Once, there was a little boy. His father died in a battle and his mother during his birth. The name of the boy was Veyt, he had been put into an orphanage directly after we was born. The children in this orphanage were treated like dirt. They were sent out early in the morning to beg for some money in the dirty streets of the dirty town, but even if they got some money, the operator of the orphanage would take it anyway. No one took care of them. They got just enough to survive. Not more. Most of them died after some years, some caused by a disease, some died while working in the mine (every orphan had to work there) and some others were given to the dragon as a sacrifice. That was another big problem. The dragon lived somewhere in the forest, no one knew exactly where he lived but the dragon terrorized the whole town. Every year at midsummer he urged one of the children to be his sacrifice or otherwise he woul

The feeling of hard and cold stone pressing against his skin: cold, uncomfortable. A warm breeze was blown into Veyt's face. It wasn't a breeze, it was a breath. It was hard to open the eyes, the daylight was bright as ever and his eyes hurt while slowly opening. Then again, Veyt felt the warm breath on his face. Suddenly the light faded as something bended over him. Veyt's eyes became adjusted to the light and he could see the thing that bended over him. It wasn't something, it was someone. A face, a smiling face. Veyt knew the face, even though he hadn't seen the face for a while, it was still in his mind. Once, he had a friend with a quite similar face, it was an old friend from the orphanage. Jacob was his name, Veyt smiled as he thought about him and the human face bending over him smiled as well. Veyt was still half asleep, it was impossible. The human couldn't be his friend. His friend Jacob died one year back. He rememb

Adrian got up early today. He was going to the nearby lake to go fishing. He put on his clothes and took his fishing rod and a small backpack with baits and some bread for himself. He knew that it was dangerous outside of the village. People told him that there were dragons that could swallow a human whole. And even though Adrian had never seen one, he was always a little bit scared when he went out of the village.
Demon was resting in cave after a long hunt with some of his friends the night before

Mike looked at his map. Still more than 50 kilometers until he could reach the next village, but only if he walked fast and didn't make any breaks of course. The boy sighed. He was alone in the forest of the northern territories in Canada, just having a map, a compass, some food and his camping equipment. Even though it was summer, it was still quite cold during the nights and his sleeping bag barely kept him warm. But after all, that's what he wanted: Adventure. Just living outside the society of this sick world and become one with nature. Well, at least that was the plan, but he took the wrong way a day ago and walked about 20 miles into the completely wrong direction. He could only guess where he was now, but he was rather good prepared for living outside in the woods for several weeks. It shouldn't be a big problem to find the next village.
Mike folded the map and put it in his backpack ag

Phillip is Ragingfire1.
A young man was walking through a forest, his steps heavy with exhaustion. Grass flattened with every step he took, and leaves crunched every now and then. Squirrels and deer scattered as he made his way through the foliage, a face of concern on him. He looked to be about nineteen, and every step he took seemed to be a burden. In the distance, he could see somewhat of a glade.
He had been lost for some time now. Phillip had only been planning to go hiking for a short time, just to relax himself and let his nerves rest. Nature was a calming thing, and it had been doing its job maybe a bit too well. When he came to his senses, he no longer had any idea where he was. Originally, he had began to panic, but calmed himself down. If he was lost, doing nothing but worrying would not help. So he continued on his hike, hoping to find something, anything he could use to find his way home.
The glade began to come in

