Whellcome HomeA short horror story...Whellcome Home1 year ago in Short Stories More Like This
Long time ago, there was a heart-warming home of a modest family of three. Before that, it was nothing more than an old abandoned house. When they moved in, the young couple restored it and planned to raise a family there. Soon enough, their son was born and the old house lit up with joy.
Their life, however, wasn't easy. Work demanded long trips for the couple. On such occasions, their son would stay under the care of his grandmother, who lived nearby. She wasn't always in best terms with the couple. Still, the boy would often stay for several days and, among many things, he loved grandma's stories of local folklore, witches, bat wing recipes and magic cauldrons. He liked it there. Nevertheless, nothing compared to mom and dad arriving to pick him up and going back home.
Unfortunately, home vanished from the boy’s life too soon when his parents died in a tragic car accident. His stay at gr

That say the words that I cannot speak.
Hurray, for lightening,
That strikes the blows that I am not strong enough to throw.
Hurray, for thunder,
Shattering people's thoughts in a way I never could.
Hurray, for nature,
Shedding the tears that I refuse to let anyone see.
TempestIt is difficult for me to speak of why I took the form I did. I am not the only god who has reshaped myself so drastically. Bast took the form of a humanoid cat, for example, leaning more towards the human side so as to avoid the anthropomorphic connotations. She is slender, her hair is short and feels more like fur, and her faces narrow – pinched, almost. Her ears are elongated and pointed but remain in their proper positions, and her fingers and toes are tipped with retractable claws. She has a tail. Some of her followers mimicked her appearance, requesting that Bast reshape them and she obliged. At the time, this was a controversial thing. They call it 'Bast's gift' now. Others have followed their example and try and style their appearances after us. There are even some that dye their hair white.Tempest1 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

My boyfriend is a rockstar,
and don't know that I exist,
He lives so far away from me,
That gets me really pissed,
My man was born so long ago,
He's long-gone past his prime,
My sweetie's in the graveyard,
But he's still my valentine,
From Seattle down to Woodstock,
From L.A to Tennessee,
From Liverpool to London,
Our love can never be,
We'll never be together,
Cuz I was born too late,
And with THIS guy setting standards,
I'll NEVER get a date,

In the days before air conditioning, there was only one way to pass a hot, muggy summer evening in Japan. Slip into a cotton Yukata kimono, carry an Uchiwa fan in one hand, a cool glass bottle of Ramune soft drink in the other, and sit on the porch and try to enjoy any breeze that might come along. All the house lights would be turned out, and the ubiquitous Katori-Senko mosquito coils would be burning, giving off that distinctive, almost marijuana-like aroma. If there wasn't a breeze to be had, people would pass the time by telling ghost stories to cool each other off. And what a collection of ghost stories the Japanese of old came up with! What makes these Kaidan ghost stories that much more chilling for the Japanese is that they are based on true stories.
Case in point...
Yumi-chan sat with her family on their wooden porch. She was eight years old, the youngest of three children. She liked the summer evenings, as the family g
Bathtub thoughtsI’m laying here in this lukewarm water in this bathtub, wondering about life, wondering about everything.Bathtub thoughts1 year ago in Free Verse More Like This
I’m just laying here in silence, I only hear the small drops from the tab but besides that, deadly silence.
There are war some places on the earth right now, people who screams for help, children carrying weapons, lingering at the trigger not sure to pull it or not.
And I’m still here. I feel no pain, only the mental sickness drowning me.
I take my head underwater and the silence disappear. Screams of terror rip the quiet water apart, making waves splash up against the sides of the tub.
I’m nothing but a tiny stone in this enormous ocean, being tossed around like nothing. Grasping for air and I pull my head up again. My lungs are full with the water which now is cold.
And I hear the silence again, the screams are gone. But the ocean is inside my lungs now and a simple stone as me can’t do much. My fragile heart beats

