Thank You!Thank you guys so much for the deviousness award! But it's really not just this award, thank you all for the support through out the years.
I can honestly say that I grew up with this community and everyone here has taught me so much, and not just about art, but also on how to be a person. When I first got this account at the age of 12, I could have never imagined how much it has shaped my life and career. It sounds cliche but I probably wouldn't have became an artist if it hadn't been for everyone here on deviantART. Through all of the ups and downs in life, the community has always been the support and inspiration that kept me going.
I hope to give back as much as everyone has given me. I will continue to create more comics, tutorials and art in the future. I will never stop, and I have you all to thank for that.
So truly, thank you!

Feel free to download the images for any class projects, music videos, translations, etc. Please credit and remember that I drew these for everyone to read for free, so do not try to sell or profit from my work in anyway. See you at Anime Destiny!Hey guys!See you at Anime Destiny!1 year ago in Personal More Like This
This is will be the last con of the year for me, and what better way to end it than at the con held by my very own university I'll be at the annual Anime Destiny convention this November 16 at the Clark Kerr Conference Center at UC Berkeley, CA. As usual, I'll be in the Artist Alley with prints and books.
This year the Artist Alley will be in the Krutch Theatre due to construction of the usual location. Anime Destiny is a small con, but it's also one of my favorites because I get to see a lot of my old Berkeley friends there, and meet news ones as well. If you live in the bay area, come by and hang out!

Thank you everyone for entering! You're all sweethearts ; w ;
Hello, all~~ <3 Christmas is only a week away and I'm feeling very festive so I wanted to give back something to my watchers.
Something I've always loved is the idea of Christmas cards... but I don't know enough people to send out Christmas cards (LOL) so what I think is who would appreciate it more than my watchers. ^7^
Unfortunately I can't do it for everyone, so I'll do a draw for seven final people (I changed it).
The only rules are that you have to be comfortable giving away your address. xD; (You can live anywhere in the world.)
This probably seems ultra creepy, but it's not-!! I just want to spread the festive cheer and give something back to my watchers (something I haven't done in awhile).

Manga character design classsssssNEWS ITEM: I have a character design class launching on Skillshare.com this month! I am often asked about running drawing workshops, and sometimes I'm able to do them, and sometimes I'm not (work! travel! stuff! fear of public speaking!). And I certainly can't run them in many places, because countries are big/teleporting not invented yet/really, 21st century, really, not even a flying car come on... LUCKILY THERE IS THE INTERNET. So we have a budget that needs to get passed every year to keep things running. The president gives the budget to Congress and Congress approves of it. Except that Congress is so inefficient at getting things done, they often wait too long to pass the budget by the deadline. So generally what happens is they pass an extension to take care of it later, which shouldn't be a big deal. But this year Republicans added an addendum to the extension saying they wanted to bump Obamacare till next year, and squabbling ensued.
Now Obamacare has already passed into Law. It's even been upheld by the Supreme Court. There is nothing Republ

It was a day like any other, and I was just surfing DeviantArt, browsing the many deviations in my inbox. While I did so, my eye wandered to something that was called an 'tutorial on manga anatomy'. As usual, I was curious about the content. And as the preview image was pretty small, I wanted to check this out. It seems like this girl, let's name her Abbey (it's not her real name, but I think calling her 'that girl' is so damn confusing) had made a tutorial on male manga anatomy. Nothing wrong with that, you'd say. But I've been following Abbey for a while already. I originally met her in the forums, asking for feedback on one of her fanart drawings. Mostly anatomy related stuff. I gave her some tips. We talked a bit. And I followed her soon after, as I thought her art looked pretty promising altogether.
Now, I didn't know Abbey in real life. But she was a beginning artist, nowhere towards a level

Ramblings about 'internet fame'A lot of stuff has happened lately in life lately, and is has made me think about things, and about my perspective on it. One of those things, is the internet.Ramblings about 'internet fame'1 year ago in Personal More Like This
As some of you know, I'm a huge nerd. While as kid, I didn't had a computer at home, and I hated those damn machines because I wasn't able to work with them at all (so much fail T__T), I soon caught up when I got my first computer at age 14. And while most of my family expected me to end up as a hopeless internet addict, I soon started to learn myself how to program. The rest is history. With my 26th birthday, I also celebrated being a webprogrammer for 10 years already. Oh yeah, I'm getting old for sure.
The recent chain of events have caused me to think about the internet and it's role in life, however. When I first started out with art, I was only a little girl. Me, and both of my younger sisters, were all very creative. And we spend almost all of our time drawing at the kitchen table, while discussing about the characters we

I just got my first own house, and I'm currently in the process of moving there.
It's quite a mess at the moment. Moving boxes all over the place. There are a lot of things to take care of. And I don't even have a decent internet connection.
But in the end, I'm certainly looking forward to having my own place to work on my art and stuff.
So it's gonna take me a while until I'm up and running again.
In the meanwhile. Enjoy some epic music:
Update november 4th, 2013:
Well... I just got the key recently. So I can begin moving in. There's still a lot of stuff that I need to take care of. Buying machines, furniture, and that kind of stuff. But it's slowly moving forward. I'm expecting to be in my new house in a week or 2, or maybe 3. And I hope to have internet by then.
See you around~!

I want the project to be open to contributions and I welcome your creativity, so please feel free to create your own concepts! Here are some limitations:
• All Witherling designs are "non-profit" not to be sold or traded for money or points.
• The Witherlings project is a creature design project not a character design project, which means that you are designing a model of a type of Witherling not an individual "Original Character" Witherling. Please talk to me if this does not make sense.
• You may not create or distribute "Adoptable" Witherling designs, either for free or payment. That is not the nature of this project.
• If you upload a Witherling design to your DeviantArt gallery (or elsewhere) please link back to my profile: http://coyotemange.deviantart.c

The comments you guys left really helped me believe in myself. Thanks to everyone's encouragement, I know I wasn't in the wrong. I was able to firmly explain my problems with my father. It took many long and heated discussions before we finally came to an understanding but it was definitely worth it. He eventually admitted that he was wrong, and shouldn't have brushed me aside as being "too bothersome" or not worth angering his crazy wife for. He said he regrets the way he treated me, and has promised to try to visit me once a year. It's really hard to put into words how much that means to me, and I truly thank you all for helping me get to this point.
I read in the comments that many have e

Get to know your game development groups
Yup, there are groups that help support game development. One of the very first groups for this was :icongame-art: . It specifically ties into the game development art category because it was founded around the same time it's founder became a CV themselves. A lot of the rules for the group are the same rules for the category on Deviant Art itself. The group's former founder, :iconpyritie: works for a game company as a programmer and was at one point a CV for the category. The current founder, :icondkdevil: , is also a game developer working alongside a programmer to make a game called Gender Bender DNA Twister Extreme which you can read more about here -> http://www.indiedb.com/games/gender-bender-dna-twister-extreme
The group features galleries that our broken down similar to how we have the category setup.
