Mamma's gonna kill for you the whole damn world
And if the whole damn world don't die,
Mamma's gonna shoot the rest in the eyes
And if the people still can see,
Mamma's gonna release some deadly bee's
And if those deadly bee's don't sting,
Mamma's gonna make everybody scream
And if those people still don't scream,
Papa is surely gonna steam
And if Papa happens to kill them all,
Mamma and papa won't let you fall
Because you will be our legacy,
And Mamma will be so proud of Baby...
BATMAN: LEGACYThe Bat Cave illuminated as the door slid open and Batman strode toward the car that was parked in the middle of the cavern, and right on his heels was Golden Angel, a girl about five foot six with long black hair that was restrained in a pony tail. She wore a combination of clothing and armor, a red top that left her right shoulder and her midriff bare, a golden raptor symbol across her chest that had the wings of a bat. She wore golden gauntlets on her forearms, and red and gold boots almost to her knees. The bottom piece of this costume was royal blue, low on her hips and left her legs almost completely bare, and it was adorned with white stars. On her brow she wore a golden tiara with a blue star in the center that was flanked by the black wings of a bat. This was a young heroine in training, and this day the lesson seemed to be an elusive one in patience.BATMAN: LEGACY4 years ago in Drama More Like This

The "it" in question was Robin and Kid Flash, and it confused him to no end.
The first time it happened was on their first mission (the unplanned one where they broke into Cadmus and discovered Superboy) and Robin had let his grappling hook fly. Right as he was about to go up, Wally had grabbed onto his utility belt and had whizzed up alongside him. Kaldur had let it go, figuring that it had been a clever, if a bit bold, way of hitching a ride.
But then he remembered another time when Robin and Kid Flash had needed to go to Gotham (Kaldur hadn't wondered why then, but he was certainly curious now.) Rather than take a zeta beam or catch a jet, Wally had simply strapped on his goggles and bent down. Robin, not to be outdone, had hopped on top, piggyback-style, and they had taken off, Robin's black and gold cape flying behind them like a farewell wave.
That had been strange.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've been sitting on this one for a while. I didn't know if I liked it when I first wrote it and then I kind of forgot about it. However, my new poll has reminded me that many of you want to see more in the Linchpin verse, so I dug this out and cleaned it up a bit. It's nothing but pure fluff – which is why I think I'm so iffy about it. There is no Robin Torture at all in it! Seriously!
DISCLAIMER: I've said it many times, but I'll say it again because I don't want to be sued: They're not mine! (Please don't sue me!)

The lights were low in the central control room of the Watchtower and when the doors slid shut behind Wonder Woman she did not stray more than a step or two from them as her eyes found that one lonely figure sitting at the main console. A familiar creeping began in her stomach and she drew a calming breath. She feared almost nothing, but this was a conversation she had hidden from for almost two decades. Finally striding forward, her steps were as confident as she could manage and she was able to control the shaking of her knees very well. It was not a long walk, but it sure seemed to take forever.
Finally reaching the occupied chair, she grasped it with one hand, the console with the other as she looked to the large view screen that was right in front of the man who worked the controls. Silence thickened the air around them and the tension mounted.
"Quiet night?" she finally fo

Commissioner Gordon stood on the roof, his hands in the pockets of his overcoat as he stared up at the bat signal that shined brightly on the clouds above. With him were two uniformed police officers, both of whom watched the signal on the clouds as well. The spotlight that sent it there illuminated much of the roof surrounding it, but behind it and in the distance, all was shrouded in shadows, and everyone present knew that Batman would emerge from those shadows. The sounds of the blowing wind would mask the approach of the Dark Knight and tensions were high as the three awaited him.
A loud, mechanical click sounded from behind them and the spotlight went out, plunging much of the rooftop back into darkness. Only the two lights that flanked the one door that accessed the roof illuminated the roof to any degree. Even as the two policemen spun around, Gordon turned almost casually, looking to the shadowy figure who stood

