First TumbleRaph opened his eyes, trying to identify what had woken him up. “Wha’ the…” he groggily mumbled. Then he heard it again, a small whimper coming from Mikey’s room. Groaning, he turned over, hoping that the sound would stop. Against his wishes, though, the sound continued. “Can’t get a decent night sleep with that kid here,” Raph growled as he swung out of his hammock and stumbled toward his door to see what was wrong.
As he sluggishly moved across the room, the noise level changed. Instead of a quiet whimper, there was sudden shrill cry. Goaded into action by the notes of pain he heard, Raph ran towards Mikey’s door. He beat Leo there by only a few seconds, and hurried inside. As soon as he walked in, he saw what had happened.
Mikey had fallen out of bed. His face scrunched up in pain as blood flowed from his lip, he howled his heart out. Raph was at his side in a flash, picking him up to comfort him. “Shh… you’re

He hushed him. “It is alright, Michelangelo.”
The smallest of the turtles had become ill only a couple of weeks after they had been 'adopted' and they had begun their lives in the sewer.
Splinter sat up and cradled the little one in his arms. Michelangelo continued to violently cough, shiver, and fuss.
He felt Mikey's forehead; it was still warm. He sighed. “You are still warm. What am I gonna do with you?” he cooed.
Splinter rose from his cot and carried his son into their makeshift kitchen and retrieved a bottle from a tote made into a sort of cabinet. Then he heated up the teapot on the stove.
He returned his attention to his son and adjusted the blanket that he was wrapped in. “I'm sorry, little one. I wish I could make you better.

Everyone stopped, it was sore subject one they hoped April would never bring up. Leo turned away from the TV and looked at April. Raph put down his comic book and Donnie closed his laptop, Mikey remained unmoved.

Leo watched in horror as Raph was electrocuted by the huge lit sign he had just been thrown into. A few short seconds later, Mikey rolled off the edge of the roof. Donny was pummeled mercilessly before bashing into a metal pole. Leo’s heart clenched in fear for his brothers as the Shredder turned his attention to the remaining turtle.
Suddenly, something touched his shoulder, and he jumped, awakening himself in the process. The dream faded to reality as he saw Mikey cringing next to his bed. Clearing his throat, Leo whispered, “Do you need something?”
Mikey nodded, and asked, “Can I sleep with you?” Startled by the request, Leo observed his brother a bit more closely. The youngest tur

His presumed oldest, Leonardo, was easy on most accounts. He never fussed too much about bedtime, didn't often pick at his dinner, and much like Michelangelo and Donatello, he loved bath time. Getting Leo to give up the television always proved to be a task, however. The second an animated character popped up on the screen, especially if it was his favorite program, Space Heroes, he was inseparable from that overrated box of colorful images.
“Leonardo, it is time to turn off the cartoons,” Splinter said to his son who was mesmerized by the beckoning action cartoon. “I must watch the news.”
“No-o-o!” Leonardo whined. “News stupid!”
“Little one, I have asked you not to use that word,” Splinter scolded, “it is not a kind word.”
“Don't wanna watch da news. Watch cartoon!”

“Michelangelo, quit being lazy! It’s time for training!” Heaving another sigh, Mikey finally crawled out of bed and grabbed his gear, trying to avoid Leo’s glare. He could already tell that it was going to be a long day.
During training, Mikey was having trouble concentrating. It was like his brain was stuck in sleep mode. Reprimands from both Splinter and Leo did nothing to help him. Even taunts from Raph and digs from Donnie didn’t motivate him. He couldn’t even find it in him to retaliate with his own quips.
After training, Splinter had him stay in the dojo for a lecture on focus. Pouting slightly, Mikey thought

