You are what I wanted
I am just a duck
Prince, you are so beautiful
There is no reason why
Such sadness should fill your eyes
It is I who should be sad
I am just a duck
I am just a girl
A clumsy one at that
Not worthy of you
But I try my best
To make you smile
I am just a girl
I am Princess Tutu
This power I borrowed
To return your heart to you
I have made this my desire
So perhaps I could be worthy
I am Princess Tutu
I am your wish and servant
You are what I needed
I am Princess Tutu
Temporary and transient
You might not trust my motives
I want what you want
So why can’t we work together?
I am Princess Tutu
I am a clueless girl
You pick on me a lot
But when I fall down
You’re always there for me
Pulling me back up
I am a clueless girl
I am not just any duck
You know who I truly am
And hold me close nonetheless
Believe in me; protect and cherish me
You give me hope and courage
I am not just any duck
I am your muse and inspiration

"We'll leave in a minute, Al," Edward promises. Golden eyes close.
Al nudges the prodigy alchemist. "Brother?" But the teenager sleeps on. The younger brother sighs hollowly, tugging at the red coat. "Come on, Ed, you can't fall asleep now."
The older Elric's face is peaceful, encouraging Alphonse to let him sleep. They're both banged up from their mission, Ed with bruises, Al with dents.
But Edward never gives up. He always pushes through.
And now it's Alphonse's turn.
Bending down, he scoops the blond into his arms, cradling him protectively. Ed feebly protests. "Don't worry, Brother, I'll carry you."

Someone was violently shaking Max. He tried to say something and he couldn’t. He only whined a little bit, and that seemed to bring everything to a halt.
“Max! You’re alive!” Sam was hugging him so tightly Max was unable to breathe again. “You’re alive, you’re alive, you’re alive…”
“Sam, you’re hurting me,” Max tried to say in his croaky voice, but Sam never heard him. He kept repeating “you’re alive, you’re alive” as if it was some sort of magic mantra.
Suddenly Max had a coughing fit. Opening his eyes, he realized why. A thick cloud of dust was hovering over them. “Let’s get you out of here,” Sam said.
“Oh no. Not this. Not now,” Sam growled in frustration. And then the pouring rain started hitting the building. Sam carried Max into another room, looking for the exit. The cloud of dust was lighter

“You,” he whispered. “You’re the most obnoxious, asinine, GRATING bastard I have ever met. And I can’t stand to spend another second in here with you.”
“That’s a lot of big words. I can’t even believe you talk to your mother with that mouth,” Max said, calmly, half-trying to defuse the situation. Cocky seemed about to do something stupid. And he did.
“Screw this mission. And screw YOU.” Cocky dragged himself out of the shaft. Max was so astonished he could hardly react. “Cocky, wait!” he whispered. “The wizards!”
“SCREW the wizards!” Cocky shouted at Max. His voice was amplified by the shaft tenfold. He turned his head and pointed up at the floating figures. “HEY YOU, THE IDIOTS UP THERE! SCREW YOU!”

Max sighed. He didn’t like handing over the brain in the jar, but he couldn’t walk without help. Desiree looked like she could be trusted, or at least he would have to. So he complied.
Cocky made a face. “That’s only because you’re a chick, you know,” he said.
“Seems like you didn’t have enough punch on your prom party, Cocky,” Desiree remarked.
“I love you too, babe. Hey, if you really want to finish the job that guy started, you’d only have a little way to go,” Cocky said.
Brock half-dragged Max into the ship and carefully lowered him into a seat. Max mumbled some exhausted thanks and saw Desiree put the jar in a cargo container. He felt tempted to say something, but he thought better.
They would never understand.

“I thought you were...” Sam paused and let Max go. “Wait a second. Where's the past ME?”
Now that’s a looong story, Max thought. But he managed to summarize it well.
“Oh yeah, about that: we were on a case and you got turned into a giant monster with electromagnetic powers, so I kinda had to blow you up.” Max paused for dramatic effect, then he said with his best maniacal grin: “It was horrible!”
Sam cringed and Max was instantly reminded that it was probably too soon to joke about it. An awkward silence followed. For a moment, Max was at a loss at what to say next, but he suddenly remembered what had brought him out of his funk. He got his Luger out.

