"Oh Mista-Jay...."

Who doesn't love this crazy, fun, strangely loving, character? Harley Quinn has been on my list for a long time and I couldn't wait to bodypaint her using a design that is 100% from the fabulous mind of :iconicephoenix-83: who did another amazing job with the paint job once more. She truly is a fabulous artist and be sure to go on over and watch her page :)

We went with the idea of Harley after Joker had messed with her for quite a long time. In the cartoon series where she was introduced I can clearly recall him pushing her out of the building on one occassion and yet she is still shown to be in love with him and in the comics after this cartoon's run when she had joined the Sirens. My pig tails aren't neat and the idea of the *tear streaked* mask on ehr face was to tie into her melting relationship with Joker...if relationship is what you call it ;)

We used all wolfe paints for this and loved the result. We tried Mehron for the face paint but it actually made my skin burn for some odd reason. Not use why but we immediately washed it off and went with wolfe which is becoming our favourite for bodypaint designs. It's thick, and goes on with a velvet texture. I highly recommend this brand for your bodypainting needs. Even on my face after it tried it didn't pull or crack as I made the silly faces for the shoot.

Here you go guys!
Poison Ivy has been on my list for a long time but I ever knew it what way I wanted to cosplay her once bodypainting came to be an option. I thought this would be a  cool way to get an interesting result. She's intelligent and so incredibly sexy so I tried to pull that into the photos. I will definitely be cosplaying her more in tne future now that I have this once. We chose to choose in the garden instead of the in the studo for the majority of the time because it gave a nicer atmosphere and a simple black back drop.

This is the first time I have ever bodypainted with my bestie and amazing artist :iconicephoenix-83: and I am telling you it will not be the last. This was the first time she had ever done it and my god I loved the results. She came up with design, taking inspiration from Uma Thurman's poison ivy as well as the 90's cartoon and arkham asylum. We used mehron for the base coat mixing our own shade of green and then used wolfe cakes for the detailed brush work.
She was also my photographer along with my boyfriend :iconcloudbreak-cosplay: who was more than happy to snap a few shots as well. The edits were done by yours truly.
