Justice League: The Flashpoint ParadoxOver the last few months I have been getting a lot of questions here on DA about what my next project would be and when it might be announced and released. Also, I am thrilled to say, that a lot of you awesome friends and fans have expressed the idea that following Young Justice, you would like to see more DC animation work from me. Well I am happy to reveal that the next project featuring my design work is the recently announced Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, directed by the super talented Jay Oliva, and it will hit the streets on July 30th. I did the designs for this film last spring and summer (after production wrapped on YJ: Invasion) and we just finished post production on the project last month. I gotta say that thanks to all the tremendous talent involved in making this thing, it's looking pretty epic. I personally pushed my style into a slightly more exaggerated look for much of this film and I hope those of you who dug the look of Young Justice will get a kick out ofJustice League: The Flashpoint Paradox2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Justice League War Premiere(s) UPDATEJust wanted to UPDATE this journal with another quick clip of some of our interviews from Tuesday night's premiere in NYC. This one was a bit strange because I didn't want to look right in the cell phone camera... it was so close to my face, lol! Enjoy the awkwardness.Justice League War Premiere(s) UPDATE2 years ago in Personal More Like This
YO! I just returned safely from our JL: War Premiere in beautiful and blizzardous NYC, and I just wanted to thank all the fans and comics and animation press that braved the insane weather to come see us! You guys and gals helped make it a really special night for us, and on behalf of the cast and crew I want you to know that it is deeply appreciated. We have another JL War screening coming up NEXT THURSDAY the 30th of January at the Paley center in LA. Not sure if tickets are still being sold, but I do believe it's still possible to get in for the resourceful and dedicated who either love what we do, or can't wait to tell us how much we suck to our faces!
Here is clip fea
More Interviews and JL War stuff...Alright this is the last update regarding JL War, I promise! For those of you interested in what goes into my process and how I approached design on my most recent projects, as well as others, I gave a few interviews over the last few days that might be insightful and or mildly entertaining. So here come the links...More Interviews and JL War stuff...2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Before I forget, I never posted this, but I gave this next interview last year when we premiered JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE FLASHPOINT PARADOX at SDCC...
Also, anyone interested in the line of upcoming DC animated action figures based on our new movies should check out this interview James Tucker and I gave over at...http://www.dccomics.com/blog/2014/02/05/figuring-it-out-designing-a-new-animated-justice-league
I got good news, bad news and something in betweenGood news is, Baby Mango is still alive and active and I don’t know how it can survive in a body like mine. Got it scanned and I saw the ribs and legsI got good news, bad news and something in between1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Bad news is the placenta is blocking the birth opening.
Mine is the marginal one, that one is still okay compare to the complete one. So if there’s blood or sudden stomache, I have to go to the hospital as soon as I can.
The news in between, we still can't tell if Baby Mango is a she or a he. But I'm content with it being healthy.

The Batman Movie Ranking, Pt. IPlease note, ladies and gentlemen, that this will include every notable animated movie... that I've seen. Still haven't gotten around to "Assault on Arkham" or "Son of Batman." Been meaning to, but, eh, been sidetracked. At any rate...The Batman Movie Ranking, Pt. I1 year ago in Personal More Like This
13) Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman
Ladies and gentlemen, people will often cite Batman & Robin as the worst of the bunch... and some more recently have made it good sport to tear The Dark Knight Rises a new asshole every time someone mentions it. But you know what? I'm going to put my foot down and say it.
At least they had memorable qualities.
The Dark Knight Rises had a thunderous soundtrack. Batman & Robin had hammy acting and candy-colourful stage design. Rises had Bane, whose every line is worth solid gold. B&R had AHnuld chewing scenery with ice puns and having a blast, as well as ending the movie with an awesomely, AHnuld appropriate

