In order to make a character your readers will believe, you first need to know him or her extremely well yourself. This guide created by Tyler Lehmann gives some useful direction on what to think to and include in character profiles for a whole rounded individual. Think carefully to each one, and ask yourself why you have chosen that answer throughout, as you want the characteristics to make sense and have connections, such as fears connected to an event in the past where that fear was born, as to give a pinpoint as to why your character feels as

The Photographers Guide : Taking Quality PhotosThe camera is just a tool, it's not magical. You don't even need a DSLR to be a photographer. Anyone can take a picture on any device, and it be considered art. It is how you do this that most effects your outcome. For example, take me. I don't own a dedicated camera - used my camera phone - the Nokia N8 - for each and every photograph i have clicked that is in my gallery. Sounds odd ? Well its the truth.

1. Simple line sketch to rough out the pose and composition of the image.
2. Black and white quick render to determine what kind of lighting looks good. Sometimes I skip this step if I'm really confident.
3. Quick flat paint of local colors to determine what colors the lights and shadows should assume.
4. More rendering via simple painting, while integrating the line sketch into the final drawing.
5. Continue rendering and look out for alternate compositions that may look better.
6. Using various modification layers such as multiply, soft light, hard light etc, render out the lighting a bit more. Plus some final post-processing work to round it off.

How to Draw Manga! Hands Introduction
Hands are a very important part of drawing any character, often in cartoons the hands are caricatured, but in anime and manga this is often not the case (except in chibi form). Understanding the anatomy of the hand can assist all animanga artists. Hand proportions are also important, lest the artwork suffer from tiny or huge 'yaoi hands'.

Hands are made up of segments, muscles and skin over the bones. Often block forms are used to get the basic shape as shown here:

Basic HTML Formatting GuideIntroductionBasic HTML Formatting Guide2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
HTML is a markup language used to create web pages. It primarily consists of content placed between named tags that define the layout or style of that content.
Is it just me or does trying to explain HTML and what it does always seem to make it sound more complicated than it actually is? Very simply, HTML is the building blocks of the web. With it you can create a web page right from the foundations of the layout to the finishing touches of style. Don't get me wrong, it is a fairly involved topic but it really is quite simple to pick up the basics.
What I'll be helping you with here is the formatting aspect of HTML. These are the things that add colour to your page and make your font fancy.
Below you will find a number of examples of HTML formatting that you can use to style your own web pages, dA profiles and journals. All you need to do is copy/paste the code and replace the sample text with your own content. Along with the quick reference I've also writ

Did You Know...
...DeviantART has a mass storage system of all your gallery deviations?...you can manage all of your gallery deviations from one location?...you can move deviations into "Storage" and essentially remove them from your gallery while preserving the page view, favorite, download, and other statistics?
THIS IS ALL 100% POSSIBLE!
Many of us have deviations in our galleries that you no longer have the computer file for and would be devastated if you lost them… Ever thought, "I really don't want to download each deviation to my computer or sta.sh but I just don't want them in my gallery any longer! Then there's a handful of deviations I want to turn off comments for. I wonder if this can be done all at once?" If this is you... Keep Reading!
How to earn points:faq279:How to earn points2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Yeah. My articles are based off of FAQs But I've had a lot of people ask me this so I'm gonna try my best to answer it. I won't guarantee that you'll be a multi-millionaire and able to swim in a pool of points but I can help you earn some.
For starters, I have to tell you what points are! You can't earn them if you don't know what they are.
To me, points are the currency of dA but they are worthless unless they were earned using the commissions widget, which I will talk about later in this article. But having a lot of it can be good and bad in a way.
Let me start you off with the bad
People will ask you for it! (Not that giving is a bad thing but once you get a page full of comments asking "points plz" you'll wish you've never had any of those wretched things. )
Now for the good
Giving points to people can make then happy!

EVEN MOAR SKIN SWATCHES!
The best way to improve is to draw from real life. That's the best way to learn. If you don't know how to draw a certain angle of a hand or an arm, you shouldn't fudge it, you should always look it up and figure out how to draw it right. Hiding the hands behind the body is a no-no, people! The proof of bsing is easy to see: http://neofox.deviantart.com/journal/ART-knowledge-is-power-282518336
But often it's very hard to weed through the crap to find good stock to use as reference. So here I am, doing the work for you and naming some helpful resources.
I've been teaching my friend Kitteh how to draw, so I'm learning first hand just what steps to take to improve.
There's one very special thing you must do to improve. With this special thing you can go from amateur to pro. And that's PRACTICE. You can get all the references and tutorials you want, buy all the books, save all the tutorials and referenc

(According to wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Shades_of_red) Also note that these are not going to be exact, but only the general idea.)
Falu red or Falun red (in Swedish Falu rödfärg) is the name of a Swedish, deep red paint well known for its use on wooden cottages and barns. The paint originated from the copper mine at Falun in Dalarna, Sweden. The traditional color remains popular today due to its effectiveness in preserving wood.
Scarlet (from the Persian säqirlāt) is a bright red color with a hue that is somewhat toward the orange. It is a pure chroma on the color wheel. It is redder than vermilion. Traditionally, scarlet is the color of flame. It may also refer to the color of the blood of a living person.
Using HTML on deviantARTUsing HTML on deviantART5 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Hello and welcome to my little html tutorial. I've been working with html codes for a couple of years and I'm going to teach you what I know about using some basic html on deviantART. This won't make you a html expert or something and I'm not an expert myself but it will give just enough knowledge to make your journals, comments, news articles and other neat and lovely looking.
deviantART actually has FAQs about html but I still wanted to do this because they look a bit unorganized, in my opinion. Also, why would you want to look for those FAQs when you can just open this news article where you have everything in one place?
You may already know some of these, but I hope you'll find at least something helpful in this news article.
