I am not doing requests.
Please stop noting me about requests. There's no way you're gonna squeeze free art out of me, no matter how many flattering words you use to compliment my work. I am not going to draw stuff for free for people I don't know (or anyone else in that matter). I want to do this for a living, y'know. It is my actual profession. I need to pay bills and buy food.
If anything, free stuff is friends only, in form of gift art that I draw when I feel like it.
If you send me (or other people) stuff like "I wish we were friends so you'd draw me stuff!" you're being a giant douchebag. You're probably not aware of it but it's true. Wanting to befriend someone so you get something from them isn't nice, it's you being an asshole. Stop

Here's my usual (ang getting increasingly late) report about the cons we attend!
We went as a Disney group last Toycon! And I just realized we don't have a decent complete group shot. That's okay I guess because it's definitely not the last time we'll be wearing the costumes, and we all had things we wanted to improve. We have a habit of doing that with new cosplays wear them to a con and observe pictures from it after to see what looked wrong or felt uncomfortable about the costumes or wigs or makeup. It's helpful! Some of our friends were also unable to join us for Toycon so we'll definitely be doing this again.
Most of the photos are from my camera but I borrowed some from friends and albums we were tagged in.
LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS-
So we saw this store, and we needed to take a photo in front of it for obvious reasons So there's Dom :iconweakman: as Captain Li Shang, myself :iconbehindinfinity: as Ping, and Bok as Ling from

I went to sleep yesterday and then my mom came to turn off my alarm saying I should sleep and not wake up at 7am because it's holidays *pfff yeah tell me about it*. So she took my phone to do it, but I had changed the wallpaper.
In the past I had this one *SHUN OF COURSE*
To which she said "Ooooh! Is he drawing stars in the sky? :iconilikeitplz:"
"No Mom, he's just flying a kite."
Well....close enough if you consider what happened yesterday :iconorzplz:
She saw my new wallpaper which is this one:
And it went like this:
Me: "Yeah mom I drew it alright let me sleep" *mumbling because it was 2am lol I never really show her my drawings or admit that I drew something so yup* *no I'm not shy who said that?*
Mom: "Pretty! Is that an airplane?"
Me: *jumps up from bed* ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Mom: Yeah I think those look like tires
Me: YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS :icondurrhurrplz: *cracking up like crazy*
*took the phone and showed her the full version*

I really need the money y_y
I’m a university student in a foreign country and not being born in the UK (but in Europe) means I don’t get financial help from the government…
Therefore I’d appreciate it if you guys could commission me ;u; They aren't expensive or at least I don't think they are in relation to what I'm able to draw... Any little thing helps, please!
What will I draw?
Both traditional and digital drawings.
For traditional coloring, I'll do colored pencils, felt tips and crayon drawings.

Everyone's entry was REALLY GREAT! You all really had outstanding ideas ;u; I loved all of the entries and it was so much fun seeing all of the different clothing designs. Thank you so much for entering my contest - it was a lot of fun, especially being the third one to run for clothing!! But! The cash needs delivery, so let's see the rankings...
This design was SUPER creative and stood out as the most original. It fits his species and personality, as well as his aesthetic interests while still being fun to look at. The concept behind it is adorable and creative and the 404 on the back of the jacket is a nice touch.
This costume definitely hits the majority of his interests! The cloak design is very sleek and interesting, and the glowing bottom half of the outfit is a nice touch, especially with how much he likes glows. The c

I've been spending more time around dA lately, and while most of it is very positive, some of it... well, isn't. People telling each other their work sucks, stop drawing, etc. Or even people looking at my work and saying or thinking that they'll never be as good and getting discouraged.
Please, please, don't. No one is born perfect. No one is born able to compete in the Olympics or paint a masterpiece. I first picked up a pencil when I was one year of age I've had over twenty-two years of near-constant practice, and I have a mother who's an art teacher. I had a load of encouragement and constructive criticism and advice. And I'm still hugely critical of my own work and see a hundred flaws in everything I do. I'm nowhere near reaching my full p

i all! I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes from this project as I have already put a lot of work into it and have become quite attached. My friend, Iain, and I have decided to travel for a year together. We both have always wanted to but have never had the opportunity for various reasons, but we've decided that there is no time like the present! We have begun designing products to sell in order to fund our year-long adventure starting in England (where Iain lives), traveling all through Europe, sailing across the Mediterranean, and traveling southeast through India, China, Japan and finally New Zealand. One of our fund raising endeavors is to create a deck of playing cards to sell throughout our travels and via our online store. We imagine a deck that is both unique and stylized, featuring a variety of artists with a range of styles and a common theme of world travel and global commun

