Werewolf MemeSince I have a little time and I'm bored while I sit here and print tonight I figured I would go ahead and do this one for my Kierrn. What the heck.Werewolf Meme4 years ago in Personal More Like This
...Its a meme about your own version of werewolves. Because they're mythological, and can pretty much be any version of a human turning into a wolf.
Original cause of "werewolfism":
Kierrn started out as ancient humans living close to nature. A tribe of these humans who were shamanic and extremely close to the spirits were granted the gift to turn into wolf-like creatures at will who would be guardians of sacred places and keepers of sacred lore by the great spirit of Wolf. At some point a jealous dark spirit tricked the great spirit of Wolf and stole her children from her, cursing them with the darkness of Hunger, enslaving the race to their darker natures and appetites. The curse of Hunger in turn feeds the dark spirit

10 things to do while looking at a photo10 things to do while looking at a photo2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Training your eye is very important. To take your photography to the next level and grow as an artist, you need to know what looks good, have an open mind and build your own style.
Point at the first thing that attracts your attention (often being the brightest point in the image)
Try to mentally trace the path your eye takes around the image (it's like connecting the dots in order to discover the story, in this case)
Has the photographer used the rule of thirds? Or a different type of placing the elements in the image?
Has the photographer shot from his eye level? Or chose a different point of view?
What is the photographer trying to transmit with the image?
How has the photographer used the environment to tell the story?
How has the photographer used light?
Why does the image work?
Does the image evoke an emotional response in the viewer's eye?
From the above, which can be appli

Interested in Dreamworks? Lighting ResourceSo I attended a talk by Bert Poole - He's currently serving as a CG Supervisor on their new movie "The Croods" scheduled for release in March 2013. His most recent movie, you all know of is How to Train Your Dragon, where he was also a CG Supervisor. If you don't know what that means, that means he worked on lighting C: What I'm putting below is from notes I took during his lecture.Interested in Dreamworks? His job is to take the directors vision and make the movie look like it. He's making compositions and helping the story to better read. If you've ever talked to me on DA for three or more posts, you might have heard me blab about my major and what I'd like to do. I'd like to do into Lighting, animation second. I just don't feel my skills are as suited for animation, even though I really enjoy it.

Duden is the language destroyer of the yearThe Duden was made over 100 years ago and there is a new version every year. Itīs a book about most of the german words, where students and all other people can look up how to write a german word or where it comes from.Duden is the language destroyer of the year1 year ago in Personal More Like This
But this year the Verein Deutsche Sprache VDS (Club for the german language) voted the Duden as german language destroyer of the year (Sprachpanscher des Jahres), an embarrassing price german people or organisations get, that do not protect and develope but destroy the german language.
If you understand German you can read it in the news:
The reason was, that the Duden, an important book where all the Germans look up words is overtaking senseless und too much english words.
Notice: The VDS or anyone else does not hate the English language, itīs a wonderful language. But the VDS dislikes, when the Germans overtake masses of english words in all parts of everyday life,
Ookami (A deified wolf in Japanese Mythology)There are some animals and creatures in Japanese mythology. Almost of them are servants of gods. For example, foxes are servants of Inari-shin, who is a god of harvest.Ookami (A deified wolf in Japanese Mythology)2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Only two creatures took part in a category of gods -that is to say, wolves and snakes-.
Chichibu had been the most active area of a faith to wolves.
Long time ago, Yamato-Takeru-no-Mikoto [日本武尊] (who is one of heroes in Japanese mythology) went on an expedition. But when he went through in the deep forest of Chichibu [秩父] mountains, it was in a dense fog and he lost his way. Then, one white wolf appeared in front of him. The white wolf walked a head of him and guided to the outside of the forest. He escaped the deep forest at last.
Yamato-Takeru-no-Mikoto greatly appreciated a help of a white wolf. He constructed a shrine. The wolf which helped him was joined in a group of gods. The god of the wolf was called "Ooguchi-no-Magami [大口真神]". (It means "a g
Need references?Although drawing and painting "from life" is way much more effective and efficient than drawing from photos (I'll be writting a separate journal about this soon, no worries), you simply can't have a person to model for you every time you want to create something. And there are situations when you don't exactly know how to place that bloody hand or if the foot is drawn correctly. Similiar issues can happen with architecture, perspective... with everything you draw. Then, when you look for help, you may stumble upon Stock gallery and you find awesome things. My first video on YoutubeHi my dear members,My first video on Youtube1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I made a video about german history, but only the first part from the germanic tribes age until the founding of the German Empire 1871. If I have more time and the people like the video, I will continue making videos. And of course you can tell me what you like and don´t like, I won´t be angry, critik is very good^^
If you like it and have a youtube account, you can give me a thumb up, so that it will become a bit more popular among history lovers.
And of course you can tell me, what song, scenes, pictures and events I shall use for the second part from 1871 until 2013.
I hope you like the video, and well sadly Youtube destroyed the quality a bit, but it´s still rather good^^ I added annotations so that all english speaking people understand what I wrote or what they see, if you don´t like the annotations, just click the little gear symbol and switch it off. The atmoshphere is much cooler without the annotations.

