Ranger's Apprentice! 1 Halt turned his head to listen more carefully. He had been following the same girl all morning, and he was getting tired of it.Ranger's Apprentice! 12 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
The girl knew as much as he did in unseen movement, it seemed, and even his trained eyes could barely place the girl. From what the report from Crowley had said, her brother was the infamous Deathstroke: The Terminator, aka Slade Wilson. She needed to be stopped at all costs, if they where to find out where Slade was hiding. But she did have talent, and maybe he could convince Duncan not to kill her. Give her a year, to see how things went under his wing.
The report also said her name was Emily Wilson, the daughter of two, now dead, assassins. Emily was just about as old as Gilan, Battle Master David's son. Emily had stopped to rest, wrapped in her jacket, and Halt realized that she hadn't eaten anything all day, even when he was sure that she would. Nor had she drank anything. He started

Prologue, part 1
“You knew, Erak!” Morgarath accused him. “You knew.” Then realization dawned on him. ”This is the one! Arrows, you said! My Wargals were hiding from arrows as the bridge burned! Ranger weapons! This is the swine who destroyed my bridge!” The voice rose to a shriek of fury as he spoke.
The dark lord hand shot forward and seized the ranger’s Oakleaf in a grip of iron, jerking the boy forward. He wanted to tear his gaze away but the man’s black eyes seemed to allure him, like the kalkar’s.
“You worthless ranger,…” Morgarath growled. “How dare you burn my bridge!” his ominous look was drilling the boy’s brown eyes inside out. The apprentice couldn’t say any word.
The chain where the bronze oak leaf was, started to encroach neck’s skin as the result of hard grasp. One tear flowed down his cheek

Prologue, part 2
At the same time, near the Plains of Uthal, King Duncan was working out at the plan with his advisors. Nobody was sure, what to do. Create a plan assuming halt would be successful? What if the unthinkable happened and he lost..? But no one from the lords of the fiefs wanted to say their thoughts aloud. So far the grizzled ranger had never been overwhelmed.
Suddenly, everybody felt an agitation. The first line of Skandians appeared on the hill. Their horned helmets were shining when the sunlight fell on them. In front of the soldiers, was one, lonely, green-grey man on the small horse. A few warriors were running after him with lifted axes. At one moment, the blade of the weapon whisked really close to the pony’s tail. But the animal did not want to surrender and it sped up leaving the sea wolves in its wake.
“Is that the ranger Halt?” asked a soldier standing next to the S

Chapter 1, part 1
Morgarath and his army were reaching the Three Steps Pass, from there they could go into the mountains from there. Wargals were walking and growling rhythmically, as they used to. Their scary grumbling had already given the creeps to more than one courageous knight.
Will was sitting on his bay horse and thinking about recent events. For all this time he had had Halt’s figure in his mind. Even if the man’s face was hidden by hood, the boy was sure he saw disappointment in his eyes. He was sure that his mentor had been angry at him. After all, Will was a ranger! Okay, maybe an apprentice but he still was a member of the Corps. He should not let it happen at all! And what had he done? He let Morgarath and Skandians kidnap him, as if he was a child! The youngster knew that he was over-whelmed and that was crushing him from inside. For some people it would look strange but the
Ranger's Apprentice Themes: Part OneAs a reminder, all Characters and songs belong to respected owners. I own only my opinion. This first one will be (hopefully) for the heroes and heroines of the series Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan.Ranger's Apprentice Themes: Part One1 year ago in General Fiction More Like This
Will Treaty: Hall of Fame; The Script Featuring Will.I.am. Will was a hard one to pick. He does so many things in the books, but is a Ranger, and they hate the spot light. So, there. Nuff said.Horace Altman: A Star is Born; Disney's Hercules. I am going to get so much hate for this from fans who cry "Foul!" over the use of a Disney song for a character as far from Disney as you can think. But hear me out. Who hasn't heard this song and read the books-Most notably Book one-where you haven't thought of Horace? Halt O'Carrick: Had Enough; Breaking Benjamin. Like Will, Halt was a difficult choice. He is such a mysterious character, and we don't learn much about him....until(spoiler) book eight! Commander Crowley: Here's to
Avengers/Ranger's Apprentice 1Emily Wilson stood in the cover of trees on the side on the road early one morning, her gray-green cloak helping her blend into her surroundings. There had been reports of a strange group of people walking through her fief, though she highly doubted it. She kept to good care of her fief, Caraway Fief, to have a strange group of people to come and destroy that. She sighed to herself. It had been a year since she had graduated, and got her powers. The Rangers were still a strong force of 50, like always, but there was something wrong.Avengers/Ranger's Apprentice 12 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Crowley had reported during last year’s Gathering that there would be no Gathering for the next year. The news had shook the Corps to their boots. They always had a Gathering, no matter what was going on. Then he said the thing Emily never wanted to hear him say. Ariana, his apprentice had gotten deathly sick. She looked like she was on the road to recovery, he had said, but she died in her sleep a couple of

"Just make the contract and grant my wish!" The girl shouted. The demon smiled even wider.

Jasmine Phantomhive sat up right, breathing heavily. That same nightmare. Always that nightmare.
She sighed as she slid off the bed, being wary about Sebastian. Walking over to her closet, she realized that she forgot her eye patch, which lay on the table next to her bed. She sighed again. Before she could go a step back, however, the door to her room created open, and Sebastian walked in, a small frown creasing his forehead.
"You need to stop trying to sneak around me." He said. He noticed where her gaze was, and he walked over to the table, and grabbed the eye patch. He gestured for her to sit down on the bed, which she did, and he gently picked up a pale blue b

So very dark....
Even now, it seems like darkness will forever consume my very being.
It encompasses me, delicately wrapping its' cold, invisible fingers around me. Around my heart.
"Dinner is prepared, Master."
It is amusing how a simple flick of my wrist sends them scattering away like helpless cockroaches.
No... it's disgusting. Absolutely pitiful.
"Would you care for anything else, Master?"
"No. Leave. Now."
"Yes, Your Highness."
Yes, Your Highness... Yes, Your Highness.... if only you knew how badly those three simple words pain me.
But you do know... Don't you, Claude?
Yes, of course you do.
It's obvious. Why else would you repeat that phrase over and over again?
To torment me. To drive me insane.
To inflict psychological wounds far worse than you could ever hope to understand.
They have the gall to wonder why I lash out at them.
It's because deep down....
Everyone seems to fawn over that Phantomhive brat. Even Claude.
