Chapter 1- Friends?
It was warm night in the Titans Tower. Everyone was doing their own thing, not bothering each other. Wonder Girl was in the monitor room (like always) trying to be the best of being the leader of the team. Robin was in the training room trying to get better than Dick, which we all knew couldn't happen. Ravager was in her room doing her own training, wondering what her father might be up to. Kid Flash was in the training room with Robin watching him, yelling at him for inspiration. Super Boy was up on the roof, looking out at Jump City thinking about how much he misses Smallville. Raven was in her

Leonid Kovar, Red Star, calmly turned around, blinking slightly as he reluctantly turned away from the monitors. Rosabella Mendez, Pantha crossed her arms, trying to hide something evidently. Her tail twitched impatiently, mask hiding the bolstering blush on her face. Without warning, she shoved a poorly wrapped box into Leonid's arm and quickly took off, stating she had to go help Baby Wildebeest with his homework.
Curiosity bloomed in the Russian's expression, staring at the small card on top, which was scrawled rather quickly with a simple, but "elegant" statement from Rosabelle: "You're another year older, dipwad." Another year older? Well, goodness him, it was his birthday, and he had forgotten all about it. Being so consumed with his work of protecting Russia, Leonid had seemingly forgotten any and all engagements that did not regularly concern him such as a random bank robbing in Moscow or Baby's meeting with the Science City Elementary principal because he to

The words swirled around in her head. Each one another kink in her armor. Every cruel thought inflicting pain, their brutal assault punching away her breath. She longed to scream, deny the words that were tearing her apart, but she couldn't. Because no matter how hard she tried, deep down, she believed them.
Raven sat in her room, on the middle of her bed. Her knees were bent, pressed as far as they would go into her chest. Her hands were wrapped around them, making her into a little ball. Her head was down, her forehead pressed against her knees. It were as if she were holding herself together, or trying to protect herself from an attack. But that wouldn't stop the torture. Nothing could.
The words came back in another wave, this time accompanied with darker thoughts. The kind that made her want to curl up and die. She wanted to smash something, she wanted to scream so loud her lungs would explode, she wanted to burst in
Control - Teen TitansI glanced across the room again at Friend Raven and looked away. She was calm, her face holding no happiness; as always. After the Puppet King switched our bodies, I started watching Friend Raven to see how she managed to stay so emotionless all the time I had tried it, and it made me sad, but I was not allowed to be sad either.Control - Teen Titans4 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Wondering did not feel like enough anymore. When we first met, I believed that Friend Raven was different, but that she just needed some joy to bring out her happiness. I realise now that I am wrong. Every time I try to bring out Friend Raven's smile, I am causing her pain; she wants to be happy, to smile when Friend Beast Boy tells a joke, but it would be dangerous. I know that now, but I wish that I did not.
When I had told Friend Raven that even a baby could fly on my planet, I was still thinking that she was stopping herself from being happy because she did not want to be. It was terrifying, to worry about my happiness hurting someone; it must be wor

Big, sparkling drown eyes filled with tears. They belonged to a sad little boy only about the age of six. He had raven black hair, wore a dark oversized coat, corduroy shorts and a blue t-shirt which was currently waded up in his tiny fists. A couple of salty tears hit the grass as he watched all the other kids either play games with each other or stop to give him weird looks. He sniffed once more turning and running around to the back of the school. No one cared. Soon he was forgotten as if no one noticed he was standing there in the first place.
The little boy ran until he reached the back fence. He fell on his knees shaking with quiet sobs. Suddenly there was a bright pink flash coming from the opposite side of a hill that stood just a few yards away from the fencing. His head snapped up to see. Unlike others would have he didn’t feel a

Masky shrugged. "Dunno. He said he was," he said as Ms. P took a seat next to them. "Hey, Pencilneck."
"'evening, guys," she said.
"Did you talk to BEN?" Hoodie asked.
Ms. P nodded. "He said he's going to sing, but he needed time alone real quick," she replied frowning. "I hope he gets over Jeff passing away. I feel so bad for him."
Masky sighed. "Well, he's going to have to face facts. His lover is gone, and he needs to move on." He looked over at Hoodie. "What happened to Jane, anyway?"
"I took her to Lord Zalgo, and he said her punishment was 7 years of torture. He also made Shadow Lurker cast a spell on her that gives her 20 years of bad luck. And when I say bad luck," Hoodie took a deep breath. "I mean really bad luck. I'm talking trees falling on you in an open field bad luck."

