Mamma's gonna kill for you the whole damn world
And if the whole damn world don't die,
Mamma's gonna shoot the rest in the eyes
And if the people still can see,
Mamma's gonna release some deadly bee's
And if those deadly bee's don't sting,
Mamma's gonna make everybody scream
And if those people still don't scream,
Papa is surely gonna steam
And if Papa happens to kill them all,
Mamma and papa won't let you fall
Because you will be our legacy,
And Mamma will be so proud of Baby...

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I've been sitting on this one for a while. I didn't know if I liked it when I first wrote it and then I kind of forgot about it. However, my new poll has reminded me that many of you want to see more in the Linchpin verse, so I dug this out and cleaned it up a bit. It's nothing but pure fluff – which is why I think I'm so iffy about it. There is no Robin Torture at all in it! Seriously!
DISCLAIMER: I've said it many times, but I'll say it again because I don't want to be sued: They're not mine! (Please don't sue me!)

The "it" in question was Robin and Kid Flash, and it confused him to no end.
The first time it happened was on their first mission (the unplanned one where they broke into Cadmus and discovered Superboy) and Robin had let his grappling hook fly. Right as he was about to go up, Wally had grabbed onto his utility belt and had whizzed up alongside him. Kaldur had let it go, figuring that it had been a clever, if a bit bold, way of hitching a ride.
But then he remembered another time when Robin and Kid Flash had needed to go to Gotham (Kaldur hadn't wondered why then, but he was certainly curious now.) Rather than take a zeta beam or catch a jet, Wally had simply strapped on his goggles and bent down. Robin, not to be outdone, had hopped on top, piggyback-style, and they had taken off, Robin's black and gold cape flying behind them like a farewell wave.
That had been strange.

The light of morning sun fluttered through Mako's loosely drawn blinds, hitting him directly in the eyes, causing him to groan and turn over. He didn't *want* to get up yet. Curling into a ball and throwing his pillow over his head, he mumbled his annoyance into it. It was just one of those days for the Firebender he had come home rather late the night before from his job at the factory, sore as could be. It had been a gruelling day of work and it was still affecting him into the early morning hours he hadn't gotten more than three or four hours asleep from the never ending ache in his back. Though Mako was usually one to work his way through the pain, he just couldn't find it in himself to jump up and go like normal that morning. He was sore and tired, and all he wanted to do was sleep. And besides it was his day off... but even then, he usually got up early. But not today.
Bolin had other ideas, however this was his first day of his new job,

He had searched high and low, even going to look outside and to look in the stables. But no matter where he looked he wasn’t able to find the immortal teenager. And it worried him. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Jack but the boy had always had a...misfortune of getting into trouble, even when he tried to stay out of it.
North shivered as he remembered the last time he had lost track of Jack. The whole east section of the building had been covered with a five feet deep sheet of snow, including his own bedchamber. It had been an accident and North had never blamed the boy to being with.
But Jack had apologized for hours, thinking that the man was angry with him. It had even gone so far that Jack had le

Then the actual show-some mundane comedy about two supposedly-average teenagers-had come back on. Maybe something had been bothering him for weeks and Robin just didn't notice, because everyone knows it is completely unlike their stoic leader to say something as personal and revealing as that.

The Dark Knight was many things: imposing, large, scary, intimidating, pushy, bossy, sarcastic, mean, quiet and broody. But he was never late.
"Walk faster, Dick. I can't miss this meeting." Bruce hissed under his breath, just quiet enough so that that the reporters couldn't hear. The last thing he needed was for the press to think that Bruce Wayne threatened his ward.
"Hmph, why do we even have to be here?" Dick huffed, snatching his hand free of Bruce's grip and crossing his arms tightly across his chest, a small pout working its way over his eleven-year-old face.

