The Observer pointed to his upper left, at a picture. Kevin looked up, horrified. It was Milo’s grave. The date which had his death was decreasing, coming closer and closer to the current year.

“He is ignoring his duties, defying his master, and resisting his orders!”

The two were floating in midair, the dark, scarlet sky beaming down on them. Kevin was trying to keep himself calm, and failing. The Observer’s smile was unceasing.
“Heh heh heh, you want to know why you’re here?”
“YES!” Kevin closed his eyes, wishing that he was still in his bedroom, away from all this insanity about time moving weirdly and his being ‘chosen’ for something he didn’t want.
“HA HA HA! Okay! You are in the year 834,890,621 A.D. Humankind has polluted the Earth, and is one of the only ten remaining species of this planet!”
“N-no . . .” Kevin couldn’t believe it. He didn’t like any of this. Decaying fish floated on the dark, multi-colored ocean, the cloud’s were jet black with grey splotches. The land looked like a dump with scraps of various textures here and there.
