This is the finished result of the cute little cowgirl who's kissing a beautiful and sweet horse. I guess it's an American Quarter Horse since it's the most popular breed in the United States today. But I'm not sure. I also finished and uploaded it on my birthday so it's like a birthday present in a way. ^^
Here I'm working on a christmas present for my sister Sophie. Like me, she loves horses and we both love the movie "War Horse" so I wanted to draw this picture for her. This is the sketch of Albert and his horse Joey which are the main characters from the movie. Horses is actually one of first things that I drew when I started with realism, but after that I've been working on a lot of portraits so it feels good to go back to horses and since I've gotten more developed in realistic drawing, hopefully I draw even better horses now.
Hope you enjoy this sketch and keep your eyes open for the finished result!
Time: around 5hours sketching Tools: Ruler, 2H graphite, eraser and kneaded eraser Paper: 250g/m2 Canson Bristol
I was still in my western mood when I drew this. It took me forever; the detail was NUTS (do you see that breastcollar? Do you see it??). But, as always, I'm glad I stuck with it because the end result just floors me every time I look at it. 14x17, drawn with HB-8B pencils. Ref: [link]
5Here's the finished result of "Emerald and Sapphire" which is going to be my mothers Christmas-present and I must say, I'm really surprised and proud with the result. I think I got the colors perfect in their eyes and I managed to get a blurry background. Yeah, I think my mother is going to be very happy to get this drawing.
Here's the finished result on another birthday present and this one is for my mom. As you can see it's of Johnny Depp and I know that my mom loves him so I wanted to give her a drawing of him for her birthday(which is not until February).
