Okami will forever be one of my most cherished videogames in my collection. There were so many aspects to be admired--a huge map that could be roamed around freely, giant intimidating bosses that actually required effort to defeat, and a unique and absolutely beautiful design.
As an artist, the entire watercolor/ink painting feel of the graphics is what really made the game win my heart. Even as you play, you are literally granted the power of a brush. You paint symbols directly on the screen that represent elements or attacks that may be used outside and inside the battlefield.
Of course, you're given a variety of weapons as well. Each one you find or purchase is a work of art in itself. They're all different in their own way and look magnificent. You have your choice of Rosaries (beads), Glaives (swords), and Reflectors (mirrors). Other than the looks, the performance of each weapon is slightly different but they're all quite balanced. Reflectors are swung around in a circular motion

this is where the adventure begins.
Don't be afraid to fall,
climbing is needed to reach its sigils.
South of the shrine goes thy way,
there thou shalt find Valus' lair.
Fifteen left and only first one is down.
Be strong, even though in sorrow thou may drown.
This one is slow and resembles a bull.
So raise thy courage without being dull.
On all fours it walks, take a closer look.
For its weak point thou shalt find in its foot.
One quick arrow and the beast comes down.
Now's thy chance; climb, don't fall.
Hold on tight, you know what to do.
After a fight, it's one less to go.
Knight of the earth, sleeping all alone.
Until it's time for thou to come.
It is angry and giant indeed,
those facts thou may heed.
The ground will shatter as he swings his sword.
Do it right and his armor shall fall.
Keep it steady and do thy things,
for to the ground he may thee fling.
Then he falls down, it was his last fight.
Thou fought him with all thy might.

Captainsparklez's eyes flashed and Skyler spat "You've never wanted to see us before so answer truthfully, why are you here?"
Herobrine's glowing eyes flashed "Trust me, there shall be three but the Sky will fall."
Skyler narrowed her eyes behind her sunglasses and Sky went stiff as Herobrine flashed a smile. Captainsparklez grabbed his Jerry sword from it's sheath and he held it up to face Herobrine if his father came one step closer. Skyler noticed locals were covering their ears if Herobrine's voice was a dog whistle.
Herobrine said warmly "You know you three could always come with me and you'd be safe."
Captainsparklez snarled "We'd never come with you."
Herobrine sighed "Have it your way then."
Suddenly there was a clang as a diamond sword hit the ground. Captainsparkle
Alternate Past - SkyThe young boy, who was at least the age of twenty, walked through the vacant halls of the immense kingdom, his footsteps echoing at his every movement. He curiously turned at every attraction that did indeed, catch his eye. The picture frame on the wall drew his attention, covering more than double the size of the doors; its magnificent outlines leaving him breathless. It was his king, the mighty squid overlord, on his throne with his servants bowing to him; the boy being one of the few. He smiled at the sight. After his brief stop, he continued down the halls to the throne room. He couldn't help but feel insecure at the weird paranoia he had seemed to muster, as if there was someone watching him. He shrugged it off, but still had his doubts about his own security.Alternate Past - Sky1 year ago in Short Stories More Like This

After looking around the place for a while, they finally found a screwdriver. Jason picked it up and laughed slightly. "Isn't it always just the last place you look?" Ty chuckled as well, then took the screwdriver from him. "Alright, let's get us out of here." He then used the screwdriver to get rid of the screws on the air vent. It opened and it was actually big enough for them to fit in. (dont you dare) They went inside the air vent as they saw a bright light for them to get out of. They were relieved as they thought it was the exit as they made their way through the tunnel.
Meanwhile, Sky was trying to find his friends throughout all the rooms, though none of them were in a single spot. He was about to give up until he heard footsteps. The group finally found each other! Not all hope was lost! The 3 were so happy. "I never thought I'd see you guys again!" Sky cried happily. They tried to plan a way out of the hellhole.

In the end… it was treachery and love that claimed Rythian’s life…
A week and a day earlier the endermen had begun to arrive; endless numbers, hordes of monsters attacking and breaking against the hastily shored up walls of their desert fortress like waves upon stone. Cabertown had been overrun by the seventh day, houses burning and crumbling as their foundations were carried away by the tall dark monsters. The villagers had been inexperienced in the art of war, and though they had tried, the damage had been too much for them. Children had gone missing from their beds, and adults were slaughtered in the streets like cattle. Ravs had finally had abandoned hope that his city would survive, and led what was left of his people across the desert to seek shelter with Rythian and Zoey; they carried what they could, but most of their belongings were left abandoned. This was probably due to the fact a Demi-God had in fact created the Reapers. Herobrine had created them out of spite and amusement.
Ridge had the right qualities to become a Demi-God, but there was a catch. Interfere with the natural time-flow and space continuum and the right to ascend to Demi-God was taken away.
He'd interfered to save his friends and ended up staying a Reaper for all eternity, not that it was bad.
He just had more limits then a powerful being like Herobrine. For example he could die if something particularly damaging or inescapable came to befall him like being eaten alive by a huge monster or having his soul destroyed.
Being a Reaper made him invisible compared to humans, but not by that much. With the right tools he could be taken down.
Sometimes, he could do something parti

Neither one of the dirt traders felt motivated to work. The humidity and heat made the air too thick and heavy for their comfort and frankly, who really worked on Sundays anymore?
While Sjin was annoyed, Sips was irritated. He disliked this sort of weather, it made him slightly sweaty and sometimes it felt a bit hard to breath, specially when the humidity made his nose clog up.
Overall, he disliked feeling sticky and sweaty.
"Maybe a dip in the pool would make you feel better?" Sjin suggested.
The vampire shook his head. Not only did he think the pool needed to be expanded it also hadn't been properly cleaned up in ages.
What he could use was a cold drink . Or maybe something warmer.

He turns around, rubbing his eyes back to sleep.

Deep in the tundra plains and snow-covered forests of Canada, there lived a small boy in a remote town, nestled in the heart of this vast country. This boy was only five years old when his mother dies from pneumonia leaving the child in the care of his uncle, the father having left years before. For nine long years, the boy's uncle treated him very poorly. Despite the child's best attempts to avoid his relative's wrath, many nights still ended with injury being placed upon the boy. Since their town was more remote than most, their tiny log cabin only had electrical heat for a few hours a day, and so the two were forced to warm themselves by an ancient wood furnace the rest of the time. A favorite cruelty of the uncle was to send the boy out into the winter's cold to gather wood and logs for the furnace that night.
