She didn't want to think about anything, as (Name) was that type of girl. She always had her head up in the clouds and never bother with interacting with others. You could have said that she was quite the loner but that wasn't the correct term to say it. (Name) was simply somebody who prefer to keep to herself. But because of her being the type to keep to herself, she never noticed a certain pink haired male always looking at her.
She never noticed him always looking at her with such a loving and yearning gaze.
She never noticed.
She never once noticed.
(Name) yawned and leaned back on her chair to feel an odd, uneasy feeling staring at her. She looked back and forth, and around her surrounding if somebody was staring at her, but noticed nobody. She shrugged thinking that she must've been playing tricks on her own mind.
Halo: More than FictionThere are Halo fans, and then there are Halo fans. There are gamers who preorder the game as soon as such an opportunity is available, spend months patiently awaiting its release, attend the midnight distribution to acquire their copy, and rush home to spend hours blitzing through campaign missions. The Halo franchise has made a hefty impact on culture worldwide, most significantly Western culture, and millions across the globe have experienced the wonder of turning on the Xbox and hearing that timeless, haunting Gregorian melody which precludes the coming joyride. It's only natural that within the fan base there would be people who take the concept of being a "fan" to another level entirely. While many are "Normal mode" fans, these individuals would be best classified as "Legendary," or dare I say "Mythic mode" fans-- those who go above and beyond the call of duty (no pun intended) to express their love for Halo

Spartan-G202 sighted down the barrel of his sniper rifle, a slight grin playing on his lips. He wished the other members of his team could see the downright evil smile he was about to give this Covie bastard, before he blew the alien's brains out. But they were all wearing helmets with reflective polarized visors, so they couldn't share in his fun.
"Ooh, right in his eye," whispered Spartan-G326, pleased with the results. "Look at that, fell right down on that Grunt."
"Brutes: big, ugly, and stuuuu-pid," quipped Spartan-G015, snickering. "Check out that Jackal, man. He's freakin' out."
BLAM. "Not anymore, he's not."
"Can it, you three. We got bigger problems," hissed Spartan-G176 from behind them. "We gotta wait for Team Rapier to give us the signal. Then we move."
"All according to plan," said G326.
Two more armored figures silently made their way into the small clearing, pausing before lowering their weapons. Their Semi-Powered Infiltration armor shifted and ch

Bells toll into the night of New York, their sounds drifting through the dark winter sky. Their distinct song can be heard from miles away, recognized by all who live in the city. Some sound strong and deep, like thunder after a hot summer's day, others soft and frail, like the whispers of an angel. All of them join together in their wordless song, beckoning their listeners to come and pray.
The Riverside Church is an icon of New York. A strong, large symbol of God's presence in this city. It is visited daily by many of its citizens, for activities from baptism to weekly sermons, and is considered a pillar of the community. Yet at this time, the place is quiet and the need for spiritual guidance is outweighed by the need for food and rest after a long day of work. As such, the church is as good as empty and within its ancient walls, a single man quietly prays.

O'er hills we go
Fragging all the way
Needles 'round us ping
Making our shields bright
What fun it is to shoot and sing
Our slaying song tonight!
Jingle bells, Prophet smells
Jackal laid an egg
Hunter got annoyed at him
And tore off his leg
Jingle bells, shot gun shells
Hope it never ends
Oh what fun it is to fight
And kill all of your friends!
A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon the Arbiter
Was seated by my side
The Warthog it was jacked
And then we both got shot
We plowed into a mass of Grunts
And then we got upsot!
Oh, jingle bells, Johnson yells
Throw all your grenades
Flood is gonna kill us all
In many gruesome ways
Jingle bells, though I fell
I'll respawn again
Oh what fun it is to fight
And kill all of your friends!

I watched among the pink sunset.
The sun dipping below the rosen skys, giving the clouds that filled that rosen sky their color.
I imagined Her birds, flying into that bask of light.
Hell, if I wasn't on duty, or in the UNSC's military power... I definately enjoy Her bask of glory.
But not just me who's gonna be with me... I want all of Noble Team to see this magnificent beauty.
Also, minus this hellish war. The Covenant, the destruction, and everything that that religious group of aliens they brought upon.
But there's nothing that could be done. I wish that I just could reverse time before the Covanent attacked Reach, but I cannot change physics of space, and time.
Everything has been done.
The attacks of both Inner and Outer Colonies, the deaths of millions that the Covenant has committed, and...
The deaths of my Spartan brothers and sisters.
Especially the deaths of Noble Team.
My heart still aches because of this...

