Nightmares (short story)Zoey was ecstatic, today was her birthday, she had always loved birthdays- even when she didn’t get any presents. Sitting way up high on the roof of blackrock she dangled her feet off the walkway, enjoying the bright sunny day, looking down she could just see the top of her and Rythian’s giant symbol on the front of the castle,Nightmares (short story)2 years ago in Drama More Like This
“Zoey!” she heard Rythian call out from somewhere beneath her “where are you?”
“I’m on the roof!” she called back “i’ll be right down” putting on her flying ring she flew down to the ground and walked through the front doors of the large black castle.
“I'm in the magic room! Come here i have something for you!”
“oh Rythian you didn’t have to get me anything!” she said as she walked into the magic room
“Really I mean it’s just a bir-” Zoey cut herself off mid sentence when she saw what Rythian was holding- it was a beautiful bright red pendant

In the end… it was treachery and love that claimed Rythian’s life…
A week and a day earlier the endermen had begun to arrive; endless numbers, hordes of monsters attacking and breaking against the hastily shored up walls of their desert fortress like waves upon stone. Cabertown had been overrun by the seventh day, houses burning and crumbling as their foundations were carried away by the tall dark monsters. The villagers had been inexperienced in the art of war, and though they had tried, the damage had been too much for them. Children had gone missing from their beds, and adults were slaughtered in the streets like cattle. Ravs had finally had abandoned hope that his city would survive, and led what was left of his people across the desert to seek shelter with Rythian and Zoey; they carried what they could, but most of their belongings were left abandoned. The villagers were too terrified to retrieve what
Awoken Rythian had thought that he’d hit his lowest point when he and Zoey had been separated after he had yelled at her. The enderborn had paced the marble floors like a caged animal, slowly becoming more ghostlike with every passing day. There she was, Xephos’ girlfriend, taking and releasing water to make an obsidian pathway. With this genius plan she’d be able to snatch all the loot. Xephos wanted as much victory as the next guy, but he had to secretly admit he was proud of his girlfriend. If Sips_ and him did not win, he silently rooted for Lomadia’s team. Or just Lomadia, considering Nilesy was long gone.
“No, she’s going to make it, too!” Sips_ whined from their platform in the sky.
“Aw, son of a bitch,” the spaceman sighed, though a smile crept up on his face as he watched Lomadia scramble up the small obsidian tower to fetch the loot.

Zoey didn’t think Rythian actually realized what he was doing, after all he always seemed to be busy with something when he was humming, the music just seemed to be a byproduct of his need to have an occupied mind. The tunes he chose were never complex, just simple melodies repeated over and over like a mantra of meditation; they were always soothing in tone and were never faster than the beat of a steady walk.
This time Rythian was standing over their camp stove, absently stirring mushroom soup with one hand and leaning his chin upon the other. He’d been silent for the first ten minutes, but after that Zoey had become aware of the familiar melodies drifting from the mage as he’d lazily guided the wooden spoon through the heating mixture. Zoey herself sat on a bench not far away caring for their weapons. Rythian preferred to maintain the razor-sharp blade of Enderbane himself, but Zoey helped care for his dagger on occasion,

To right this wrong!
From the battle of the breach
To the Iron hand
The heroic duo
Can still stop the sand!
The allies will gather
From earth, air and sea,
Will unite this land
As it is meant to be.
The dwarf and spaceman charge!
For jaffas, minecraft and daisy!
Give honeydey sixty-four
Let the sand not faze me!
And at the last battleground,
When all will gather,

He asks: 'who dares to defy me?'
And all at once
A might throng
Of all their voices rings out!
And in one moment turns the tide.
Out they cry, charging forth
A yell to be heard by all.
'I am Dave, Yognaught,' they cry,
'And I have the balls!!'

