I decided to try the contest, too...with SHAZAM!!!

Captain Marvel first appeared in "WHIZ COMICS" #2 (1940) published by Fawcett, but due to some legal stuff, his publication stopped in 1953. Later on in 1972, he found a welcome home at DC Comics becoming one of the most popular characters in the DC universe. I drew the "NEW 52" version where he first made an appearance in a back story in "Justice League #7". No longer 'Captain Marvel', he is now only known as "SHAZAM"!

Justice League redesigns, part 2 of 12.

In reinventing the Justice League and basing them out of New York City, Oliver Queen fits right in with being placed in a lush flat on the Upper East Side. Queen Industries would be a cutting-edge company that develops numerous technologies and maintains a partnership with Wayne Enterprises and Atlantis Industries. Of course, his constant rival is LexCorp. Oliver's nightly activities see him hopping from rooftop-to-rooftop bringing down the bad guys but he also spends quite a bit of time trying to win the heart of his teammate Black Canary. Oliver's closest allies on the League would be Batman, Green Lantern and Aquaman.

Design-wise I don't think I'm really doing anything new but reworking a lot of the more modern designs Green Arrow has had. I liked taking overall inspiration from the traditional look and then updating it. I wanted the lines on the costume to form points as if to mimic arrowheads and wanted to feature some kind of hood. Naturally, since this is a younger Ollie I had to do away with the lame Robin Hood facial hair and also opted for a more modern mask that features Queen Industries tech that enables him various 'visions' while he's crimefighting.

Enjoy!

Hey everyone. This is my entry for the scribblenauts contest!

Prerequisites of the contest were to draw any DC characters we like in the "scribblenaut style". Also the artwork had to be 2000x550. I admit that this troubled me as i had to abort several ideas due to the fact that they wouldnt look good on the required proportions. However , after working on this piece i feel much more confident on the matter.

So , why Batman and Mr. Freeze.... Even though i was sure that 9 out of 10 entries will feature the legendary Batman , i still couldnt stay away from Gotham City. After all , he is my favourite comic book hero. I choose to draw a duel between him and Mr Freeze , my favourite antagonist in the DC Universe. And ofcourse , i couldnt draw Victor without featuring Nora aswell...

Batman is a superhero co-created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger and published by DC Comics. The character made his first appearance in Detective Comics #27 (May, 1939). Dr. Victor Fries a.k.a Mr. Freeze is a fictional character, a supervillain who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by David Wood and Sheldon Moldoff, he first appeared in Batman #121 (February 1959). In his early career, he used the name Mister Zero. His wife , Nora Fries was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, first appearing as part of the DCAU in Batman episode Heart of Ice. (1992) Her first appearance in the DC Universe was Paul Dini's Batman: Mr. Freeze. (1997)

Thats it for now , C&c are always welcome! Cheers!
