Boredom was practically killing you. You had nothing interesting to do during that evening, so you had decided to spend your time in any place other than the suffocating atmosphere at your confined apartment. You were sitting on a bench at the public square and, although the sun had set and darkness had fallen, it was thanks to the light emitted by the lampposts that stood along the sidewalks that you were able to at least read the wording and gaze at the images imprinted over the pages of the book which was occupying your hands. You sighed sedately as you continued staring at the opened book with a somewhat distant look, not paying much concentration to the many words printed in there. The textbook was mostly concerning Astrophysics; you l

The breeze of the night was cool and fresh, blowing at your face that was slightly shielded by Cloud’s broad shoulders, but little did it affect the fiery sensation that had overtaken your visage. Anyways, you decided to enjoy that rare intimacy while it lasted.
Soon after, the busy noises of the city were hushed, with nothing left of them but the rumbling of Cloud’s motorcycle. That signaled your departure from the perimeter of Midgar. Realizing that, your body stiffened, only slightly, for you had never gone out of the city before, not once in your life. However, the warmth which Cloud’s body emitted onto yours has helped greatly at pushing your anxiety to the back of your mind. Regardless of you not knowing where you were or where you were going, you felt safe and calm; with him, you had absolutely nothing to fear. A graceful smile

As you put some books away on a shelf in the bookstore you run, you wonder if he will be visiting this time again. You worked next door to Seventh Heaven and lived in the apartment upstairs, so when you clear out the rubbish in the back you sometimes see Tifa out there too. Because of this, you and Tifa have become good friends and you often go to Seventh Heaven to have a drink or two.
It all really started when Marlene visited with Denzel in tow and wanted to borrow a book. As she was Tifa’s friend, you allowed her to read books at your store and you had even bought some bean bag chairs and cushions for her to sprawl on while she and Denzel read. It had soon become a regular thing so Barret would leave her with you some days and collect her after his work. On a couple of those days, Cloud had come to get her if Barret was late as Tifa would but she would always be behind the bar. Even though they were only next door it was still a dangerous place.

“I know I asked for your help and all, but I really don't think this is the best way to do this.” Dozens of people, pushed and shoved both you and Noel out of the way, all rushing to the same spot. “I think maybe we skipped a couple lessons that should have led up to this one. In any case, I really don't think I'm ready for this.”
“No, no, this is good. It'll teach you a lot of different things in a short amount of time.” You took hold of Noel's hand to insure you wouldn't lose him in the crowd. “So just bear with me, it'll be worth it.” Though you managed to give him a confidant smile, you honestly weren't even sure how much more of this you could handle. Noel had to be going crazy.
“Fine, but when I break down and have a panic attack.” Noel stopped his threat short, letting you imagine the rest. “What's with all these people being here anyway? I've never seen Academia so crowded before.

*The Next Day*
You open your eyes and find yourself lying in the bed, but in different room than yours. “Where am I?” You rub your sleepy eyes and then realize that Squall is sleeping beside you and your faces are inches apart. He's resting one arm of his around your waist while the other is folded under his head. You can hear him breathing softly and you feel his warm breath soughing against your visage. Your hand that is placed over his chest is moving in harmony with the slow movements of his lungs.
The idea of you sleeping beside him for the whole past night makes your blood boil within you with so much timidity, but you didn’t hesitate to smile as you watch his peaceful figure sleeping soundly in front of you. “Good morning, Squall.” You whisper.

Cloud Strife x Reader
It was a beautiful Sunday evening; the night sky is clear, and the fresh air outside felt nice. But, for some reason, you were stuck in your own little apartment. You were sitting on your desk, working on some college projects. The deadline to presenting your homework was at the end of the month, which meant that you weren’t obliged to make haste, since you still had enough time on your hands. However, you thought you’d spend the evening getting some of your work out of the way. But in spite of how hard you had tried to focus on doing your homework, your mind, along with your thoughts, were drifting somewhere else. You reached into your pocket and fished out a small folded paper. You held it gently with your fingers and gazed at the couple of words that were written on there – ‘Come back tomorrow.’
It was probably th