I am an infant
I am a child of this Earth
Same as you
I was born for you
I saw my mother bleed for you
I saw my mother die for you
And I knew that I was next
I am a toddler
I am a child of this Earth
Same as you
I was kicked around by you
I was pushed and shoved by you
I was locked in a tiny cage by you
And then you left me there
I am a teenager
I am a child of this Earth
Same as you
I was broken for you
I was beat and abused for you
I was growing fat for you
And soon I will die for you
I am an adult
I am a child of this Earth
Same as you
Surely I was undeserving of the pain
Surely I deserved better than
To live among the dead and dying
Surely I did not deserve
To be slaughtered in such a way
I am not human
But I am a child of this Earth
Alive and Living
Same as you

From their hate,
And their shouts.
Dont look back,
Just keep on walking.
Just a few more steps.
Sink down with relief,
On the cool dirt floor.
Focus on the hands laying there,
Blocked out by the trees,
And the tall-growing weeds,
The small body is hidden,
From unwanted eyes.
Block out their yells.
Retreat to the land,
Of pixies and magic,
Where no grownups,
Spoil all the fun.
In this land,
All it takes,
And pixie dust,
To fly away,
From all of these problems,
If only it were really that simple.
A simple call,
Brings reality spiraling back.
A name called through a window,
She pulls her small body up,
Drags her weary feet,
Slowly, ever so slowly,
Through the un-mowed grass,
Across the lawn,
And up the steep back steps.
She steps into the open doorway,
Once again swallowed up,
By the terrors and torments,

Soft white fog crawled up glass where your breath hit the cold glass. A small giggle vibrated in your throat as you lifted your fingertip to the fog and dragged it inside the white splotch. After a few seconds you dropped your finger and looked to your small glass heart. Once Upon A Time In Greece-Disney (Ariel x Megara)Chapter 1: Shipwrecked?Once Upon A Time In Greece-Disney (Ariel x Megara)6 months ago in Romance More Like This
Long ago, in a time of ancient gods, warlords, and monsters, Megara walked the sandy shores of Greece alone as the sun climbed ever higher in the sky. It was no special day; the gods had smiled on the weather, making for a beautiful day, and the King still sought for a woman to wed his son, the prince, who was nearing his thirtieth year and, dreamer that he was, had turned down every princess and noble that had come to call.
Meg tossed her long auburn hair. She was nowhere near nobility. In town it was whispered that she was a tramp, but if they knew the truth, the rumors wouldn’t be so rampant. Meg had given her life for a man who’d left her for a woman who could better satisfy him in the night, and ever since Hercules had returned to Mount Olympus, she had sworn off men. She was lonely much of the time, but by her own admission, loneliness was much better than heartbreak.
Her modest sandals dangled by their thongs in her fingers, and the warm sand

What if you could see the faces
of the animals lined up for slaughter?
The souls being skinned and scorched alive,
just for our eating pleasure.
Can you hear the cries,
that make your meal?
Or look into the eyes,
of all the veal?
Tied around that post from birth,
a murder will surly come swift.
Babies torn from their mothers,
with no chance of saying goodbye.
They are forced to have another,
to keep the process alive.
Squirming and squealing, no escape,
chickens hang upside down,
to fuel the greed, of this murderous clown.
Another day gone by, another meal
your actions, another life will steal.
Pay no heed to the truth,
living beings turned to meat,
for another bite to eat.
What's really on your plate,
another murder, or just your dinner?
Why not start with a clean slate?
Realizations are easy to ignore,
these living creatures deserve more.
We need a fresh start,
change only comes from the heart

Blood being pushed faster and faster.
I feel my veins start to pop in my forehead.
My body aches and calls for my loving bed.
My every thought is concentrated on this,
And that which is no where near bliss.
I sit down and the dog comes and sleeps on me,
This is something extraordinarily odd you see.
I start feeling so much pain at this point.
Seems a fire started at every single joint.
With my neck stiff as a 2x4 in winter
Throughout my mind, pain begins to splinter.
Brilliant reds fill my vision when I close my eyes.
Some thoughts I wish so desperately to disguise.
Laying in bed awake, I dream of a swift death.
Not dying of ever lasting failing health.
No instead a direct shot to the heart,
Or something conjured by someone smart.
Either way it's just another fantasy,
To get me through the day. You see,
I know I'll eventually have to go back,
And figure out what brought this anxiety attack.