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Michael asked. He looked worried. He had let him sleep on his side. Sometimes, when Michael was scared at night, he just put his head on the warm scaly chest of the dragon and listened to the relaxing beat of his heart, because he knew that he would be safe as long as this heart was beating. My best friend Robin and me had chartered an old Pilatus PC-6 to discover the Himalaya mountains from the air. I put on my headset on and contacted the tower: „Lukla tower, Pilatus 173 ready for takeoff“. Our plane was the only plane at the airfield at this moment and the sky was clear. I knew that the weather in the mountains could change in two minutes but I didn’t care. I was just happy and couldn’t think of anything bad at this moment .“Pilatus 173, Lukla Tower, start at your own discretion”. “Start at own discretion, Pilatus 173”, I pulled the thrust lever forward and the old plane vibrated when the speed increased. The early morning noises and colors of a new, blooming summer swept across a peaceful countryside. The glaring sun above depositing its nourishing rays on the grass and flowers that lined the earth. Urban cities bustled with noise and fumes; the industrial image of the free world. Great mountains arose like natural skyscrapers; their desire to touch beyond the sky always present. Upon one of these mountains lay a creature that nobody thought existed. A creature that the entire human race couldn't believe existed. Sitting on the edge of a plateau was a dragon.
He was leaning on his right forepaw which was curled into a fist that lay on his right cheek. His gaze shifted lazily between the horizon, the trees, the sky, and the birds that flew past. He noticed everything within miles, but they laid only at the very edge of his consciousness. His th

It all happened so fast, I don't understand! Why my family? We didn't do anything wrong, they just came and... let me just get straight to the point. My name is Josef.
When I was a lad, I was small, quite thin and had short, brown hair and hazel eyes.
I used to live on a farm. Our house was quite small, and was made mostly out of wood and cobblestone, and the closest city to our home was Solitude. I lived there for 8 years with my parents, who I would often help out with on the farm. I was a single child, but I didn't care. The area was nice. We lived in a clearing that was surrounded by a lush forest that was teeming with life. I lived a happy, peaceful life with my parents, until one day, when I was 10 years old, they came.
It was late at night and I was trying to get to sleep in my bedroom. My parents were in the lounge, sitting by the fire and relaxing after a hard day's

The pain was horrible and the boy felt hot blood dripping from his wounds and running down his back. The procedure was over. Two men pulled him up on his feet again. One took a knife and cut the ropes from Keto's arms and hands. He was still whimpering and the other man slapped him. "Stop crying idiot...this will teach you not to run away anymore" Then they brought him back to the other slaves. Keto's whole body was shaking and he could just barely walk. The others didn't even look at him. One of the older slaves gave him his pickaxe back, then went back to the quarry, they were working at. In the middle of a desert, or more like a sandy wasteland. A boy awoke, opening his eyes slowly. Panic starting to seep into his mind upon seeing the sand. He put his hand on the back of his dark brown hair, removing his hand quickly afterwards with a pained expression. He looked over seeing a backpack. Slowly he crawled across the burning sand and opened it, finding a half empty bottle of water, a bandage, and a note saying good luck. He let out a low growl crushing the note, tossing it aside, then he put the backpack on and started walking in a random direction.
A few miles away, a female dragon with vibrant purple scales flew, enjoying the desert heat.
The boy continued on, shielding his eyes with one hand. Dehydration was already kicking in, but he didn't want to drink the water 'till he absolutely had to.
He reached the top of a sand dune, letting out an irritated laugh as he saw miles upon miles of desert. He started shaking his head then pressed on

It would be a day that would change my life forever.
It was about, I dunno, say nine o'clock at night? I was playing, yet again, on my Xbox. My parents had left on an important business trip to Hoenn, and left the entire house to me. After all, I was seventeen years old. We all thought I was old enough to manage by myself and our large house on my own.
Boy was I wrong…
Anyway, I was relaxing, playing games, talking to friends online, eating the lasagna that my mom made for me. I was generally having a peaceful, enjoyable time. After a while, I thought I heard some sort of odd commotion goi

A knight without a name.
Well... I have a name, but no one cares much about it! I am just a pawn, in my king's plan. I have no say in how the plans could go and no one cares about my thoughts; my only objection is to continue to follow his orders, without question. Failure to comply... would mean certain death.
I didn't like those rules, but I couldn't speak my tongue, without the chilling thought of being beheaded for speaking my mind! It is a sad life, but one that I must follow. Thus is the curse of my life I must live.