The light of morning sun fluttered through Mako's loosely drawn blinds, hitting him directly in the eyes, causing him to groan and turn over. He didn't *want* to get up yet. Curling into a ball and throwing his pillow over his head, he mumbled his annoyance into it. It was just one of those days for the Firebender he had come home rather late the night before from his job at the factory, sore as could be. It had been a gruelling day of work and it was still affecting him into the early morning hours he hadn't gotten more than three or four hours asleep from the never ending ache in his back. Though Mako was usually one to work his way through the pain, he just couldn't find it in himself to jump up and go like normal that morning. He was sore and tired, and all he wanted to do was sleep. And besides it was his day off... but even then, he usually got up early. But not today.
Bolin had other ideas, however this was his first day of his new job,

They returned to the mansion in high spirits and Elissa seemed to have forgotten about her failure with Scarecrow. Clinging to her mother's arm as they entered, she laughed and declared, "You have got to be kidding! And she knew nothing about it?"
"I didn't keep many secrets from your grandmother," Diana admitted, "but some things are much better left unsaid."
"That is just totally wicked," the girl said with a laugh.
"Just don't get any ideas," Diana warned. "I'm way ahead of you on that."
"I believe you, Mom. Hey! Maybe we can, like, go and do a Justice League mission or something. It would be all kinds of fun!"
With a little smile, Diana confirmed, "Sure, I'd like that. But not until I get you clearance, understand?"
"And I think your father would like some time with you as well. Do you think you can g

Anxiety surged up again and quickly she felt herself near panic as she looked around her. When she tried to sit up, a strap around her chest stopped her. Trying to raise her hands to remove it revealed that she was cuffed to the bed she lay on. Looking down at herself, she saw that she was only covered with a white sheet and white wool blanket, and over these were leather restraints over her legs and hips and she could feel her ankles cuffed and strapped down beneath the sheet. Her eyes darted about. This looked like the Batcave, and yet it did not. Drawing a deep breath, she tried to calm herself and reason out what had happen, w

Most of the structures on Themyscira were ancient Greek style in construction, as their culture was largely ancient Greek in makeup, and built of marble or limestone for the most part. A training center near the middle of the island was one of the largest. Like most structures, it had a walled open courtyard all the way around it, four entrances into the structure itself, and large marble columns that held up the stone roof. The inside of the perimeter wall was adorned with gardens with a track of clean sand right inside of the gardens that measured over three miles around the building, and inside of these were the training fields for this facility, and they were all in heavy use this day. Four obstacle courses, one on each side of the huge, three level structure, were of varying degrees of difficulty for different kinds of training and were named for Greek Gods.
On the south side of the structure, a group of women had just finished

So much to do. So much to consider.
Darkness had settled hours ago and the house was finally quiet. Though weary from a long day, Diana knew that sleep would be a difficult prize to claim, especially with everything in her mind that vied for her attention. She lay on her back, right in the middle of her spacious bed as she stared at the ceiling with troubled blue eyes. With one hand laying on her belly and the other arm curled around her head, she did her best to relax her body, hoping that her mind would soon follow. Her long black hair was pulled to one side and was flailed out on her pillow and bed. Her spacious bedroom was dimly lit in the warm blue glow offered by the full moon. There were not many furnishings, only the bed, desk across the room under the window and a wardrobe that was made of some dark wood. Two other pieces had joined the

But Jack had apologized for hours, thinking that the man was angry with him. It had even gone so far that Jack had le

The Dark Knight was many things: imposing, large, scary, intimidating, pushy, bossy, sarcastic, mean, quiet and broody. But he was never late.
"Walk faster, Dick. I can't miss this meeting." Bruce hissed under his breath, just quiet enough so that that the reporters couldn't hear. The last thing he needed was for the press to think that Bruce Wayne threatened his ward.

Diana stood by the roof's edge, her foot atop the short wall and her arms folded on her knee. She was watching the night and was clearly lost in thought, and did not speak much for the half hour they waited.

They had been sitting on the couch, relaxing and talking an laughing at stupid TV commercials for stupid products like Mira-Grow Hair Tonic and FreshBreeze Foot Spray. Then the actual show-some mundane comedy about two supposedly-average teenagers-had come back on. One of the main characters-some arrogant yet somehow lovable jock-was whining and moaning and bitching about how bad his life is, and suddenly he talks about what a supposed jerk his dad was, and the Kaldur loses it.