My Two cents on Portfolio ReviewsYou know, I see quite a bit of portfolio on a regular basis, and even more so when I go to comic con and CTN.My Two cents on Portfolio Reviews2 years ago in Personal More Like This
This time around was the same thing, I saw quite a few portfolios. Some good ones and some that miss the mark.
There were a few in particular that caught my eye.. a few extremely good ones, and a few that just didn't work, and I wanted to try and share my opinions about portfolios in general.
This is just my point of view, based on MY experience and definitely not a definitely law, rule, or "must do". Just what I noticed in many student's and young professional's portfolios.
The first thing that strikes me is how similar portfolios can be from one student to another..I can almost always tell when one student is from Art Center, San Jose State, Otis, Sheridan or any other major school. It's a good thing and a bad thing. Mainly a bad thing though
Just a few personal thoughts on portfolios since I just came back from comic con and saw a ton over there.
Your portfolio should be a r

Sipping tea with your Muse Only by fostering a facility with the vocabulary of your artistic medium of choice, can you begin to really free yourself to be open to being creative with it.Sipping tea with your Muse9 months ago in Personal More Like This
The size of that vocabulary is another matter, and that’s about growth, improvement and development. These are important as well, and intricately linked to creativity, in parallel (more on that in a future article). But first let’s talk simply about the genesis aspect of art.
Remember when you were in high school, doodling in the margins of your notebooks? Ballpoint pen and edges of blue-lined notebooks, with half an ear listening to the lesson of the day? There was a familiarity in that setting, and ease that you moved through when you sketched these throwaway doodles. Every once in a while you’d accidentally make one that you’d really like, and you’d save that scrap of paper with notes on American History melding into the lines of a drawing of your D&D charac
Prismacolor Marker ReviewHello, :iconpeachfuzz: here. If you are interested in Prismacolor markers and their uses, then this might just be worth a read. I currently own a 144-piece set, and have run dry several smaller sets in the past year and a half. For this review, keep in mind that all colors that are capitalized (i.e. Violet or Yellowed Orange) are the actual color names of the markers used in the examples. All examples used are credited to the original artist (Mostly me) in the description as well as in the link.Prismacolor Marker Review9 years ago in Personal More Like This
PRICES: As with all Prismacolor products, the markers can be quite spendy. I have seen them anywhere from $1.50 to $6.00 per marker. From personal experience, I would not advise paying much more than $2.00 per marker, especially when buying in bulk. Individual markers are always more expensive, but anything over about $2.75 a piece is unreasonable. When on the trail of good deals, surfing the net and checking out art supply sites is always a good idea. My personal favorite is DickBlick.c

How to gain more exposure on deviantART!So you think you're a pretty good artist, and have some decent pieces, but nobody to show. Or perhaps you're a learning artist who wishes to attract more attention to your pieces to get advice and criticism. Sound like you? I know it sounds like me!How to gain more exposure on deviantART!7 years ago in Art Features More Like This
Many artists on deviantART wish that they could have more exposure in the art world, but I've noticed that not many of them know how to go about doing so. There are actually many options, and we shall examine them thoroughly, to hopefully get you more exposure!
First off, just so that we're all on the same page, please don't expect exposure if you have nothing in your gallery. You need to be serious and dedicated about this. Also, ALWAYS make sure that the work is your own, and not stolen from someone else. It will surely get back to the artist from which you took it from, and you will be severely penalized.
Now that we've cleared that up, we'll begin!
1. The most common way to get exposure, comments and favourites is to

•Stumbled upon the above picture on tumblr. I first imagined a highschool bully for Abbey for TΛB. The idea for Hana to be Abbey's older sister came some time afterwards when brainstorming Hana's backstory.
•Stumbled upon this picture as well. Primarly saved the image as clothing refs for Michiko Toyoda. I always commented on how Cara (who's name I didn't even know at the time) looked like an ideal daughter for Michiko.
•So the base idea for Hana was set. She would be the daughter of someone with Michiko's likeness and instead of being
