ExileYou look and look in one small place,Exile2 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
but you do not know where.
Searching through the emptiness,
For something never there.
The walls are painted white,
and not a whisper can escape.
The depths of nothingness surround,
Heavier than any drape.
You sense the tug and pull of it,
Without feeling a thing.
Silence bursts your eardrums,
For you can't hear yourself sing.
Noise and movement fade away,
and so does all that's real.
You squirm from the uncertainty
In the last moment you can steal.
Gone, gone, and all is dark,
While everything's so bright.
Numbness sinks into your bones,
and you crawl towards the light.
The CallThe air is alive with the call of the free, enticing those who hear it to join in with the joyful melodies. The Call4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
To sing to the skies and feel the Earths' pulse, rhythmically keeping everything in perfect balance.
To dance carelessly with the wildest of creatures and act on pure instinct like the animals themselves.
To cast off all shackles, those things of fear and hate; to be without name, without thought or judgement, and to be fluid like the ever changing River, yet strong like the ravenous flame that both destroys and creates.
To join with life's breath, giving and taking, a part of everything, passing but eternal.
To be one with the Earth and need nothing more than all that she gives.
The air is alive with the call of the free...
Can you hear it?
Fires in WinterA frost creeps white across the grassFires in Winter2 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
and crunches underfoot;
and tendrils of a freezing mist
swirl everywhere I look.
The air is cold and crystalline,
it burns my teary cheek,
but deep within the coldest climes
remains the searing heat
of ardours born in seasons past
that through the long, dark winters last.
No FearI have no fear,No Fear2 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I'd love to say.
but what I fear,
is here to stay.
I have talked of fear, with all my friends.
and have long realized the idiocy of revealing your "worst fear"
To tell is foolish, for they want to know,
so they can taunt you, hurt you, or make them laugh.
And so, I say, I have no fear.
To prove it, I will do anything.
Jump from planes,
ski the hardest runs.
stand before crowds,
All eyes on me,
I never sweat.
No one knows, that I too have fear.
I fear heights.
I fear pain.
I fear crowds.
I fear Attention.
When the crowd laughs
My heart stands still.
When my dreams are read,
I stand naked before you.
Ashamed, but always smiling.
I do all these things,
to prove I have none.
I fear the loss of control,
I fear being made to do them.

Broken and bleeding, we’re tenderly feeding
Our life’s blood to vampire beasts we
Our God given brains are sucked down social drains
By things called “entertainment”, bent toward
Trust and Hope tied up in Government rope,
Struggled at first, but were brainwashed
While the pitiful masses wear rags and raid trashes;
They look forward to nothing, but can’t wait to
We’re so satisfied with the ones who have lied.
They feed us on deceit, we like the taste of
While the world and our bodies fall apart all around me,
We find that we all still do nothing
These grins on our faces show pain in more places
Than we know how to count, we can’t even
So we sit in the same place with this smile stuck on our face,
Hoping someone somewhere puts a stop to
