this was kind of a last minute thought the other day...
the chicken? what's wrong with a vegetarian hugging a chicken? a sad crying chicken... it's so appropriate
in finding out about the deadline on my friend's contest, I sigh... I cant really make it unless I make this the entry --> [link] If I had known the due date I may not have told her I'd partake, it's so short and I thought "oh, I got time... they always last like a couple of months or more..." >///< that's what I get for not paying attention. Or I could blame Slade for keeping me busy... that sounds like a great idea! BLAME SLADE!!!
Speeeaking of things that I love who reached that reached their 10 year anniversary this year...
I love Teen Titans so much. I own the series, I've watched it through a billion times... It's just amazing. I would like to type some big essay about my love but why bother, I'll let the art stand as tribute. Not sure how it turned out really but either way~
(Teen Titans Go, I'm glad you're here but I wish you were season 6 instead)
I just realized, I never shared this one. This was done back in 2011, and its completion was long and torturous, since I had trouble moving my arm back then. I had much fun with it, and learned much as well. But as great as it was to conquer the pain, I felt like you could *tell* there was something un-Neme on this one. I kept it in storage for a while, and when I chanced upon it again, it felt odd to post it (since the venture of Dick and Damian as the dynamic duo was long over). But now. Now I want some Damian on my DA, and this is one of the few pieces I completed (even if, being a background element in this one, he's not that detailed).
Oh, how I miss Timmy as Robin. Those were the days...good times, good times.
Finally finished coloring this piece. I know I started it ages ago, but life's been a little on the hectic side what with work, and cons, and family going into the hospital.
Luckily, things seem to be starting to even out...knock on wood...so, I had a little free time to get some work in.
This is a sketch of mine I did a while back to have signed by the great and mighty Jim Lee during a local comic convention. At some point, I figured I should color it and decided to use it as a tool of practice for honing my digital work. I gotta say, I'm fairly pleased. ^^
Even if it did take a painfully long time to actually finish. xDD
The sketch is loosely based off of Tim Drake's look from "Batman: Hush". One of my favorite arcs from the Batman series...plus, it was to be signed by the man himself, so I had to draw something from one of Jim Lee's many fantastic works.
Tim, who's already my favorite Robin, just seemed like the perfect subject.
Please let me know what you think. I always appreciate comments and critiques, especially still being fairly new to digital coloring in any style, let alone comic book. ^^