Her limbs didn't want to obey her, her body ached and ached, but she made herself fight, desperate to survive, crazed and determined. She wielded her assault rifle like a club, swinging at Henry, missing him as he casually sidestepped her blow.

Maybe she wouldn't have to actually kill Henry, just get past him and launch the pod and get the hell out of here. Henry could kiss Flood, for all she cared. You groaned as your bindings didn’t come loose like you’d hoped. You were dangling from your bounded wrist in a dark cellar, and despite how cold it was, you were sweating from efforts of trying to get free. You rubbed the side of your head on your extended arms, trying to rub off the blind fold you were forced into or maybe the gag that you’ve tried nonstop to gnaw through, but both were too tight and secure. The gag muffled your curse toward it, like it didn’t want to hear your mouth. You’d been like this for hours; you could just feel the skin of your wrists and ankles blushing with abuse. You paused to regain strength and were forced to listen to the chorus of grunts and whimpers around you.
‘Damn,’ you thought ‘This wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t of read that invitation!’ you cursed the very moment. If you had minded you

Steven-W467 and Robert-R113 stood their ground as a dozen Elites dropped from the three Phantoms cresting the landing pad. The leader was a gold-armored general, a zealot on either flank. The remaining force nine rangers with jetpacks flew overhead, leaving the Spartans to deal with their commander while they went into the battle.
"This doesn't look good," Steven muttered as the three Elites stared them down, swords in hand. He had his sniper rifle loaded and ready to fire, as did Robert with his shotgun, but neither they nor the Elites seemed eager to make the first move.
There was a good half-minute silence as the two groups continued their standoff. Then the silence was broken by a droning noise, growing slowly. The zealots snaked their heads left and right, trying to determine the direction from which the sound was coming. The general's gaze remained fixed on the Spartans, and theirs on the general.
The drone had turned into a roar, and suddenly a Warthog leaped over

When I was a child, I heard the fairy tales, just as any other child has, which talked of things of princesses and knights and 'true love'. You just simply cared for your family, cherished your friends, and found a person to spend your life with. That it could beno, would be a swelling rush in your chest once you had met a person you were destined to be with was not what I had thought of before these events transpired.
By heaven's stars, I figured a person would have 'true love' as simple as it came: the princess in distress, the knight who would save her, and happily ever after. The two simple, almost passive words that described the ardent feeling of taking a vow for another person was not the feeling I had in my chest at that moment. My feeling was painted so plainly, like the modest picture that hung on the wall next to me in the dimly lit back room of the church.

Anor Londo. The city of the very gods themselves. The grand capital of Lordran, home of the Lords.
There was a time, when those who wished to even set foot in this great city had to prove themselves vigorously, whether battling and defeating their peers in the battles of Stoicism, or going on a pilgrimage through the fortress of Sen, to confront Snake men, demons made of titanite, and also a giant golem made purely from iron, rumoured to have a core made from an ancient dragon.
There was a time, when despite the legends and myths behind it, every human that set foot in Anor Londo all agreed that every story was in fact an understatement. Returning champions would talk of giant soldiers, fully clad in brass armour, wielding brass shields and halberds charged with lightning. They talked of marble cathedrals and keeps, a giant painting guarded by white robed blade masters. They would talk of the Silver Knights, the chosen warriors of Gwyn, armed with a w

A lone Pelican dropship flew westward across barren cliffs. A few wild animals scattered as it approached, intimidated by the roar of its engines. To the north cumulonimbus clouds brewed, but the impending thunderstorm was not Colin's concern.
From the copilot's seat, Colin-Z957 could see the silhouettes amongst the clouds: UNSC frigates and Covenant cruisers, engaged in battle high above the plains. The air between the conflicting craft was filled with 50mm high-explosive rounds and bolts of contained plasma. While no lightning had yet struck, the skies already flashed as the storm of war covered the planet.
Such was the scene all over Reach. The defending force of the United Nations Space Command was stretched thin, both across the planet's surface and in its orbit, trying desperately to fend off the alien invaders.
It had all happened so quickly. A massive Covenant armada dropped out of slipspace at the edge of the system, then immediately advanced, picking off the orbital defenses

That was how long that they had to stare down into the maw of death, holding the cursed red line from the massive host of the infected. It was four against what seemed like the entire populace of the town; which in hindsight may have been depressingly true.