“Nhh!” Michelangelo called out, “up!” he continued to rock but the small turtle was having no luck.
“Mikey’s stuck!” Raphael laughed.
“‘elp,” he cried out, this only made Raph laugh harder.
Splinter was about to intervene, when his two other sons entered the room. “Raphie stop laughing at Mikey!” Leonardo called out crossi
Sleep Tight (T-Tots)Bed time was always a difficult time in the sewers. Trying to get four four-year-old turtles to fall asleep at a decent hour was just as hard as trying to teach them ninjutsu, if not harder. As the clock chimed seven, Splinter left his room to prepare the evening tea. He had found the turtles sleep better when they have a warm cup of tea before bed. He set the kettle on the stove top as he went to retrieve the boys. He quietly moved into the room and sat beside his snoozing son. It was then that he noticed the shell-shaped cell phone secured under the boy's giant hand against his slowly moving chest. His cell phone was the only privilege that he hadn't taken away. He must have fallen asleep texting, he assumed.
Splinter carefully moved the sheltering hand and removed the cell phone. He wasn't surprised that the movement hadn't woken Raphael, having always known him to be a heavy sleeper. Master Splinter sat in his make-shift living room watching over his four toddlers as he meditated. It would be a wonder to anyone how the rat could concentrate with the ruckus the little ones made. He finished his meditation and opened his eyes to see two of them, Raphael and Michelangelo, wrestling around on the floor. He observed the two carefully to be sure they were not fighting, but after hearing only a few seconds of their laughter, he was certain no harm was being done.
Just outside the action, Donatello was sitting cross-legged while he sucked on his thumb and held his purple blanket to his cheek, laughing and smiling through his tired eyes that burdened him to sleepiness.
Splinter glanced at Leonardo who sat quietly watching a cartoon on the television, eyes wide and mouth agape. The colorful images and goofy sounds made him oblivious to the commotion his two younger brothers were making.

The night was dark, they were fighting the Foot. It was typical night, that was until something unexpected happened.
As the four turtles were fighting, they didn't notice a foot ninja pull out a dart gun. Leo had his back to Foot, but Mikey quickly noticed the dart flying through the air. He leapt in front of his oldest brother, he fell to the ground.
Leo turned around to see his baby brother on the ground, a dart sticking out of his arm, "guys! we need to go! Now!" Leo lifted Mikey up into his arms, he strangely felt lighter.
Raph turned his head, "what are you talking about Leo?" he saw his youngest brother out cold, "Mikey!" Raph run towards Leo, "what the shell happened Leo?!"
"H-he got hit my dart. . . saving me. . . ." Leo gasped.
Raph glared at Leo, "what the shell! how could you not note--"
"Raph! Not now! We need to get Mikey back to the lair so I can check what was sent in his system!" Donnie interrupted.

April capped the Sharpie and set it back on the counter.
“Yup. Friends do this all the time when one of them gets hurt,” she explained. “It's a nice gesture to let them know that you care.”
Mikey was delighted. This girl from outside of his family cared so much for him. No familial obligations bound her to him and yet she somehow showed her care for him without modesty.
“Well I feel better already!”
“Mmm, something smells delicious,” Leo drew both of their attention upon entering the kitchen. “What did you guys make?”

Raph sighed. It was only his third day of being grounded to his bedroom, but it felt like it had been months. Hour after hour he had been forced to remain in that musty, desolate bedroom with nothing to do but read, count the cracks in the cinder block walls, and wait for what seemed like forever for meals. If there was a hell, Raph was sure he had died and gone there.

If there was ever time that Raph saw his best buddy as saintly, it was now. After the stupid way he had acted that night, Casey so easily forgave him, whereas he could tell everyone else was still heated. He knew that was because, though he did not agree with the behavior, he understoo

In 1996, a 26-year-old man named Hamato Yoshi and his beloved wife had a beautiful baby girl. They named her Miwa. They were the happiest little family you'd ever see, but someone, a bitter soul, sought to take what was rightfully Yoshi's. Envy and bitterness consumed this soul and before Miwa turned one year, her parents perished and she disappeared at the hands of a monster.
A man came to reconstruct his life in a place called New York City. He lived a lonely life in a tiny apartment and taught martial arts just to barely get by. To ease his loneliness, he adopted four baby boys, all brothers, the youngest no older than 5 months old. Their names were Leonardo Osamu, Raphael Mamoru, Donatello Toshio, and Michelangelo Hiroyuki. He protected these boys like priceless jewels and taught them to effectively defend themselves. He even found a new, better job so he could work from home and home-school them. For fifteen years, he taught them, fed them, protected them, and care

He looked at the sky; the sun was setting. Thank God for short winter daylight. The night, the shadows, would buy him time to figure out what to do. Surely he couldn't go about his everyday life in the form of a man/rat hybrid.
