Free! Iwatobi Swim Club cosplay shoot outtakes! When my friends and I first heard of "that swimming anime" called Free!, this is pretty much what we expected:Free! Iwatobi Swim Club cosplay shoot outtakes!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Not that there's anything wrong with that hahah, but all we were expecting was to be able to laugh at how exploitable and full of fanservice this show could be because swimming would require everyone to be half-naked. Although it started out that way, the more episodes we watched, the more we realized...
We were wrong. So wrong.
What we got was a heartwarming coming-of-age story with endearing characters and interesting dynamics. It spoke of friendship and learning your self-worth and figuring out what drives you forward.
I'd write more about how I feel about it but it would take up too much time and space over here, so here are a couple of posts that have already done the job well:

Mesti Datang! The HobbyCon 2013 Experience!Earlier this year, my friends and I were invited to be overseas guests for HobbyCon in Sabah, Malaysia.Mesti Datang! The HobbyCon 2013 Experience!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Time flew by very fast, and before we knew it...
Our first day was spent doing a lot of eating, thanks to our guide Alyssa I will justify it as us fueling up for an action-packed weekend! We tried nasi lemak for the first time (LOVED IT), had some shaved ice desserts after, then a big dinner of clay pot rice, stir-fry noodles with clams, really tasty chicken wings, etc. and THEN we still raided Pick N' Pay for our midnight snacks because we love convenience stores and we wanted to try things we don't have in Manila.
We planned our cosplays ahead with Team Kachang Puteh, the guests from Singapore. Our theme for the first day of HobbyCon was Shingeki no Kyojin!

Have I mentioned that my childhood dream was to be either a ronin, a ninja or a marine biologist? 2 OUT OF 3, NOT BAD YEAH. I'm such a dolt. We haven't even properly done Shippu! Yoko Littner Cosplay FAQFor those of you who are aspiring to cosplay Yoko or are just curious as to which materials and techniques I used to make my Yoko cosplay, I will post them here, anonymously, of course. However, if you want to be identified for whatever reason, please tell me, otherwise I will reword your question and not quote or otherwise credit you.Yoko Littner Cosplay FAQ4 years ago in Personal More Like This
If there is a question not answered here, feel free to leave a comment (here or on a picture) or PM me! I am happy to answer! I will not make up questions for you- all of these here are things I have been asked by another person. Reason being, if you don't ask, I'll assume you already know how I made something or don't care, and there are a million questions I could make up on my own. ;3
Let us begin the Yoko FAQ!
How heavy is your rifle?
It's actually quite light, considering the size (it is four feet and nine inches). I'd estimate it to weigh about 5 pounds, since my 8 lbs exercise weight feels much heavier!

COSPLAY MAKEUP TUTORIAL!Hi guys!! Thank you as always to all watchers and everyone who faves and comments - I'm so sorry I don't have much time these days to reply to everything, but I definitely do read and appreciate them all!COSPLAY MAKEUP TUTORIAL!3 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've been asked so many times I've lost count to put together a makeup tutorial on how I do my cos makeup - and I finally did it!
I hope this is a little helpful, although some disclaimers - I have Caucasian features, so my makeup will be very different to someone with a different face shape. I use a lot of eyemakeup, much more than a lot of people, just because I do lol. My eyes a pretty big naturally, so I line them right up the edge, as opposed to widening the eye by drawing further out. A few things like that to bear in mind ^_^ That said, hope you enjoy! *chu*
Any questions please feel free to ask!

I'll try to fix up the ugly pictures and maybe add some color when I have time, and reupload another version later :b (don't know when though.) For now feel free to watch this one and laugh at it huhuhu

Not to mention I wanted to get that negative journal off my profile page.
How is everyone? 8D I'm doing alright. Work is work. Dollwise, I've been getting ready for ManikaManila Tiangge, my local doll community's annual BJD bazaar. There's much to be done so I hope it all goes smoothly!
Anyway, I know I promised a Dollism report. I don't think I've ever done one here. It's usually on my LJ and Facebook accounts.
So here I go!
We lived along Tung Choi street in the heart of Mong Kok. My friends and I usually go for an apartment rather than a hotel, to cut costs and to experience life as a local.
Not to mention it is tons of fun living with your friends for almost a week! We arrived on Thursday, July 11th. We mostly roamed around Mong Kok that day.

Just a warning this is REALLY REALLY LONG and VERY IMAGE HEAVY - I am not even exaggerating. I skipped over a lot already but it's still humongous. Took me 4 days just to write it.
Anyway, in loose chronological order here goes:
Our flight was 9 hours from US to Germany, then another 4-5 hours from Germany to Israel. We went with a group of around 70, about half of which are my friends/acquaintances.
I couldn't sleep on the flight but luckily the movie selection was pretty good. I watched at least 5 movies including the Rurouni Kenshin live action, twice, and eventually a 3rd time on the flight back. Sato Takeru is a really good Kenshin =w=
As usual the cabin air is really dry and the little jar of moisturizer I tossed into my backpack as an afterthought turned out to be a life

Issue No. 5|Archives
Charles Dickens wrote “A Christmas Carol” in 1843, the story that has ever since come to embody, as has the entire legendary life of its author.
The true spirit and eternal hope for a more prosperous and more just coming new year that the best sentiments of the winter holiday season have always been all about. Dickens was the champion of the poor and downtrodden, never forgetting the humiliation of his father being thrown into debtor’s prison, which precipitated the young boy’s forced abandonment of school in order to work in a factory. The illiterate poor returned Dickens’s love and affection, paying their hard-earned half-pennies just to have the monthly installments of his latest novel read to them from the newspaper.

Bear with me for adding another thought regarding the cosplay scene, i cant help it if certain issues or stories end up quite thought provoking.
Stories of cosplayers being harassed by some spectators are the common buzz in the community recently, and it had me thinking, what provoked these people to commit such actions that are considered unappropriate by the cosplayers themselves?
There are already tips and suggestions focused towards the audience on how to treat cosplayers. Now in this blog, id like

The Walls of Unsaid by zancan
This image can be interpreted in many ways. For example the 2 sources of life never being able to cross the chasm to reach each other. Or maybe how cities are often designed in a way that is disconnecting us from each other and nature. Personally I'm a big fan of designing spaces in cities for people to "grow
