My first photo from my Singapore trip!! Was super excited to go over and shoot a lot of things, I thought since and I shot Macross together in Sydney when I first met her so was pretty eager to keep a tradition (?) going hahaha~
Shoot was pretty exciting! Staci, our friend helped us organise to shoot on a Yacht, though sadly since I mixed up my dates she couldn't shoot with us! Though I got to shoot and meet Brian Lim, who was great to work with and very fun to be with! Thank you to everyone who came along to help shoot with us! Akasha, William Tjhin , Yasuu , Akairi & Zelmer! Was really great to spend the day with you! Sorry if you got a little bored!
A huge thanks to and to for parts of the Alto costume! Sorry for the last minute request! Thank you very much to for taking the time to process them all! I am very grateful!
This series of photos by Charlie Taylor was taken in and around Midtown Atlanta, GA.
The wig is a human hair wig dyed and styled by Diana Shepherd.
The costume was constructed primarily by myself. The shirt a rather old and baggy sweater I found at Goodwill. The pants made from scratch with a textured golded spandex, trimmed in black pleather stripping. Belt purchased from Target. Shoes borrowed from my roomie.
The suspenders were the most challenging part, taking several days to construct. I used JiaJem's tutorial for the basis, but opted to go with a different Smooth-On product rather than Dragon Skin. Using her pattern as reference, I drafted my own based on my measurements, and used all the same materials Jia suggested to construct the "mold."
I'm really proud of this, because I made the suspenders (for the most part) on my own, with a lot of supervision from a friend. This is one of my favorite costumes to wear, ever, and people always comment about how uncomfortable it looks. It's not. It's awesome. And always great to wear in a Georgia summer!