Short a few points but want to commission? Ask about pending points
Always check the commissions bar on my profile page for available commissions, if the commission you want is not there then it is not open. My commissions have limited slots, if all the slots are filled then that particular commission will be closed until one of the slots open again. There will not be any waiting listMy commissions are not fist come first served. I will choose the ones I want to takeIf I reject your commission you can note me and ask why. (if there are are a lot of people wanting the slot, I usually pick the best looking character design. If I like the design/concept then I will most likely get it done faster)Do not get mad or take it personally if I reject a commission. It doesn't mean I never want to do one for you. Keep trying everytime a slot

PE DDs: When It's Not Always PositiveWhen DDs Go AwryPE DDs: When It's Not Always Positive2 years ago in Deviant Events More Like This
Daily Deviations, or “DDs,” are frequently held in very high esteem on deviantART. After all, what artist does not want his or her work displayed for more than 20 million viewers to see and admire? The benefits of receiving a DD feature include increased exposure for your work and a day in the spotlight for you as an artist. Many people therefore view DDs as badges of honor, awards that make them proud and validate the time they spend in our community.
Be careful what you wish for!
Don’t get us wrong-- DDs are wonderful for the purposes listed above. But, they can also bring a lot of drama upon the artist, especially if they are controversial.
Let’s talk about some of the sources of this drama.
Some people feel that people who post art-- and especially those whose art is worthy of a Daily Deviation-- should have thick enough skin to accept criticism as well as praise. They argue that criticism is part

Sharing Your Art: Chat, Forums + Groups So you've submitted your work to deviantART and now... wait, what now? This is a question many deviants find themselves wondering. Again for many of us, hundreds of our fellow deviants aren't flocking to our galleries. So - what exactly can we do to bring them to us?Sharing Your Art: Chat, Forums + Groups8 months ago in Deviant Events More Like This
There are quite a few ways to get your work out into the big bad world of deviantART - it's just finding your niche and getting into it. Three common ways to show off your art are: groups, forums & chat.
:#sharezone: is a great chat to share your artwork in at anytime of the day and almost always has quite a few people in it. Many groups and other deviants also host chats for various reasons: general chat, critique, games, etc. The problem with chats is not everybody is on the same time zone, so it can be hard to corre
The Essence of FursuitingHello FotoFriends! The Essence of Fursuiting9 months ago in Personal More Like This
It's been a long time since I wrote a journal… it's been quite a while since I was active anyway! It's about time I tried and change all that laziness into something productive!
Now this journal is not so much an update on what keeps me busy these days but more of an extended story of a very, very special photo submission of a moment in my life that I'll never forget.
The moment I am talking about is the life-changing hug you can see below.
Now let the story begin;
Little more than a year ago I was taking on the challenge of getting my drivers license. My instructor was an awesome guy and was interested in photography just like me! During the many hours we spent driving around we also spoke of fursuiting a lot because I just love to tell people about what keeps me busy and the things I enjoy doing.
During one driving lesson I spoke of the idea of fursuiting in the local zoo "Diergaarde Blijdor
