What doesn't kill you makes you strongerI just went back and read some of the horrible comments I've received from people in the past. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I remember how hurtful it was and how much I wanted to just dissapear from it all. I felt helpless and hopeless.
The internet can be a terrible place.
When people aren't accountable for what they say they feel a certain sense of power. The ability to judge others without being judged ourselves is a position of immense dominance. It's exhilarating to exercise that dominance over another person.
But now, looking back, I realize that it doesn't bother me anymore. I don't even bother hiding, deleting or responding to those comments because it just doesn't bug me. I feel a resounding "eh",
I keep those comments up so that people can see the kind of behaviour that people reduce themselves to when they're behind a computer screen. Every "this is shit" or ""he" is just a dyke and a "she"" has meaning to me now. It means that I've overcome something that I never would have thought possible. I'm not hu
Anime Revolution Review + Avatar VideoAnime Revolution ended a few days ago and I'm still riding that con high! In my opinion it was a stellar con with a really clean and professional atmosphere/vibe. It was the con's first year, but to me it ran (and looked) like a much more experienced con. I've heard a lots of criticism of the con, but not from the people I ran into at the con itself. Everyone I came across seemed to be in really good spirits and had a positive opinion of the con. I know that there are some tensions are Vancouver cons at the moment, but in my opinion the more the better! I'm not going to side with one con or another, to me that'd be silly, I want all the cons to succeed cause if my hometown was con central than I'd never be bored!!! A warning to the people
One of the questions I get a lot are "who do you buy ____ from?"
I always assumed that all sites were pretty equal,
but I recently have been, and still am, dealing with a dispute form a contact website,
they have broken their our rules but still refusing to refund the purchase,
and because of the way they worded the product paypal is refusing to step up.
I'm pretty burned,
and I know others have been screwed over,
or have had major problems from dealing with people online.
As well as people who have had amazing experiences.
Here is my list,

Hey guys! So as we're preparing for Fanime we managed to fit in the filming of a series we've been waiting to do for a while. We filmed the first 2 episodes of Kingdom Bros this weekend and all went really well. So I am pleased to present, Kingdom Bros!
We'll be working on a lot of projects during the summer. Kingdom Bros, Murmbering Crows (Blue Exorcist) Part II, a handful of CMVs and much much more (Fox and Box??? HAH we're behind in doing the finale for that BABY STEPS, we're procrastinators XD)
So I'm not 100% sure on when I'm going to be wearing my cosplays for Fanime, but I can say WHAT I am cosplaying! It'll be:
-Remus (Harry Potter: The Marauders)
-Blood (Alice in the Country of Hearts)
-Luke Fon Fabre (Tales of the Abyss)
Still sorting out some plans with other folks, but those are the cosplays that I'm bringing
I absolutely cannot WAIT for Fanime, I

I am looking for art inspiration. In all honesty, my art skill is pretty lacking, but I really want to make one of my original stories into a web comic. So here's the contest!
Xan is the 16 year old son of a politician. He is rebellious and does everything he can to try to ruin his father's career. One day, he meets Logan, a 25 year old procurer in the local Red-light District. Xan ends up getting roped into working as a male escort for Logan, but things end up getting out of hand and more than Xan's father's political career is at stake.
Xan: Average height and build. Fairly long, light brown hair. Green eyes. Tends to wear muscle shirts, jeans and hoodies.
Example of Xan
Logan: Short dark brown hair. Brown eyes. Clean-shaven. Always wears suits and designer clothes. About 5 inches taller than Xan, muscular build. Wears glasses, but doesn't actually need them. Smokes quite often.

So we'll be coming to Cos and Effect this August!
It'll be August 24-26 at UBC (Vancouver, BC) and some of us will be there holding events and panels! Cos and Effect is really unique in that it's a costume, cosplay and alternative fashion-based con. See you there!
I'll post more about what we're doing panel-wise for Cos and Effect and Anime Revolution closer to the date of those cons, but here I just wanted to get the word out about a contest that Nova and I are hosting at Cos and Effect: the CMV Contest
We're going to be hosting a CMV Contest! A CMV is a Cosplay Music Video, and for some examples you can check out some of FDP's CMVs here: http://vimeo.com/user9598094/videos/page:1/sort:newest
The CMV (Cosplay Music Video) Contest asks participants to create a music video featuring cosplay. There will be prizes provided by Cos and Effect! Top entries to the contest will be screened at Cos and Effect, and the winning entries in each category will be awar