However, instead of politely backing off, the concrete creature rushed towards her, causing the Tamaranean to fly up in the air, narrowly missing a swinging limb, and shoot a few starbolts out of her outstretched arms.
It had been well into the night when the team recieved an alert that Cinderblock had escaped from the Jump County Jail-again-and was attacking pedestrians in front of a 24-hout mini mart. So, tired and grumbling, the Titans pulled themselves together and had headed after the cement monster.
Beast Boy headed him off and turned into a large green elephant, trumpeting loudly before rushing at Cinderblock, only to be tosses to the side like a rubber ball. Crumpling to the ground, Beast Boy quickly shrank back into himself

It was near nightfall, but by the oncoming and cloudy snow storm it seemed darker than the usual night. Across the icy rooftops of the crime-ridden city (a corruption and decay that makes Gotham look like Metropolis in comparison), Nightwing was hurrying along them. His acrobatic skills came in handy, as he traversed with great agility across watertowers, ventilation and other assorted instruments lined in his path. He hurdled off the roof of one highrise, landing on the side of a skyscraper and sliding down off, as if he were surfing the steel and glass building. By the sheer thrust of gravity he flew off the building, as he then tumbled through the air, only to whip out his grappler. He then swung through the air after the line caught a gargoyle. He soared past buildings and the populas below his feet, landing atop another gargoyle then climbing in leaps and bounds to the roof once again.

"Pippa," Jack groaned, and rolled over, brushing his brown hair out of his eyes. "It was probably just a deer. Go back to sleep."
"But, Jackson," she whispered. "Christmas is in the morning. It could've been him. It really could've."
"Mother's going to scold you for being awake this late," Jack warned her. "Go back to sleep. Santa Claus went to our house. We're almost home; you'll get your presents in the morning."
He saw Pippa smile in the dark as she curled up next to him. "Goodnight, Jack."

“Come on Octavius! I thought you had more fight in you?!” The newly symbiotic enhanced Peter Parker demanded as held Otto Octavius, now in his first “Superior” costume, by the throat. It seemed so quick once the symbiote rejoined with Peter as he not only freed himself of Otto’s trap, but attacked him so viscously that his costume “shattered” like glass.
“What the hell was that costume glass thing anyway?” Flash asked as the attack also freed them of the mechanical tentacles trapping them.
“That was Octavius’s very soul being attacked.” Julia Carpenter’s voiced explained “Memories and experiences are built in layers within one’s mind and soul. When the symbiote severed Otto’s connection to Peter’s brain, the damage destroyed a chunk of his consciousness. The change in Octavius’s appearance is a manifestation of the damage.”

“Is everything in order?” Miguel asked.
“Yes, Strange used his magic to keep Octavius’s original brain alive enough to extract Peter’s consciousness, though it was slightly damaged by decomposition so we also extract the genetic memories of Kaine and the Venom symbiote to create a perfect copy of Peter’s mind.” Stark answered Spider-Man 2099.
“Good. Now there’s one last thing we need. To keep this machine stable and allow us to both terminate the Octavius mind and place Peter’s mind back in, we need a telepath to keep Otto in check and us safe.” Miguel explained the final piece of his plan.
“Then you have the last part of your plan Miguel…” A weak female voice was heard as the scientist looked to se

That included, thus far, singing exceptionally loudly at unseemly hours of the day and night, dancing rambunctiously throughout the streets, stringing up an innocent cow with festive ivy and holly, donning his most atrociously bright outfit, and generally creating such a pandemonium that several people had thus far attempted to murder him or at least shut him up for a few hours.
It was, in fact, a celebration that would carry on until the Feast of Fools. Two weeks of festivities, followed by perhaps a month of city-wide recovery. Personally, Clopin thought it was, in a word, divine.
There were problems, mind you.
His joyous bounce was stunted by Esmeralda's sluggish pace, and he paused mid-twirl to look at her with raised eyebrows. Now, she had never been quite as interested in celebratory action as he, but Clopin could spy a foul mood from ten feet away while blindfolded. It was all in the posture, you see. The

Commissioner Gordon stood on the roof, his hands in the pockets of his overcoat as he stared up at the bat signal that shined brightly on the clouds above. With him were two uniformed police officers, both of whom watched the signal on the clouds as well. The spotlight that sent it there illuminated much of the roof surrounding it, but behind it and in the distance, all was shrouded in shadows, and everyone present knew that Batman would emerge from those shadows. The sounds of the blowing wind would mask the approach of the Dark Knight and tensions were high as the three awaited him.
A loud, mechanical click sounded from behind them and the spotlight went out, plunging much of the rooftop back into darkness. Only the two lights that flanked the one door that accessed the roof illuminated the roof to any degree. Even as the two policemen spun around, Gordon turned almost casually, looking to the shadowy figure who stood