The Day of Thor and the 7 PlanetsThe Day of Thor and the 7 PlanetsThe Day of Thor and the 7 Planets4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Today is not just my birthday; it is also the day of the Norse thunder god Thor, after who I was named. It is a day we call "Thursday". Perhaps you never realized it.
In fact, all the 7 days of the week are named after gods and "planets".
The word planet comes from the ancient Greek word planētēs, which means wanderer or wandering. A planet was defined as a celestial object that was moving against the background stars, meaning it was a close object, wandering across the sky. In ancient times, you could see 7 of such objects with the bare eye, and thus we had 7 planets. Those are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the sun and the moon.
Vettius Valens, a Greek astrologer, was the first person we know of who associated the days of the week with gods. He wrote it down in the year 170 and used the following order: Sun, Moon, Ares, Hermes, Zeus, Aphrodite, and Cronos.
The planetary week names passed from Greece to the
Devious Journal EntryThat doesn't look right. Something off about her eyebrows. No...maybe it's her forehead. Nope...it's her hairline. Gotta be. It's too low. Or too high maybe. CRAP! Something's off, but I cant figure out what. You know...it could be her jaw line. Too wide. Nope. Now it's too narrow and her face looks long. Put that back, but the chins definitely too big. Makes her look manish. Yeah, that's it..that's working! But...now her mouth looks a little weird. The lips are too big or something. Damn it, why did I try to make her smiling? I can never get that to look right. But she needs to be smiling..it works for the piece. You know what, fuck it I'm starting over.Devious Journal Entry4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Man, that's one of the best figures I've ever done! The pose is perfect and I really got some nice energy in it. Its always a great to nail a figure in the quick gesture drawing. Now, I just need to draw the face on there and we're gold. An hour later.....
Son of a mother, that face gave me hell! Didn't think I'd ever get it to look r

Archie Comics Vs. Ken Penders: Summary and ResultsAs much as I really didn't want to talk too much about the ongoing news of the lawsuit, I'd figure I'd finally bring it here to this group to explain what happened with all the hullabaloo. Now before I jump in... I'm not 100% correct on my facts and knowledge about it, so please mind that, if something is incorrect, correct me please!Archie Comics Vs. Ken Penders: Summary and Results2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Once upon a time there was a comic book called "Sonic the Hedgehog" that is produced by Archie Comics. During its wee beginning the comics had Ken Penders as the writer. He loved to work on the book and introduced a lot of what we know of Sonic's world in that series include the infamous "echidna society" that many people loved. After many years of working on the comic, Mr. Penders finally moved on and got Ian Flynn in his stead instead. Now with Ian Flynn writing, he did a bit of "house cleaning" that not everyone agreed with but after a while, created many new things

30 things to stop doing to yourselfTaken from owlsome from something we found via Tumblr (can't find the original parent/post). It's like a "small bible" about life that everyone should read, nothing better than a little cup of wisdom. I recommend this to everyone who has been stuck with things and/or are feeling depressed right now. Cheers and have a good day!30 things to stop doing to yourself1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Stop spending time with the wrong people.
Life is too short to spend time with people who suck the happiness out of you. If someone wants you in their life, they'll make room for you. You shouldn't have to fight for a spot. Never, ever insist yourself to someone who continuously overlooks your worth. And remember, it's not the people that stand by your side when you're at your best, but the ones who stand beside you when you're at your worst that are your true friends.
Stop running from your problems.
Face them head on. No, it won't be easy. There is no person in the world

Witnesses describe it as an oily-black creature with either very stunted legs or an actual fish-tail. It strides around on abnormally long arms.

RULES (Everyone please read)I'm not writing out all the rules, I'm just putting some down that I think we need to address as soon as possible. Other Admins are aloud to edit this blog at will, during any time, so be sure to check for new rules every once and awhile......RULES (Everyone please read)3 years ago in Personal More Like This
1. Blogs must be at least two or more paragraphs, containing at least 6 sentences in each paragraph. However, there is no limit to how long it can get.
2. Please use the best grammer you can, so people can understand what your trying to say. And also, please use (") when talking and (.,!?) at the end of each sentence. If you don't know what I mean, here's an example;
Nightfire pounced on a moving leaf, half hoping a juicy piece of prey had been under it.
"Mouse dung!" She cursed. "Guess I'll have to look for something else."
3. Cussing is aloud, but please no "back-street" cussing is what some people call it. It basically means, no cussing non-stop.
4. No cyber-bullying <
Inspiring GamesI’ve been asked to list which video/computer games I like. I actually compiled a list a while back, with the intention of writing something slightly lengthier than a journal update.Inspiring Games1 year ago in Personal More Like This
The list is not so much what I think are good games – games age and some of them now play like a dog – but they are titles that most inspired me. They either introduced me to new concepts or changed how I saw things.
I won’t go into detail on why each was important to me (that’ll take too long to write!) but if you’re familiar with both my work and these titles, you’ll probably spot where I picked up certain things from.
(Listed in the order of which I first played them)
Cops and Robbers (C64)
The Last Ninja (C64)
Spy vs Spy 2 (C64)
Sonic the Hedgehog (Megadrive)
Sim City (Mac)
Prince of Persia (Mac)
Diggers (Amiga CD32)
Monkey Island 2 (Mac)
TIE Fighter (PC)
Alone in the Dark (PC)
Ultima Underworld (PC)
