After 3 months of the summer animating from time to time gradually, I finally finished this short animation test for the characters from DC Comics' Justice League for personal practice. I set for myself a time limit of approximately 5 seconds to show all the powers of each character, including: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Hawk Girl, and Martian Manhunter.
The images of the characters are a little bit different from the character designs because I simplified them a little bit for the sake of animating them easier. This time I got for myself a lot of useful and interesting experience from animating these, more than the last time with The Avengers (watch here www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnTNer… )
The song in this is the Justice League Animated Series Theme Song.
These are done with Photoshop CS and Adobe After Effects. All characters belong to DC Comics, and this animation was done only for educational purpose, no commercial use.
Well, seeing as how I just caught the cold recently, I won't be able to work on any new soundclips for awhile. In the meantime I've decided that NOW would be a good time to release a very special soundclip that I made sometime last year.
To those who don't know, Mario VS Wario was a 2-Story Special released on the Nintendo Power Magazine, made by the same exact team who made the comic series, "Super Mario Adventures", also for Nintendo Power. As the Special's name implies, it follows the story of Mario's earliest struggles with his greedy, larger than life doppelganger, Wario.
The 2nd Volume was released in 1994, just a year after the 1st Volume, and 2 years after the release of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. Unlike the 1st Volume, the 2nd Volume is not an adaption of any of the games, but rather an original story all in itself, where Mario and Wario struggle with one another to win the affections of Princess Peach at her own Birthday Party (yes folks, Peach is in this comic too. STRANGE, ISN'T IT?! 8D).
. . . . . oh and Luigi's in it too, incase anyone wanted to know.
Funny thing is, the comic itself is SCARCE AS HELL, as it was only released on the Nintendo Power Magazine (unlike the first volume, which was included in the Paperback Edition of Super Mario Adventures, the only release outside of Nintendo Power). Luckily, I was able to find a version which wasn't in PDF Format (like the one on YoshiArt), so now I can release this soundclip, and you all can enjoy the merry mischief of gaming's favorite rivals.
Another animation of one of the Avengers, Iron Man.
My first take on something more complicated. Really like Iron Man in the movie, the Mark 7 jetpack thing at the end was really awesome. I have no idea how close I actually got it but I tried to get the general idea. So here he is suiting up, hovering, then firing a shot before finally letting go of his armor.
If you guys like this Iron man i'll do more variations of him XD
A Flash project that will tell you which Spyro the Dragon you should fight based on the date you enter. Based off a zodiac algorithm you can also click on the orbs to see the bosses. If you click on the Super Power Crystal it will give you the Instructions.
Roll over a character to see their description and some bad jokes.
Also there are 3 hidden characters which give you challenges; these can only be found by entering a specific day, month, and year. Here's a hint though to make at least one of them easier to find, Hunter's Birthday.
*P.S. If you find any glitches, possible coding errors, typos, etc please let me know and I'll do my best to fix them and re-upload the project*
UPDATE 7/3/2012 -- Now with looping sound! Also added two new hidden vectors for a total of 5, but with only one new date to find out. As before here's the hint, Hunter's Birthday. --
So just saw the new spiderman movie. Really liked it. Thought Andrew Garfield was a much better spiderman and Emma Stone was better than Kristen Dunst. Effect wise the camera angles were really cool and fight scenes were awesome. Loved how it stuck slightly closer to the comic making him have webshooters instead of natural webbing too.
However, storywise though I thought the Sam Rami's spiderman was slightly better. I liked Aunt May much better in the original Spiderman and Uncle Ben's death seemed to have more of an impact too. Also J Jonah Jameson was perfect in Rami's Spiderman, and although I still wished he had a part i the new spiderman, I doubt anyone can replace J. K. Simmons. Villain wise I thought the lizard was meh. Although the Green Goblin looked and was much cheesier than Lizard, overall William Defoe played a much scarier and memorable villain.
I'm probably still spoiled by Avengers and went in with too high of an expectation, but the new Spiderman was still a really cool movie. If you haven't seen the new Spiderman, I still recommend you check it out. Its a fun movie with a few laughs, and it had some great 3D effects mixed with swinging around the city.
So final thoughts...Personally I feel that the new spiderman and the original spiderman are roughly about the same, I still can't decide which I like better, but I feel that both movies did Spiderman justice. Spiderman 2 still ranks as my favorite Spiderman movie, and lets just pretend Spiderman 3 never existed.
Still really hope spiderman will appear in Avengers 2 lol
Anyways have you seen the new Spiderman? What are you thoughts on it, and how did you think it compared to Sam Rami's Spiderman?
This took me quite a while to do, but I'm finally somewhat happy with the finished result
The file is quite large so it might lag on some computers, I'm still playing around with the lego style and seeing what I can come up with. This scene was really epic in the movie and I always wanted to try do some variation on it.

Found an excuse to add in some music. I really liked the music they had in the movie, really epic. Anyways hope I don't get in trouble for adding the music, I don't claim any rights. The clip is Deshi Basara - Hans Zimmer from the Dark Knight Rises
