The Red CrownThe Red Crown6 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
I remember a ruby crown,
By mischief set alight,
Perilously burning down
On your tresses of night.
A leap, a splash, and wounded pride;
Such memories I had.
I know that you were beautiful;
I knew all girls were mad.
What I lost, at last regained,
But only these of worth:
Your smile when you said my name,
And the land that gave me birth.
Cruel truth remaining to be faced,
Demons to be fought,
But a moment with you: there is peace,
And pain can be forgot.
I did naught to deserve this life,
And the debt must be paid;
The land in flames of war and strife;
Her pain must be allayed.
My pride, my safety, and my throne;
These I could deplore,
But how could I leave thee alone
Loved I not honour more.
When I've fought for love of country
And died for love of friends,
Maybe I'll then be worthy
With you to make amends.
As the lightning fades I'm praying
To be again with thee,
And we are children playing
Under an apple tree.

The time had come for all things to change,
All your childhood memories erased,
Everything you thought you knew replaced
With things neighborly and all strange.
Whatever you love: the rock 'n' roll,
The silver screen magic, song and dance,
The puppet theater, has been choked,
As the voice of the frog had croaked.
The filtered air is no longer sweet.
The dead man's count is off the charts,
Of shattered dreams and broken hearts.
What is wholesome is merely deceit.
The end was brought by a small red imp,
Who tickled fancies and hypnotized
His charm was all but mirrors and smoke,
When the voice of the frog had croaked.
The cookie crumbs are nothing but lies!
Don't let children play on the junk heap;
Without self-esteem they'll be dirt cheap,
Like monsters damned to philosophize,
Ever changing "in" to "out" and back,
And justice is near, justice is far.
The monstrous moa flew unprovoked,
Since the voice of th

Smoothest ebony in my hand
Tell my dreams, create my myths
A graphite diamond in my grip
Hexagonal beauty tall and fine
Carve my vision from just one line
Blankest page of purest white
Stands no chance against your might
When my mind is clouded and blue
The only thing I need is you
You soothe my pain and heal my wounds
Fascinated my hand moves
Deepest trance and sweetest bliss
As I watch the sharp'ner twist
And once again you are renewed
Till I need you again to lift my mood

I will come for you, my lamb.
For our unkind fate to be fed,
The basket you hold is my jamb.
I will steal you as you smile, my pet.
To calm my growls you had once set.
Oh wanderer of the dim lit wood,
How you carry the weight of this sagging forest,
And my false pretense voice under that hood.
Let me sink my jaws again into you're quest.
Ride once more when I howl! Satisfy this thirst.
Let me see you grin....in fear, like you should have at first!
But you tore me, crooked soul of that lumber jack;
Away to the other side of damned life and luck.
My silent body you filled of stone; drowned back
To soil who raised the flowers I had asked you to pluck.
My love, beware!
I will always be by your side to scare.

Follow her in fear.
Will she lead to violence?
I feel the truth is near.
Take her snow white hand.
Breathe the ice cold air.
Hear the eerie band
in the villains lair.
Ghost Girl never spoke
but you followed anyway.
Her beauty makes you choke.
She makes you want to stay
Touch her long dark hair
Kiss her blood red lips
Caught in her black stare
as your heart rips.
Now you're just like Ghost Girl
cold, white, dead
In your hair her fingers curl
I love you my dear is all she said

You're short; they're tall
And they're waiting for you to collapse
The dangerous popularity relapse.
No matter what, don't give in to them,
Funny they can call themselves women and men,
At least you own your soul
And out of this mess you'll still be whole.
But if you let the image in the mirror get you
And beat you, throw you
Screaming until you're hoarse,
You'll find yourself in a tragic recourse.
And you'll be a walking shadow person,
Creeping along their walls at night,
But they'll never care cause they've got
Their reputation as a night-light.
You'll prowl through the halls,
No end in sight,
You've got to have a sun
To see the end of night.
If you deny your pain
They'll make it their sadistic gain
Feeding off your weary brain
Like a masochistic leech.
They cry tears of blood
Running down the inside of their heads
Just waiting for another ambitious predator
To push them back into the mud.
Their Aeropostale sweatshirts cover their wrists

Moving through day and day so numb,
Nothing to do, nothing to be said,
All was boring, ugly, and dumb;
I well-behaved as I were dead.
But something I did not forget:
When fire was bright, an apple red,
Water so surprising wet,
And I was crazy, so you said.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder,
But I was then a heart without,
Coldly walking in my slumber,
Searching for something to care about.
But to lose is less than to regain,
A wish finds more than it wished to,
And when you had come back again
Then I knew how I missed you.
Loving more than me, you could not stay,
Why, I could not understand,
And watch you throw our love away
For something called Our Land.
I saved your life and lost you
So you could lose it as you choose,
I may be a fool; at least it's true
That love, not fear, me rules.
If daylight comes and we meet again,
I will never let you go.
You, healed by healing the land's pain;
You healed me long ago.
My lord's scarred heart is great enow
To love all things and me,

At top speed and with incredible momentum.
But first, you have to push.
Why I never shut up.Knowledge speaks but wisdom listens and ignorance is bliss.Why I never shut up.3 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
It is this combination of quotes that explain my life.
Why I never shut up, I know too much, I don't even know how or why,
Sometimes I ramble on about something I've only just started to form.
I'm only just about to start grasping the concept, yet all I say is true,
I don't know how my mind works, but I know it can vex you.
I never shut up, because I just know so much,
I always have to be right, purely because I am right.
I have and had some weird hobbies, learning things people don't,
I have to say it's quite fun, knowing what others don't.
But you see, ignorance is bliss, and as I know more and more, I become more cynical.
I used to be a Christian, you know, devoutly religious.
Inside every cynical person, there is, however broken and damned, an idealist.
I was an idealist of religion, then I managed to work out the universe itself,
And you know what came with that knowledge? Heart breaking reality.

The girl was graced with angelic beauty,
A halo of gold silk and wide blue eyes.
But it made her snide, it made her snooty;
Life was a contest and she was the prize.
Young travelers came from across the land,
Offering gifts of most divine nature.
She truly had them under her command,
Yet she still was as cold as a glacier.
One spring day, a man appeared at her door.
He was tired, he was visibly weak.
To that girl, the weary man was a bore,
And moved on to a man with fine physique.
He refused to relent, and the next day,
He gave her a package, tied up with string.
She laughed in his face, for that was her way,
Saying "I care not for the things you bring."
The man saw what others refused to see;
Ugliness was found deep within her heart.
So a curse was placed, under the oak tree,
An old spell that made her beauty depart.
And then her body matched her horrid soul,
A vision that made men run to the hills.
But she did not hide; she went for a stroll;
The terrified faces gave her some th

there's always life here to drink from,

Picking each other up when we fall,
you know that's the way it's always been with us,
there are no closed doors,
no untended sores,
endless access to a life giving source.
The fountain is full and in times of old it was in need of replenishing,
now no need for a via,
we are the supply unending,
abundance without a need never needs tending.
In your darkest times both then and now,
you were never alone,
you thought of the next guy somehow,
if he asked sincerely,
you would have stood by purely,
just as I would do surely.