A look at Mako and Bolin's pastA new Legend of Korra-related webseries has been released by Nickelodeon, giving viewers a glimpse at Mako and Bolin’s hard-luck childhood.A look at Mako and Bolin's past2 years ago in Personal More Like This
A new short webseries called Republic City Hustle debuted today on Nickeldeon.com. Republic City Hustle serves as a small prequel to The Legend of Korra, focusing on the characters of Mako and Bolin as young orphans trying to survive in Republic City.
The beautiful paper-cut animation style of Republic City Hustle is very distinct from The Legend of Korra‘s visual identity. However, the consistent character design and voice work by Korra‘s David Faustino (Mako) and PJ Byrne (Bolin) – as well as the use of music from season 1 – help Republic City Hustle remain perfectly in tone with the Avatar universe.
Republic City Hustle will be told in three parts, and will continue next week (August 16). Check out the first installment right here:

Banzaicon was AMAZING. The con was intimate, unique and incredibly fun. We had an amazing reception there, I would have never imagined that so many people wanted to meet us from all over the place. A huge thank you to everyone who came to our panels. They were all full, including the 10am ones (which UBER impressed me, cause even Nova and I were tired for those XD). Everyone was so friendly, funny and a pleasure to be around
I want to give a special thanks to the Banzaicon staff who were incredibly professional, accommodating and took perfect care of us while we were there. The con had so many things that I had never seen at other cons, which was especially impressive because it was a small-size con.
We had an amazing time in Norway in general as well, everyone we met was so nice!
All the people at the con were so wonderful. We got so many lovely gifts as well! Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome and thank you so much for having us! TAKK~!

Born of a young mother, maiden, which raised her in a very good shape, working from sunrise to sunset, on the outskirts of the city. The father, Sol was someone that simply did not exist, the mother was talking about him, but the young future avatar, did not care, because it not only was not with them, but would not even know.

It was a troubled time for the city, there were several revolutions against the new measures taken to prohibit the control within it. The police had decided cornering the homes of renowned teachers, or just to throw them away by force. This was the case of the mother of Sol, was a master fire. The farm was taken ove

First things first, we leave for Fanime in 4 days!!!! 8D I'm getting all shaky-peeing-chihuahua just thinking about it. We're staying with caineyamiyasha and TerrorSprinkles who are gonna pick us up on Wednesday and show us around their neck of the woods which I'm greatly looking forward to. We don't get to spend very much time with them, so that little vacation day will be awesome I'm sure. Not to mention the con itself is sure to be a blast. I can't wait to meet all the folks who're going please comment and let me know what you're planning to bring for that awesome MUTLTISTALK effect 8D I also look forward to meeting up with people I've met before, because let's face it we only get to see each other once or twice a year and that's just too little-a-timeframe I really hope I get to meet as many people as possible, because that's the reason I go to cons! XD So as per usual please don't be afraid to come say hi! No matter what, you're not a bother, I'm not going to knoc

So twinfools and I arrived in Seattle in the afternoon and went to the hotel to check-in. We had one heck of a time, but once everything was sorted out, we dropped off our bags and went to pick up our good friends, TerrorSprinkles and caineyamiyasha, from the train station. With all four of us finally there, we got ready for the convention.
Twin and I wore Peeta and Katniss (movie arena versions) and trolled around in those for awhile. We met up with :devGeeky-Spirit: and got some night shots in our Hunger Games cosplays.
After that, we went for a swim in the very crowded pool and called it a night.
This was the FightingDreamersPro group cosplay and this year we did X-Men. I've been wanting to cosplay Phoenix for a very long time so I was very happy to finally get the chance to do it. It was so much fun cosplaying with the rest of FDP again. It sucks that we are so busy and don't get to see each other as often as we used to.
Animethon! So it's about time that I put up an Animethon journal since it's in 2 weeks! Nova and I can't wait to go to Edmonton for a con, we get to visit our Alberta neighbours! Really stoked at getting to meet lots of people who we've been so close and yet so far away from for so long! We're there to meet people, first and foremost, so if you see us at the con please don't hesitate to come say hello and stick around for a chat, photos, I'LL EVEN DRAW YOU SOMETHING >8D doesn't matter. We love socializing at cons (in fact that's most of what we do at cons haha) so don't feel like you're being a bother ;D We're nice people, I promise and if you feel awkward just remember that I'm probably just as awkward if not more awkward than you. I'm kind of a shit show. So we can be awkward together :3

This is something I've been talking about with Kelly for a while now, and I have recently (after some serious talk) gained my mothers support in the venture.
However, I can't do it for free. This is where you guys come in.