“And the next time you try to do your best impression of a vuvuzuela, I’ll just bonk you on the head and leave you to the wizards.”
“Awesome. I like it rough,” Max smiled unnervingly.
Cocky groaned. He looked around. The room was curved and crooked strangely. It was as if all the angles were about to collapse. He shook his head, as the whole thing was making him slightly nauseous.
“This place is madness,” Cocky whispered. “We have to be careful or it’ll mess with our heads.”
Max shrugged. “Bah. No big deal. I’ve been in a place like this before. Multiple times. Sam always forgets to pick up stuff and has to come back at some p

“You don’t need to tell him anything,” Momma Bosco suggested. “Just go and do what you need to do.”
“Yeah, and if you get killed, he can still try and save Sam,” Paperwaite said. Cocky looked at Paperwaite, unnerved. “Dying is not in the plans,” he said, coldly.
“Dying is never in the plans,” Paperwaite noted, with evident self-satisfaction.
“You can’t count on the plans working when you’re carrying around a live-bomb like Max,” Sybil said.
For a moment, Cocky almost agreed. But then he remembered how Max had killed Dr. Von Crazy without even a whisper. Maybe he WAS capable of many more things than what these people thought.

Sam Dies at the End - 41.7 Higher.Brock stared, dumbfounded, at the dog transforming himself into a monster right before his very eyes. “Well, I guess you don’t see that every day,” he tried saying, but all he could utter was an unidentifiable mumble. The monster that was formerly a menacing dog in a suit had now completely outgrown his clothes. He was a good 10 foot now and still growing, although the growth seemed to be slowing down. “It HAS to work,” Max mumbled. “It just has to. If it doesn’t, I don’t know what I’ll do.”
Cocky turned around to see his friends and wondered how he was going to formulate the question. He didn’t have to. Brock rubbed his nose and said “We’ll give you a ride on the ship there. If you want.” He turned to look at Des, nervously. “And if the captain’s okay with that.”
Desiree shook her head. “I guess we’re partially responsible for this, seeing as how we left this idiot running around your planet unchecked.

Max climbed a smoking pile of rubble that was blocking the way. He felt so tired he was actually becoming sluggish. But he couldn’t afford that. He had no idea what he was doing, but he felt a desperate need to do something. At the top of the pile he saw Sam’s back. The muscles were rippling with strange movement, and a purple glow was coming out of the parts of his body that were translucent. Max lost his footing and tumbled down the pile, narrowly avoiding being impaled by a rusty rod. He rolled down and stopped his fall with his sprained hand. He cried out and cursed Cocky once again. But there would be time for that later. Or maybe not.

Sam Dies at the End - 52.3 Magic trickTwo down, two left to go, Cocky thought. There was hardly time to think anything else. And although he could hear Max’s cheery, sarcastic laughter along with the zaps of whatever Blue Robe was throwing at him, sooner or later he’d be hit too. “Idiot,” Cocky thought, but in truth, it was probably not his fault. Tick Tick Tick Tick
A constant tick echoed loudly, but sounded far away. The sound of white noise buzzed loudly in your ears, slowly becoming unbearable. The two sounds mixed together incompletely as you looked up at the glowing moon. The crescent moon curled high above, the stars twinkled brightly. After the noises continued rhythmically you reached over and turned the dial, silencing the old radio at your side on the rusty platform you sat on. You sighed, gazing longingly at the unending night sky, now the metallic ticks echoed lowly through your ears. An ominous wind now quietly swam through your head as if it were empty, each breeze tugging at your hair and anything it could grab hold of.
Something in the sky twinkled brightly. It shone. A warm gold glow emitting from it, the sight making you gasp. After gazing at the gold orb in awe you leapt from you spot, landing on a rough, rock-like surface with a soft thud.
You ran towards the orb, stopping when

Then turns them into meat?
He has a shop down below,
The product of his deeds,
Here he serves out all his pies,
The whole town he feeds!
Unbeknownst and unawares,
Of what they do ingest,
For a shave, they go upstairs,
And he puts them to rest.
A fresh surprise the barber has,
For the next in line,
A wife, no, a widow now,
On her husband she soon will dine.
Its so good! they all shout,
Youre secret you must give!
But divulgatory he is not,
For the barber wants to live.
His mouth is shut, his lips are sealed,
As so he wont be caught,
That sly and cunning butcher man,
That demon barber Sweeney Todd!

He had needed almost half an hour to recover from the experience, and whether he wanted to admit it or not, he had been left pretty shaken. The worst thing about it was what it meant.