Prologue: From the Rugrats episode "Angelica's Birthday", Angelica feared growing up and taking on new responsibilities. So she dressed up, and acted like a baby in order to avoid growing up.
Angelica Pickles, the blonde haired little brat of a girl, stood as high as her tippy toes would allow whilst she hold onto the plastic bar, bordering her in her chosen prison.
“She’ll never get anywhere with those sissy swings.” Angelica stated, watching little Susie swing at the green Reptar piñata. “I’m going out there.” Said the dolled-up girl, in her blue doll dress, padded rear and grassy green bonnet that matched her bow tie. After watching Angelica drop her pacifier and kick up her leg over the walls of the crib, Lil from across the cage called out.
“Wait Angelica!” She said in her high-pitched tone of voice before her brother t

“You’re welcome sweety.” Olivia’s mom said.
Olivia rolled her eyes. Her three year old sister’s family birthday party was taking so long. Did no one care about her schedule? She had a date with the cutest boy in the school tonight, possibly her one and only chance to become popular, and this little party that Maggie would never remember had taken at least an hour. Her dad was fidgeting next to her too. He was missing a football game for this.
“I’m going upstairs to get ready.” She said, getting up off the couch. Her mom caught her arm and pulled her back down.
“Just one more. Five more minutes won’t hurt.”
Maggie moved painstakingly slowly back to the pile of gifts and picked up the last wrapped one. She tore at the wrapping paper and finally unearthed a baby doll.
“Thank you mommy.”

Hannah (the oldest of the three, six years old), Emily (Second oldest, five years old) and Mandy (my youngest sister). I was to babysit them for a full week and a half while my parents left for a giant business trip in Egypt. I have an older sister also, but she lives out of the house, across town with her boyfriend, so I don't see her all that often.
The first few hours were easy. Us four watched TV, played a few simple board games, ate pizza for dinner, and did all sorts of stuff. Their bedtime came before I knew it. Just as typical for girls their age, none of them wanted to go to sleep. I decided to put Mandy to bed first... she was youngest, she would need more sleep, right?

When I got back, I had just dried myself off, leaving me there with my speedo on when the door lurched open, and there stood all four of my cousins, all looking at me with a grin on their face. "What, it's just a speedo?" One of my cousins took out a roll of duct tape, and all four of them jumped at me. What is the probability that both are heads?” How the heck was the answer anything but ½? There must be some trick to it. Albert racked his fingers through his dark brown hair, trying to figure it out. He drank from the glass of water he kept nearby, and continued.
A pair of light footsteps came pattering up. “Daddy” a voice to his left said. Albert tried to concentrate on his work. “Daaadddyyy,” the voice said again.

Mrs. Berbrin sighed, putting on her earrings in the mirror. Friday night in mild weather, she and her husband were going to go out to dinner and a show. Of course, they had to break this news to their son.
"That's right, a babysitter. Nine's way too young to be spending a night alone."
The nine-year-old in question, Kevin Berbrin, held both his arms out, as though asking his mom to look at him, "C'mon! I'm in the fourth grade now! You probably let Geoff stay by himself when he was my age!"
"Actually, we kept him with a babysitter until he was twelve," claimed the boy's mother, sitting on the bed and slipping on her high heeled shoes. "When you're that age, maybe we'll talk."
"Twelve?!" Kevin's prepubescent voice reached a heightened pitch from the anger of the injustice of it all, "You're gonna give me a sitter 'til I'm twelve?"
"If you keep acting like this whenever we go out, I might do it even longer," she added, quite annoyed by this point. Once her shoes were on,

That didn't just happen. It was physically impossible for Marie to have possibly heard those words coming out of her sister's mouth. Erika Swanson did not do things like that, and certainly not to her. The teenager sat there silently on the carpet, tears sliding down her cheek and landing on her chest as she let that speech sink in, cutting her to the core.
None of it made any sense, she reasoned, a sob slipping out from between her lips when she wasn't looking. It was all spite-filled lies from some jealous, petty little baby who hated everyone else because they were happier then... she....
Stunned, numb down to her very center, Marie stared intently at the door to her sister's room. "I... A-Am I really..."
The teenager gave a loud sniffle. Maybe she shouldn't pursue Erika further... Maybe she needed to stop blaming everyone else for her problems and think things over...