The whole world is gone
Time to start fresh
Gather your tools
What was that sound?
A large splash in that pool
Hello, Crazy Red-Head
Her fungus in hand
Let's build up a home
Cultivate that land
Revenge was the goal
No repeat of the past
Adventures did happen
Around the home built at last
A Volcano named Jim
A Dino named Tee
Dogs, golems and friends
Such a cute family
But division was formed
From the Lab underground
Apologies were said
Lies blocked out the sound
The Red-Head, she fled
The Dino followed her close
The Mage was alone
With what he hates most
The Shadows closed in
The Mage fought back their thirst
The Shadows did flee
Taunting the Mages curse
A meeting with Science
Betrayed the Mage even more
A Nuke under his castle
Death and Payback he swore
Soon the Red-Head returns
With The Dino by side
Apologies once more
She would no longer hide
Defusing the Nuke
She swore she could do
The Mage trusted her words

Kim woke with a start, almost smacking her head on the bunk above. Had she just dreamt that voice? It certainly didn't sound like Duncan.
That was when it struck her that something was different. Firstly, the window to the tower was open a crack, and the winter snow was slowly drifting in through the gap, drawing a thin line of cold snowflakes across the floor. Second was the absence of any sound other than the shuffling of the leaves outside. No snores or snorts, no shuffling of bedclothes or nocturnal mutterings. She pulled the covers aside and stepped out of bed, groggily. A cursory glance to the upper bunk confirmed the absence of her partner in misadventures. She wondered if perhaps he was still downstairs in the workshop, although no sound could be heard from the many machines below.
As she made for the stairs, Kim's attention was drawn to a fluttering from Duncan's bunk. The soft wind was shuffling some sort of paper half poking f

The Queen’s shoes clicked against the cobblestone stairs as she rushed down to her cellar. Usually, she only went down to her cellar for studying up on Black Magic or when she needed to fix issues with others. This was one of those times. Xephos was still out there somewhere, and just the mere thought of him made her blood boil. Once she reached the solid floor that made up her cellar, she rushed past the eerie hallway that led to the dungeon on a lower floor, and stopped abruptly at her bookshelf. Her long slender index finger glided along the old, dusty books until it stopped on one titled Alchemy: Volume I. Her whole hand lunged for the massive book before she even finished reading the title, and she began flipping through it.
Something to kill... something to make me fair- “Ah!” The Queen exclaimed, making a bony crow in the corner flinch and squawk angrily. The

The only blessing was that whatever had cut off her arm had been hot enough to sear the flesh together so that at least she was in no danger of bleeding out.
“You should stop, you know.” Lalna said, lounging against nothing in the sky “I don’t think he’s ever getting up again and it doesn’t look like you are in much better condition yourself.

The man, formerly known as 'Sips' regained some consciousness after being knocked out by something. Before opening his eyes, he took some time to physically adapt to his surroundings. He could feel the cold of whatever hard, smooth object was below him. He inhaled the scent of freshly cut metal and smoke. He could hear the sounds of machines chattering away at work. There was a taste of blood in his mouth that didn't seem right. It was his own blood. Upon finally opening his eyes, Sips could see he wasn't alone… encased in a small force field with Lalna on the other side, glancing wide eyed and crazily back. Sips checked his pockets quickly to see if he had any of his things. Nothing. His Inventory was completely empty.

"Because there are some questions I've been dying to ask you…"

It was late at night. That was when it would usually happen. Almost every night, like clockwork. When it happened, he would cut off the portal letting him see her so that his screams wouldn't wake her up. The pain that followed was usually so intense that he would pass out and wake up later. It was usually the only sleep he got.

Thunder rolled in from behind the hills, causing the dwarves to curse as they pushed their dwarven legs against the earth. As the seven ran in single file, small drops of rain pelted lightly against their helmets with a pang. This light rain quickly formed into strong, fat drops that shot down like rockets. The animals ahead dashed through the forming mud along the trail, their fur becoming damp and soiled. The path became slippery under the fourteen metal boots that stamped their soles into the soil, causing a couple dwarves to slip. They rose quickly, not about to get lost in the herd of the others.
