Halloween is near, so I decided to get into the spirit by decorating my family's house for the occasion. Over the the past week I've been hard at work on the main part of the decor: a series of jack o'lanterns that would line the walkway up to the front door, welcoming trick-or-treaters. Since said walkway is long enough to comfortably fit 9 pumpkins, I decided to turn it into a piece of fan art and model the pumpkins after the Mildy Disturbing Halloween Masks from Team Fortress 2.
Carving these pumpkins was a basic but labor-heavy process. After printing out copies of each mask and transfering them to the surface of each pumpkin, I carved out the designs with two sets of Pumpkin Masters carving tools, scoring the surface and carving out chunks as I saw fit. After that I soaked each pumpkin in a solution of water and bleach in order to preserve them.
If you noticed that most of the faces were seemingly upside-down on the pumpkins, it's because I think the pumpkins are so small it'll be easer for viewers to see the faces if they're lying down and looking up.
ALL HAIL DOOM! Whether it's a death ray, army of giant robots, or just a good old fashioned invasion, the Fantastic Four's signature villain Doctor Doom is probably behind it. Here I've created a custom Marvel Legends Doctor Doom using the DC Universe Doctor Mid-Nite base body, LCBH Wraarrl feet, Wringwraith hands, and lower arms/legs from a DCU Iron. Doom's head is a CamcoKid specialty headcast and a tailored Marvel Select Doom cape. Apoxie sculpt was used to create the armor circles for his joints and lower leg flanges. This time Doom will not fail!
Made for a friend for his birthday. Teddy happens to be his favorite character from the Young Adventures so this happened (conveniently enough, same week Joann's had a bear pattern on sale for 2 bucks).
Basically sewn like anything else, though not the best sew job I've done, first time I'd made a teddy bear and everything so going to say did a pretty good job (the fabric was funny, you couldn't touch that stuff without green fluffs attacking you).
A 'Property of Wiccan' patch was thrown on his butt for the fun of it~