Childhood Friends (Creepypasta)Helena and I were friends since I can remember. We played together, we laughed and cried together, we even ate dinner together sometimes. Our friendship surely was one of the special kind. You see, I never was the very sociable type. Kids always used to laugh at me for my strange looks, thus it was hard for me to make any friends. In fact, Helena was the only true friend I've ever had, but she was enough for me. Her smile alone made me go through another day of my miserable life. She was kindhearted, open minded, and overall the most gracious person I've ever met in my life. Chapter Two: Malfunction
In the dilapidated underground lab of the notorious Clefairy scientist, Dr. Solaria Clefarious, a robot Shaymin in its Sky Forme, formerly the intellectual investigator, C, was exhibiting itself for its master and her happy-go-lucky Whimsicott assistant, Tony. It was looking around the darkened room, its red tinted pupils emitting a beam of red light.
“Shaymin_Bot,” Clefarious spoke, pushing up her glasses. “Issue your scan report.”
The moment the command was spoken, the obedient machine stopped its scanning and turned to face its genius creator. “10 items of machinery found, all deactivated and in critical condition,” it reviewed, the red glow in its eyes dying down. “No other life-forms found.”
“Wow! That was impressive, C, yep!” Tony complimented, patting the Shaymin’s back.
“Inaccurate statement, Whimsicott,”<

Forced is the keyword there. I live with my parents, as I said earlier, and once my mother noticed how I had unusually large natural breasts, she signed me up at the nearest place to show off my boobs. Hooters happened to be that place. I could still be happy that there wasn’t a strip club closer, because my mother wouldn’t have hesitated to sign me up there either.
I resisted the urge to adjust my orange short shorts due to them being so tight against my thighs. If there was anything that boys liked more than my breasts, it was my large ass, making my curves, from my thighs to my waist, sexy. The first day I
Wrapped Up In HerselfWhen she was six I came home one afternoon early and found her in my room with my box of art supplies upside down and my collection of long peacock feathers glued to her belt to make a lackluster skirt. The feathers were longer than her legs so when she backed away from me, surprised that I had come home, she tripped and smacked her head against my desk. There was an orange half moon on the horizon of the wood always after that. The funny thing was, I hadn't been angry in the first place. Seven days later she told me she had stolen the peacock feathers because she'd been learning about them in school. Her teacher had told her that peacocks were the most beautiful of all of the animals, and she told me that she wanted to be beautiful too. That night I'd tucked her quilt around her, kissed her sore little forehead and told her; you are already beautiful. Why do the animals have to suffer?
The poor little things,
'cause they didn't do anything wrong,
It's us humans that cut down their hospital wings!
Why are we messing with animals' homes?
Don't they love their houses to much?
They love it, yes, they love it there,
no other place is good enough!
Why are the animals endangered and extinct?
I miss the frogs hopping on the emerald pads,
the fishies swimming in the ponds are gone,
because the litter is much too nasty, lads!
Why are the animals dying out?
The teeny rabbits I don't see,
tigers are roaring; their deaths are aproaching,
they'll soon be history!
Why are we humans murdering creatures,
we don't know much about?
Killing, shooting, cutting down trees,
didn't you just hear that orangutang shout?
Why isn't the animal kingdom joyful?
Did the misery litter the happiness?
How I miss the cheerfull laughing instead of crying,
the lush green grass hid the gloominess.
The reason is: us humans are selfish!