You couldn’t sleep much that night and in the morning you’re yawning what seems like every five minutes. The thought of being with Squall again today was just too much to handle and now you were going to have to spar him half asleep! Hopefully you would wake up when you started. You are sure he won’t be impressed with you if you become a narcoleptic.
“Morning, _________,” Quistis says as you join her for breakfast. It’s early so Selphie and the others probably wouldn’t come for another half an hour.
“You’re up early as usual,” you say to Quistis. She smiles as she wipes her mouth with a napkin, “I’m back in the infirmary today. We’ve had a couple of our men come in from Dollet. Nothing too severe but not nice either.”
“Oh dear,” you frown, “How many injuries is that of our men this week?”
“Twenty three,” Quistis says, “There’s a lot of them now.

Bolting down the halls of the Shin-Ra building you throw a quick glance behind you, and see that Genesis is now right behind you. You flash Genesis a cheeky grin before looking forward again, speeding up slightly.
"______! Get back here now!" Genesis shouts, as he starts to fall behind slightly, and you giggle slightly, tightening your grip on Genesis copy of Loveless, which you had taken from him.
See, you and Genesis didn't really get along, in fact you both disliked each other quite a lot, which was why you were always teasing him and playing pranks on him. Sometimes Genesis managed to get you back for some of the times you had messed with him, but most of the time he didn't bother trying to get you back, as he was always too busy reading Loveless.
You gasp as an arm shoots out in front of you and grabs you around your waist. As you turn round you see Zack grinning cheerfully at you, and you blush slightly when you see his arm is still round your waist.

You looked up at the now familiar stars that filled the night sky and let out a quiet sigh. “You know, we spend an awful lot of time out here in your truck. I'm not complaining or anything, but I think next time we go out, we should actually go somewhere.”
Zack ran his fingers through your hair and chuckled. “What are you talking about? We are somewhere.”
“You know exactly what I trying to say, don't try to pretend you don't. Wandering around in the Balamb Garden military academy, you can’t help but think of Squall. Being in the elite force SeeD, you had always admired him and even been on a few jobs with Squall. Even though Squall had been withdrawn and unapproachable, you had loved that mysteriousness, where it had pushed away others.
However, much to your secret delight – something you weren’t proud of – Rinoa and Squall hadn’t worked out. They had been together for six months but Rinoa’s forwardness and Squall’s brutal honesty had caused them to clash more and more and eventually Rinoa had left.

You look back at your hometown of Nibelheim, standing outside the main gate. You're young, about 16, leaving home already to follow a dream...one that can't be reached here. Your parents and friends didn't want to see you go, especially your best friend Cloud Strife, but they all knew you wanted this.

"First Class Soldier ______," He said. "I was sent to find you."
"Yes?" You say, waving a hand dismissively. Your mind was on other things.
"You, Angeal, and I are being sent on a mission."
You let out an agitated sigh. "What was Lazard thinking?" You mutter angrily under your breath.
"I'm sorry, is something wrong?"
"No, it's nothing you would understand."
"I bet I would, do you want to talk about it?"
"Soldier Second Class, are you ignoring a First Class's advice?"
"Sorry." Zack bowed his head, and passed you, running to complete some other task.

You watched as the gunblades clanged together. Squall and Seifer gritted their teeth together, each holding up to win. It was a par, each one had their own strengths and weaknesses, and it was their way of getting stronger, by paring with each other. Seifer knocked Squall down by hitting him with the hilt of his blade.
Squall, obviously, didn't stay down long; he got back up and charged at Seifer. He hit him straight in the face with full force, slashing his gunblade and leaving a deep gash running from his fore head till the nose. Seifer spat and ran to Squall, making a gash on his forehead, an exact replica that Squall had carved on Seifer's forehead, only difference was that it was an opposite.
"Cut it out!" you ordered, but, unfortunately, they still fought, making bruises and gashes.
"Stop it, NOW!" you screamed, they looked at you with blood dripping down.
You ran to the brunette and blond and sighed.
