So I have been thinking of doing a few articles apart from feature articles to link some useful resources for artists and this is the first one of these. While this is a mini one, it's helped me a lot on several occassions.
Sometimes it gets confusing to decide which colours to choose. "'Should I go with a turquoise and a gold for the face? What about the room? I was going for a chic cool modern palette which is minimalistic!" Surely, a lot of us have gone through those decisive moments. Below are some colour scheme tools that would help you with your colour scheme choices. Click the titles or the links in asterisk to go to the following sites.

Hot Topic selling artist's works without permission
A Tumblr post has been circulating, where Hot Topic is selling artist's works as T-shirts in their store, including popular fan art without the artist's permission, deviant artists included. It caught on wildfire when one user linked to deviantART's Submission Policy, stating users gave permission to dA by agreeing to their Terms of Service thereby allowing dA to sell it to third party royalty free.
This is false and inaccurate!
"We appreciate the rallying of the community around the rights of this artist. Rights and ownership of artwork are an important cause which

General Art and Digital Art forum are always inundated with threads (here l here) about how to price ones' commissions every few days. Rather than creating such a thread everytime, use this 'official' thread for asking questions, providing answers to anyone who might have individual questions, or finding out information provided here about how to go on about pricing your commissions.

Creating a concept about a civilization, a person or even a fantasy environment requires some solid background knowledge and learning about past civilizations' art helps in that regards. deviantPOINTS: An updateOver the past few months we’ve been keeping a watchful eye on the way that members in our community have been offering points as payment for certain types of services within deviantART. We’ve seen all sorts of creative uses, from offering to critique your work for a few points, journal features for a few more points and my personal fav -- avatars, journal skins and any other sort of art commission for points. It’s been great to see deviants use their experience and skills to fund their super group upgrades, prints purchases and even treating their friends and families to their very first item of deviantWEAR.deviantPOINTS: An update4 years ago in Personal More Like This
As time rolled on, we noticed a new trend creeping in. People were not just offering a small number of points for a task that they’d normally do as part of their daily deviating -- people were offering thousands of page views for hundreds of points, and there seemed to be no limit to the amount that could be purchased, or offered. It didn

Improving your Art
The dA news platform is a great way to adress the community and teach them things about a wide range of topics, and of course to find information that you didn't even know you were looking for! Over time I've collected many great articles. This series will bring them together per topic so it's easy to find what you're looking for! Besides helping people find information they need, the aim of this series is also to promote quality on the news platform.
For this issue, I chose articles about Improving your Art. There may be more issues on this topic in the future
Articles may overlap on some areas, and may contain outdated info though I've tried to avoid this.

UPDATE: ONE WEEK EXTENSION FOR THIS CONTEST. Entries will now be due on November 7th 2013 11:59PM PST

I copy-pasted the titles you guys suggested, and listened to the full soundtracks for every title. That's why it took me really really long to browse through all the suggestions. I'm still not done actually! I'm only half-way through, so a second journal will follow in the future haha!
Here's the list~ I've written my comment in parenthesis after listening to the full soundtracks. I've made bold the soundtracks that I loved and will listen to again. With normal letters are the suggestions that I wouldn't really listen to a second time.
