An upgrade from Flash MX 2004 to Flash 8 . . . not too much to mention here I suppose. Let me know if you spot something missing or think of something helpful to add . . . or if you found the tutorial helpful I suppose hehe . . . there's a little easter egg around the end of the tutorial (hint: look for objects to click besides the main buttons)
This is a tutorial on how to make a dress-up game in Flash... All text that is a font is highlightable, and you can try out what you've learned in certain frames... Please excuse my messy handwriting. This is for AS3, because there's hardly any tutorials for AS3 and I felt like people need them! This tutorial teaches you how to make draggable clothing and how to make things such as skin turn into different colors. You can apply your knowledge to do other things as well!
[EDIT March 11, 2008 18:26PM] I've added the ActionScript 3.0 version to the .zip file as well, and since I don't use AS3.0 (in other words - I don't know AS3 ) it would be very nice of you to, if you find any bugs, report them back to me asap. Cheers
It's very easy to implement into your own movies - just a simple drag and drop onto the first frame, and that's it. It automatically stops the timeline in which it was put in, until the whole movie is loaded and than continues with the movie normally...
What took me the most time was the graphics, vectoring the Fella to be more precise. The final Fella design is not as cute as the official one, but I like the slightly more badAss look and the glossy finish that my version has. I hope you do too.
For those of you with more advanced actionScript skills, check out the code for my actionScript lightning engine in one of the subFolders. With some minor adjustments you can implement it in your movies very easily.
There's also the code for those rotating bars in the pill crystal as well.
There's very few comments, sorry, but I think the code isn't that complicated, and I hope you'll find your way through it.
I hope you like it. Enjoy.
Comments and critiques are more than welcome, as always.
P.S. I haven't tested the MX2004 version. Leave a comment if there are any issues...
An easy to use example of how to do code scroll as seen on "The Matrix"
this flash animation really exercises your cpu. in fact, i've only seen this animation work properly on 800MHZ+ pc's.
you can always reduce the number of code lines:
just edit the iCount variable in the first frame of the animation.
no documentation is included and all the comments within the .fla are in portuguese. if you have any doubts understanding what I did, please tell me.
As I learn more and more at my new job I feel inclined to share what I have learned with others. Hell If someone would have mentioned this stuff ages ago I would have been well on my way with Flash long before this job.
Ok, so this is a tutorial I made. Well, i'm not taking all of the credit! The original tutorial is from ~kyra10987 here: [link]
This tutorial teaches on how to make a drag-and-drop and skin-changing game. Please do not copy or repoduce this image. Don't use anything of this tutorial, unless to teach yourself. This tutorial is mine [~kami6] and ~kyra10987
