Traditionally there are five senses: touch, taste, smell, sound, and sight. Some claim there is a "sixth sense". There is no definitive proof of the sixth sense, but I, personally, believe that it exists. Some claim it is an otherworldly sense where you a

Literary Justification: All Writers Are GroovyLiterary Justification: All Writers Are Groovy1 year ago in Literature Features More Like This
Now there's a big reason why every writer is a writer and why they consider themselves a writer. The magic of what you're doing is that to say that you're a writer, you don't have to be published or have it as a financially stable job. It's something that whether you write manuals or fiction, it takes a creative thought process and the ability to always argue against unknown questions. Writing is a whole new world where you can inject yourself into so many new thoughts and feelings while applying what you learn in the details between the lines to the real life obligations outside of what you do.
Then again, you can also be extremely successful at writing. The great thing about success is that it isn't always define about how much money you make. What makes success such a lenient word is that it means to be happy. If you're happy with clothing on your back, the world will keep s

I believe a good question would be why do we discriminate?
A simple answer is because we're taught to fear what strays out of social norms, reject the difference, and try to be as normal as possible in order to be accepted in society.
That's a lame answer isn't it? Sadly, most of it is very, very true.
However, here's one thing that we should realize, times changed, we're a new rising generation, unlike our fathers and mothers, and difference is everywhere.
Voices against Discrimination is a blog series aiming to shed light on different part of our society, a window into things and people we usually fear, in hopes that we can make a difference. We chose the first issue to be about the LGBT foundation because it's a big part of our society, and as most of you know, August was pride

Sarah, also known as Beat Black, is the maker of I Heart Brains BFF Necklaces, and she has been making them since 2010.
Recently, Sarah discovered that Hot Topic has been selling something eerily similar to her design, as seen here:
If ANYTHING is going to be done about it, we need to make a big stink! I mean HUGE. This needs to go VIRAL, people. Because it just isn't fair, and independent artists are always getting ripped off. Hot Topic is an unbelievably huge company - can they not afford designers that can come up with their OWN ideas?!
It may not be big shots at the top of Hot Topic themselves that are stealing - it's the folks in which they import their stuff from. But by selling it, they are SUPPORTIN

I've had quite a rough go of things lately and am trying to find a way to afford $35 a month to get my degree in paralegal studies and become an online legal consultant/researcher. Such a small amount being beyond me has been exceptionally depressing; along with now having a heart condition that needs tests; as well as new throat/abdominal issues and a mass at the bottom of my sternum. It's beginning to feel like I'll never achieve anything. Not to mention my husbands birthday is at the end of this month and with only 67 cents to my name, doesn't make me feel much better.
Art is my ONLY form of income. In two months I'm being matched with a psychologist which while very much needed, will be another expense added to the heart specialists and new tests through the local hospital to try to figure out some new chaos in my abdomen and throat which only further complicate my spinal issues, Fibro and laundry list of other things.
Yo neckbeardsBefore you spout off that science fiction is a "man's" genre, as someone literally just did to me an hour ago, you might want to educate yourself on the genre's actual history.Yo neckbeards2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein and The Last Man all the way back in the 1800's, effectively inventing our modern concept of "mad science" and the "post apocalypse" subgenre, respectively. It was her success that sparked an explosion of fantastical literature with scientific and technological themes, later dubbed "science fiction."
Later, Charlotte Perkins Gilman's wildly successful "The Yellow Wallpaper," hailed as a groundbreaking work of feminism, sparked its own wave of "weird horror" and is cited by H.P. Lovecraft as one of his biggest inspirations, his very writing style practically lifted from Gilman's.
The trends kicked off by Mary Shelley and her imitators eventually grew directly into the pulp science fiction boom of the 1930's, and a great deal of those authors were also women. Nobody kn

If you care about ART...Hey all! I'd like to adress something very important for everyone who cares about art and the internet. A lot of help is needed. What's the issue?
The .art top level domain will soon be made available. A corporation will be assigned to manage it. That means that, besides .com, .org, .nl, .tv etc. people will also be able to make websites as www.websitename.art. This would mean a great opportunity for artists and art supporters alike to create art portfolios, websites that help artists in some way, etc.
This can bring great improvements to the art world, if managed well.
That is where the potential trouble starts About a dozen companies have applied to manage .art. However, most of them are large companies hoping to make big profit. Most of these companies have nothing to do with

EDIT2: I will be making the video today, hopefully posting it by some time next week. You can still ask questions, even if you've asked some already. I will mention in the journal when I do not take anymore.</EDIT>
EDIT: Guys, if you're going to ask about AYA please don'T ask about parts in the episode!!! Those are spoilers, and it disrespects my wishes to not speak to me about it until it airs in the states. If you would like to ask about that, don't ask about the episode's contents. Ask about the experience.</EDIT>
I want to make a video where I answer your questions. they can be personal or non (though if TOO personal I will ignore it, hehe XD) About art, animation, about my hobbies, about flaws, about tips for stuff, about... anything, really. You don't have to ask about art either. Music is fun!
I was going to make the video today but I won't have any time due to work. But you can ask me questions in this journal. Y

Trabajando para Disney13 Abril de 2010Trabajando para Disney6 years ago in Personal More Like This

Luxus and Luxrender Beginner's Guide - DAZ StudioLuxus and Luxrender Beginner's Guide - DAZ Studio3 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Reality 2 might be the king of LuxRender plugins for DAZ Studio, and with Reality 3 on the horizon, that is not likely to change, but for those of us looking for something a little more flexible in the way it interfaces with LuxRender, the recently released Luxus is very a very attractive option. A number of LuxRender's features are not supported by Reality, but Luxus opens the options all the way out, and even has fields for entering newly released code to incorporate the latest LuxRender features.
The problem here is that configuring LuxRender's render engine and materials are complex tasks, and can be daunting to DS users that are used to the relative safety of the neat and simple interfac
The Winner of the Draw My Melian OC Contest! My dear DA friends! I do not have adequate words to express my gratitude and astonishment at the level of response to Melian and my Draw My Melian OC Contest! When I first thought of the contest, I was concerned that very few people would be interested in drawing Melian. I did know that the contest was very self serving. I just really wanted to see how other artists would imagine her and interpret her. The response was way beyond anything I expected. The level of enthusiasm, attention to detail and the hard work and loving care that the participants put into it was unbelievable to me! Melian is so very special and personal to me!
