The crew of the intergalactic cruise ship The Wonders of the Universe are celebrating their upcoming maiden voyage... but a surprise inspection puts everything in jeopardy.
This episode introduces several new alien characters including the dashing Captain McKraken, his First Mate Lin'zee Starshine, and the gruff head-of-security, Major Canis. Quintin is there, if you're a fan of plain old humans.

I bet you weren't expecting more “Wonders” this soon, huh?
When doing voices for the S.T.F.U. 9000 Computer in our “Wonders of the Universe” Pilot, our voice actor “Omahdon“ included a short skit involving the character. We loved it! So Mark decided to animate it when we were still writing the Pilot. The human in the short was originally intended to Quintin Quasar, but we ultimately decided to use another voice actor for him. Thus a new character was born! His name is Rodney.
So enjoy the first “Wonders of the Universe” short! We plan on doing a few of these in between official episodes. Not only will it be a place for jokes or ideas that won't fit in a proper story, but it will also expand on the characters a bit as well. If you missed the pilot, we included a link in the movie to it so you can check it out.

Here's the basic storyboard I used when animating A Smuckers Moment. Basic ideas and poses are outlined--it's not too specific but helps me have a general idea of how i want the animation to come out. Usually, when the audio is sent to me, it comes in raw, so I need to suit it with music and sfx. But I keep the basic storyline in mind as I fit the audio together.
There's also no coding. But as a whole, for an animation this short, it'll take me 2 hours to complete--which is an improvement from the days when I started flash where 15 seconds of a mid-quality flash would take me an entire day to complete.
