad phoned a computer specialist because we were having internet conexion problems.
Ok, my dad came into my room with that guy at 08:30 a.m. YES, I was sleeping like a pig and they came into my (dark) room without even asking (sometimes my dad can be so retarded that creates this kind of rude, uncomfortable and surrealist situations unintentionally)
When that guy saw me on bed was like "WTF is all this :iconwtfisthisplz: but this man paid me so I must do my work(?)". He sat on my chair and started to close programs in my pc to work properly. My dad was standing on his right and looking
Fan Fiction On deviantARTGalleries MonthFan Fiction On deviantART4 months ago in Literature Features More Like This
What Is Fan Fiction?
Everyday, we are inspired by movies, television, novels, and other forms of media. They engage our minds with a variety of stories and characters, their plights and triumphs, their everyday minutiae. Fan fiction authors are so enamored with these other worlds and their inhabitants that they must partake in the stories which have brought them so much enjoyment. They expand on the current universe, explain gaps in the narrative and delve into characters' motivations.
A good fan fiction (or fanfic) is more than simple borrowing another writer's characters and universe. The fan fiction author must immerse his or her readers in the story, make them believe it is a natural extension of the source material. Characters have their own mannerisms and quirks; each universe has its own history and rules that need to be followed. The fan fiction author must master the nuances of those characters and the world they inhabit (unless purposely writi
Did You Know - Thumbs CodeThumbs CodeDid You Know - Thumbs Code9 months ago in Art Features More Like This
Whenever you do a feature or maybe want to link to a certain deviation the thumbs code is a very handy feature. It allows your viewers to see a smaller version of what you are referring to directly.
But did you know that there are several ways to make thumbs appear?
The most common way is to grab the thumbs code from the sidebar of a deviation.
That way you will get a little preview no bigger than 150x150px.
Another thing you can do is to create a big thumb. For that you just need to add 'big' to the thumbcode, like :bigthumb###:
For our example it will look like this.
Big thumbs will get no bigger than 300x300px.
Alongside those and thanks to AddMedia and Sta.sh you also vary the size on your own.
Either choose deviations from the AddMedia sidebar and make use of the transformation corners or use this code

Racial Activism and MeHey hey hey! Rob here with another "something-to-get-off-of-his-chest"!Racial Activism and Me3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Time and again, I'm approached by some of my audience asking "Rob, why don't you ever draw black people?" First off, they may have not even looked into my gallery for those people of color or what have you, because they're there, sure enough.
The long answer is:
Well... what gets me is that when they find out I'm black, they expect that I should hold some sort of allegiance to "my race" or "make a change" as a "popular" black artist who can, figuratively speaking, "put blacks on the map".
There's nothing wrong with that, of course, and there's nothing wrong with people whose main goal is doing that. It's their lives, they're free to believe in whatever they want to.
But to hold me to a certain level where people think I'm obligated to draw my race more often than others because of the "history", I don't agree with. I'm an African-American born in the 80s. I was not born during the times of t

"It's not always easy to stand aside and be unable to do anything except record the sufferings around one. - Robert Capa"
The Pulitzer Prize Winning Photos were announced this week and with it a debate was sparked about how best to display the controversial winners. The winning shot is Photo-journalism at it's best - and indeed humanity at its worst. The image depicts a young Afghan girl standing in the midst of the after effects of a bomb explosion. She is covered in blood, and around her lay bodies. Whilst the publication of graphic images has been a tough and much debated topic for some time - the very taking of such photos has sparked cynicism and unrest between many. Photo-journalists much of the time take their lives into their own hands when they document the horrors of this

Irrational Confidence and how it Helps the ArtistFolks,Irrational Confidence and how it Helps the Artist1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I was doing some studying of construction this morning and it got me to thinking on some stuff that might be helpful to you crazy kids that wanna break into comics as artists.
When I was coming up, I had an irrational confidence. I didn't know it was irrational at the time, but I can now see it upon reflection. I just KNEW that I was gonna be able to do this one day.
But when I go back and look at old drawings I did, I think, "What the hell was I thinking?" I mean, I was BAD. I definitely could draw, but I was a complete amateur in every way. A hobbyist. I was a guy that had a better jump shot than his friends and somehow I knew that meant I could play in the NBA.
This confidence could have been a hindrance, though, if it was the wrong type of confidence. My confidence wasn't that I was already good enough to draw professionally. My confidence was in that I would look at art and think, "I can figure out how to do that".
I've seen plenty of guys along the way that had the w
How To Photograph Your CraftsThe absolute number one cause of rejection of DD suggestions for most Artisan Craft CVs is poor photography. There is nothing worse than seeing an otherwise brilliant piece ruined by a dodgy photo. But even beyond DD acceptance, if you want to people on dA to be able to appreciate your skill you need to be able to show your work off to advantage. How To Photograph Your Crafts1 year ago in Art Features More Like This
Sometimes I'll tell a self-suggester that I can't feature their work because of the quality of the photography and they'll inevitably reply, "Oh, I'll have to get a better camera."
Repeat after me: the tools never make the artist.
You don't need a $9000 sewing machine to stitch a dress, you don't need a $1000 stand mixer to bake a cake, and you similarly don't need a top of the range SLR to take a brilliant photograph. It's all in how you take the photo.
To help us understand photography concepts a little more, Fella is going to help us out. Say hi Fella!

Not only did the colors come out neon yellow and even green in some parts, there were large ink smudges on 50% of the books, while another 50% had uneven spines.
This is how the books came out. Neon yellow.
Note: colors may vary depending on your monitor screen so it may not look too bad on certain computers, but it looks bad in real life.
And then there are smudges that you can find on the right side of every other book. The scanner actually made the smudges less obvious, but again, it looks very bad in real life.
Finally, half of the books had varying degrees of uneven printing on the spines that is symm

When it comes to photojournalism we often think about the importance of "speaking out". It's what we do and what we believe wholeheartedly in, often at great risk. Which is why it can be easy to forget that the first step in photojournalism is actually shutting up and listening.
Amazing design: Remoraid Octillery Mantyke MantineWarning: long article ahead.Amazing design: Remoraid Octillery Mantyke Mantine3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Remoraid is a small blue fish pokemon. It's entire body is made to mimic a handgun, complete with a trigger, butt of a gun, hammer, and a gun's front sight. The inspiration is due to it's ability to shoot jets of water from it's mouth, including a variety of beam-based moves.
Although mostly based on a remora, a pure saltwater fish, it can be found in a variety of freshwater locations throughout johto due to the lack of water types at the time (same as chinchou).
This is explained in the games by it swimming down to the sea when ready to evolve. It's also partly based on an archer fish (it's ability to shoot down bugs out of the air) which would partly explain this.
Upon it's evolution to Octillery, Remoraid changes drastically, which has often stumped many fans. The reason for this is due to the similarity between a tank's tracks and an octopus' tentacles, and a turret and an octopus' snout. Remoraid essentially goes from gun to tank. This is proven by it'
