This is a BIG window, as far as windows like this go approx. 2.5x3 feet.
Ugh. Let me tell you a story kids, sit in front of the fire and let your Uncle Rick tell you how he decided to make this horrible abomination of a monstrosity.
I was going to lead this thing, so I go though the usual procedure and I cut out all the pieces, and I start trying to fit the glass into the lead. It ain't going, brother. I just won't fit. I fall into a deep depression, a black mist descends. I consider ending it all. I can't even look at colored glass. Days!, months!, years! They all go by as I whither away into my malaise. The mere sight of a stained glass window renders me mute and paralyzed.
Then I realized that I had cut the pieces to size for foil, not lead, because Jesus hates me. And I finished everything and it came out ok. Bonus fact, I had to make the lead lines so big because Of that (See, the actual size template pattern was for lead, but I had cut pieces for foil, hence more space between pieces and wider lead lines) that it ended up giving such a large window a lot more reinforcement then otherwise.
Measures 35"x30" and comes in at 134 pieces and 6.9 square feet
While I was really hoping Azrael would appear to fight Bane in the Dark Knight Rises film it never happened...but that doesn't mean he can't have a figure! Here's a movie-style custom of Azrael in a design I figured might play into the ninja-ish League of Shadows theme. He was made from a Marvel legends Hand Ninja, DC Universe Azrael spine cowl, some cape, and lower hands from a RediKai figure. His flaming blades can be removed and replaced with taser whips or the Spear of Destiny passed down through the Order of Saint Dumas.
Not quite satisfied with the white suited Young Justice Superboy I wanted the version of him with his black shirt and cargo pants. Using the body of the regular Superboy I grafted the lower boots of an Avatar Movie Masters figure and resculpted the pants and belt. The face needed some sanding and repainting to give Superboy his usual stoic look. Throw in some items he can, uh, throw and Connor is ready to do some damage as part of the Young Justice team!
After quite a few emails requesting a Young Justice: Invasion Superboy that was a bit more grown up I figured I'd take a crack at it. The body is a medium build 6" buck, head from the YJ Superboy, lower legs from Sportsmaster, and sculpted belt, pouches, and knees. The 'S' is a decal printed out on Testors white backed inkjet decal paper sprayed with their decal sealer which makes the flexible plastic part.
