My red Dawn costume, made in around 2003. It's a shame i don't have more pictures of it. It was destroyed in storage. Thinking of the insane idea of recreating the whole thing. It was one of my favorite creations.
Once again, I found an awesome cosplay picture online and this time, the photographer was so awesome as to actually LIGHT his subject in a way that made her seem as if she were floating above a cityscape at night, so I photo-shopped the starry night sky in the background in order to do away with those gawking people that were in the background . . . FANBOYS, what are ya gonna do? I had to extend the cape which resulted in more paintwork on the cape than I wanted to do, but I did it. BTW, I do not know who this girl is or who deserves credit for the photo itself.
These were all quite fun to do. References were consulted for all but the two green sketches in the bottom right-hand corner of the page. Below, you can find links to all of the images I used as references.
I wouldn't normally have loaded any of these dragoncon pictures on the net, because i was not trying for artistic shots. However, i -randomly- found this lovely girl on dA today, and i thought i'd upload to share it to her Just in the off chance she might giggle and think it interesting. Either way, this was Dragon*Con 2010. Awesome awesome weekend. My first major con, and it was surreal.
