2D Animation QnA by Liron Pe'er (aka LPDisney)English in NOT my native language and so I do apologize for any mistakes I might have writing this article. Everything that is written here is based on my personal knowledge and experience. By the time I wrote this article I did not work for any large company and therefore do not know how the industry works. I came to these tricks/tips/working systems by myself and with my own experience. Therefore there is a chance that there are better ways to do the things I explain here. Please take that under your consideration.2D Animation QnA by Liron Pe'er (aka LPDisney)6 years ago in Art Features More Like This

Another month, another challenge!
We totally didn't do a poll this month. Oops. November creeped up all stealthy-like, so I'm gonna find you a theme by looking backwards for a moment.
Not quite so painfully as that.
Looking over our past polls, the closest runner up for the theme was unicorns. So we're gonna craft unicorns this month!
Here's everything you need to know to enter this contest:

How to: Margin + PaddingFor this tutorial series I am explaining different elements you can create or modify with the help of CSS. The level of experience that is needed to be able to understand the tutorials can differ and will be in no order. How to: Margin + Padding2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
However I will try to explain the things as simple as possible. Upcoming questions should be left in a comment directly to this blog so that people with similar problems can look them up later as well.
The tutorial series is based on the gruze-structure of journals. If you are still using the old structure or have a journal installed that used it, things won’t work the same way like explained below.
For simple skins the old structure is fine, but the more features you add, the more I would recommend using the gruze-structure. You can look up the differences here: http://ginkgografix.deviantart.com/art/Old-vs-Gruze-Journals-112772369
It seems like a lot of people are struggling with the usage of margin and padding. In the end it doesn’t matter ho

And I'm back for the feature... oh my, I wasn't here for almost 2 weeks Sorry cuz of that, but I have to make ton of stuff for college, so I probably won't be here that much in next upcoming weeks. So I hope you can also wait for my new stuff which I draw (a little slowly...I paused process cuz of school ).
But I also have great news for you. One of my newest drawings which I still draw, I record. So soon you'll be able to see on our YouTube account whole process how I draw my paintings. From sketch till finished piece. But I guess I'll have to post it in few parts (cuz I already draw it more than 14 hours and I just started ).
And here is the feature. I featured some amazing character and environment pieces by great artists all around dA. If you like these works, then fav them... and you can also fav this article and help these artists, so they can get more attention. Thank you and I hope you enjoy this feature
Mutiple Thefts of deviantART Stock Models: UpdatedCurrent Update, Feb 9: It seems that the artworks created with the DA stock models have been taken down from all sites. This is good news! I hope the artist will be in touch with the models they have used. It seems possible through what I've heard from these models in their research that this artist may have found these images on a 'free stock' site. Please be aware of any site that is set up with a huge variety of fabulous, high quality images for commercial use, for free. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.Mutiple Thefts of deviantART Stock Models: Updated2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
An Italian artist has been using stock images from DA's portrait models as the source of her professional work without notifying the models or crediting them. In most cases, these models do not allow commercial use of their stock without permission.
Here is a list of models discovered to have been used so far.

Artists have always feared that they are unappreciated and that the march of progress comes only from business, science and their machines. 1984 was imagined by an artist projecting these exact fears. Our guest essayist suggests the computer will never be our master, but only the super high speed counting machine it was meant to be leaving humans with only one pure task— being creative.

How to suggest a Daily DeviationHello! How to suggest a Daily Deviation2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
According to one of our polls at Traditionalists, there are many people who don't know how to suggest a Daily Deviation - too many, really. In this article you'll learn all about suggesting DDs: it'll be focused on Traditional Art category, but the general rules are the same for all the categories on dA.
So you've just encountered an outstanding work - or had one for ages in your favourites - and you'd like it so much to be seen by everyone on dA. Before you suggest anything, you need to check if its author had a DD within past 6 months, as one deviant can have only 1 DD per 180 days. How? Add "dds" to their profile address, so:
username.deviantart.com would turn into username.deviantart.com/dds
You may also reach that page by clicking "browse" in deviant's gallery (top left, between "feat

No matter the brave, fierce constructs we build and serve that would have us believe we are each one of us all alone as we make this journey, we make our way toward the end of all things side-by-side in our community of the living each day defying death. Our paths may be wildly divergent—the way of the hungry and impoverished traveling the same timeline with the grotesquely indulgent, the very best of us side-by-side with the most evil of us; but all headed for the same fate: dust. So you want to do commissions?A basic guide to setting up commissionsSo you want to do commissions?4 years ago in Art Features More Like This
When it comes to commissioning, there is so much that needs to be decided, arranged and thought of that it can all appear a bit daunting at first.
However: when following a couple of basic guidelines, setting up commissions really is not as hard as you think!
If you find the article informative, please it.
First things first
So you have decided you want to start doing commissions. That's great!
The first thing to do is to determine what you want to offer.
Do you want to offer drawings, or designs?
Will you be coding journal-skins for people, or will you be pixeling?
Take a look through your gallery and try to determine what you do best and what you like to do the most.
Because that will most likely be what you'll be offering.
Stick to what you're good at.
Don't promise what you can't deliver when someone is paying you for it.
Now that you've mo
