ALL DESCRIPTIONS WERE TAKEN FROM NICK'S SITE
I know this dude is the first Avatar ever, named Wan, this is just the description that the Nick site put to the image
Perhaps this nomadic rogue might tag along with our favorite team soon, but whether he's good or bad is too early to say...
This mystical creature has a lot of limbs to go around, but it looks like he'll have a much deeper role to play...
The Avatar world is filled with awesome animal hybrids, just like this one. Could he be a new sidekick?
This looks like the perfect spot to meditate on the best bending techniques!
In the Avatar world, beautiful scenery can be found at every turn.
This is the perfect spot for the Avatar to overlook the city, and make sure both Benders and non-Benders are living
SDCC 2012 Legend Of Korra Fan Panel SummaryIn a room of 4, 500 hardcore fans, the Legend of Korra San Diego Comic Con panel opens with an epic montage of Book 1 moments backed by a stunning score by the Track Team.SDCC 2012 Legend Of Korra Fan Panel Summary3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The panel introduction is by moderator, Rich Magallanes, who states he is blown away by the entire Avatar universe and its development.
The creators come out - followed by Joaquim dos Santos and the brilliant voice director Andrea Romano. The cast enters: Janet Varney, David Faustino, Seychelle Gabriel and P.J. Byrne. Seychelle rocks a cute steampunk cosplay.
According to Hypable there are still 4, 000 people waiting outside Ballroom 20. In 2004 Korra/A:TLA was in a room with 50 people.
If you didn't already know, there will be 4 books (seasons) with 52 episodes divided as so:
Book 1: Air - 12 episodes
Book 2: Spirits - 14 episodes
Book 3 - 13 episodes
Book 4 - 13 episodes
Bolin and EskaJust to kick out the last journal... here you have a screenshot of Bolin and Eska ! I know it's a bit late for posting this, Bryan published it in his tumblr about 4 days ago... i haven't checked it lately...Bolin and Eska2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Hmm... interesting... this could approve BolinxEska theory... xD. But, i just cant ship Bolin and Eska because... you know, Bolin is all energetic-goofy-GORGEOUS and Eska seems like the "Mai" of Legend of Korra.
Who knows, maybe a nice girl is behind that "androgynous creepiness"
And another interesting this to note is the background. I does not look like the south pole to me, it's more like they where in republic city. But both of them are wearing that big winter coats; it looks like the South pole has had a lot of reconstruction in the last 70 years...
What do you think about this?
Oh, and here you have a fan made animation based on that screenshot

Today is the anniversary of his death. Alright. So this is the majority of the commentary they made while they were showing the concept art! Unfortunately, the concept art itself wasn’t recorded in the video - it just shows the panel talking. Also the first few pics with the Water Tribe festival are missing.

Legend of Korra now has its own section on Fanfiction.net.
It's now www.fanfiction.net/cartoon/Legend_of_Korra/. So to all my writers out there, uh, stop submitting to the Avatar: the Last Airbender section and move your stuff to Legend of Korra's.
Though really WHY does it need its own section? I thought having it all under ATLA made much more sense... what if you wanted a conversation between Aang and Korra? Wouldn't that equally be in both??? ...whatever.
Book 2 for later this year? + MORE!At a Nick Animation press event, some news more news was released about various nickelodeon animated shows including The Legend of Korra.Book 2 for later this year? + MORE!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Unfortunately, nothing much was released save for that the date was coming later this year, and an exclusive clip (I'm hoping somebody will upload it somewhere, if anybody finds it please link in the comments!)
While this isn't much news, keep in mind that the last time we got a year date it wasn't actually so far away from the actual date. Even so, "later this year" could even still refer to as late as next fall, or even winter. Still, it's nice to know it's coming this year!
"Exclusive clip?" Yeah, you read that right!
I've been looking for that clip for a wile now, and nothing :/. All i found was a description of said exclusive clip...
The sequence we saw found Korra battling one of these spirits, initially just seen as dark tentacles, surrounded by

Hey everyone, we can finally tell you that we will be screening a full episode at the panel this year! That’s right, the entire first episode of Book 2! We can’t wait to show you. Bryan did this awesome artwork, inspired by Korra’s battle with a dark spirit in that episode.

First up, Desna (left) and Eska (right) , Korra’s cousins:
DESNA (Waterbender), ESKA (Waterbender)
Korra’s cousins are sixteen year-old twins who have a strange connection and seem to communicate without saying a word. They’re both Waterbenders, and when they work together they can accomplish amazing feats, such as shooting entire icebergs at opponents. Korra has always found them incredibly annoying because they look down on her for being a rube from the South, even though she’s the Avatar.
Next up, shipping magnate and facial hair enthusiast Varrick, presumably not to be confused with the Dragon Age character of the same name:
Billionaire shipping magnate from the Southern Water Tribe. He’s a little eccentric, but very charismatic. He sp

A look at Mako and Bolin's pastA new Legend of Korra-related webseries has been released by Nickelodeon, giving viewers a glimpse at Mako and Bolin’s hard-luck childhood.A look at Mako and Bolin's past2 years ago in Personal More Like This
A new short webseries called Republic City Hustle debuted today on Nickeldeon.com. Republic City Hustle serves as a small prequel to The Legend of Korra, focusing on the characters of Mako and Bolin as young orphans trying to survive in Republic City.
The beautiful paper-cut animation style of Republic City Hustle is very distinct from The Legend of Korra‘s visual identity. However, the consistent character design and voice work by Korra‘s David Faustino (Mako) and PJ Byrne (Bolin) – as well as the use of music from season 1 – help Republic City Hustle remain perfectly in tone with the Avatar universe.
Republic City Hustle will be told in three parts, and will continue next week (August 16). Check out the first installment right here:

Meet Wan, the first AvatarFans of The Walking Dead and Legend of Korra rejoice: Steven Yeun, known to fans of the AMC horror show as Glenn, will be joining the voice cast of the Nickelodeon animated series as Wan, the very first Avatar in existence. Yeun’s character will appear in two episodes titled “Beginnings 1 & 2″ during the second season — aka Book 2: Spirits — debuting later this year.Meet Wan, the first Avatar2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The sequel to the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender, Legend of Korra debuted last April to 4.5 million viewers, and quickly became the highest-rated show on Nickelodeon. Both series are set in a fictional world where people called “benders” have special abilities that allow them to control one of the four elements (water, earth, air, and fire), but only one person — the Avatar — can control all four and bring balance to the world.
Wan’s story will take place ten thousand years before Korra’s time, and follow the teenage explorer and skilled bender as he tri
Korra Problems Part 2After reading through the comments on my last journal (http://tompreston.deviantart.com/journal/New-Korra-Trailer-Released-386752726) it was apparent I wasn't very clear about what I meant when the producers knew at the end of the last episode that they had been picked up and could've changed the ending. Some of you thought that I meant they knew all along that Korra was meant to have more than one season, and that's not true. Korra was planned as a one season show, and it was through it's popularity while airing that Nickelodeon greenlit the next several seasons. However, that doesn't excuse the rushed ending and I wanted to explain why, but it's gonna take a little bit since I need to explain a bit about american animation productions first.Korra Problems Part 22 years ago in Personal More Like This
Now keep in mind, a lot of this journal will be speculation since I didn't work on Korra and have no privy to the actual behind the scenes workings. However, I do know a lot about american TV animation production to make some educated guesses and
