The night I met Jessie she was beautiful. She swayed to the almost intolerably loud music as if her bones were made of it. She was something unknown. I remember the sharp cut of her hair had run across her cheek, parallel to her carved-out cheekbone. It looked like a wig, I wanted to touch it. I wanted to touch her, and see if she felt like plastic. Who could ever believe that someone so perfect could be so real. I regret that. I regret doubting her reality.
Eventually she bought me a drink; she called it an Appleté but trapped in the pulsating fuchsia lights of the club it looked purple. It tasted like jealousy; s
NaNo is Around the CornerOnce again, we find ourselves getting ready for the insanity that is NaNoWriMo. If you've never heard of it, NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. That means in the span of thirty days, participants will write 50,000 words.NaNo is Around the Corner2 years ago in Literature Features More Like This
1,667 words per day if they're writing every day.
2,273 words per day if they're only writing on weekdays.
6,250 words per day if they're only writing on weekends.
Either way it's a pretty hefty feat, and not something to walk into unprepared. Even if you're a "by the seat of your pants" type of writer.
Which is where planning and plotting come in. Sure, if you're a pantser, you can sit down and bang out a couple chapters, maybe a whole book, but can you do it in a month? Probably not. At least not without a little bit of preparation. For all the pantsers and everyone else, compiled here is a short list of things to keep in mind, ways to prepare, what no

The Use of Adverbs in Fiction WritingAdverbs are dying. Over the barren wasteland of Adverbia, a cold sun sets over the crest of tangled, bony branches on gunmetal-gray trees, silhouettes of mountains in the distance, and long shadows stretched over cracked, curling pads of parched clay. The Use of Adverbs in Fiction Writing7 years ago in Literature Features More Like This
Why? Why are adverbs relegated to the path of the dinosaur in fiction writing? What's so doggone wrong with adverbs, anyway??
Well, there's a few simple reasons for it -- and maybe there are a lot of reasons for it, but I've identified a few simple ones.
The goal here, of course, isn't to make you feel foolish or inadequate if you're one of those adverb-happy writers, but to demonstrate a better way for you to improve your writing. For those of you still in school below the University level, think about this: you can blow your English or creative writing teachers out of the water with this information, and won't you be the envy of the rest of your adverb-reliant classmates?

We would love to hear feedback from people if they are using this! Have you entered something listed here? Have you won something? Are you actively using this? We want to ensure we are giving the community something worthwhile here- and please don't forget to add opportunities you find to the list too- the more people adding things, the better!
As writers, we always talk about “getting that piece published sometime” or “maybe submitting to a few places”, but how many of us actually eat our words and get on with it?
It was suggested that perhaps we could help nudge you guys by sharing with you the opportunities we know of. Personally, I'm not well explored, but what I do know is that the community is! Therefore this journal is a chance to share the opportunities you find.
How this is going to work?
If you find an opportunity, add a c

If you would have told me that I would have nearly a 100,000 page views and 3,000 watchers in my short time here, let alone ever...I would have said you are crazy.
If you would have told me that I would have met an amazing, beautiful, sweet girl, that I would be falling in love with here, I would have laughed at you.
But the fact is, I have met some amazing people and made some great friendships among those page views and watchers, and I would like to thank each and every one of you who have followed my work from the beginning. I do hope that you have seen an improvement in my photography and that it is seen as something that is artistic as well as sexy.
Also..thank you to everyone who has given me advice along the way and ways to improve my work. From photography t

Free Commissions!Alright everyone, so some people lately have been asking me to draw some pictures for them. I really have nothing better to do, and might as well make it official! So my first Free Commissions is up! I think it would be weird if I instantly started demanding money from you guys, and I really don't want money for my art. I want recognition that it is in fact my work, but no money is needed. ^_^Free Commissions!2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So I'll try to do anything you ask me. I will accept request for these types of drawings, and these types only. I may make an exception based on my mood.
1) Your own Oc's
2) Some of my own characters doing what ever you want them to do
3) Mini comics
4) A match up, your characters and my characters together for a quick pic XD
5) Characters from other shows
6) Covers for stories (Such as covers for fanfiction and what not)
These are mainly the things I will accept. If you want me to draw you something and it is not on my little list just as and I will tell you if I can or cannot.
I will try my bes

DON'T GO TO ART SCHOOL- By Noah BradleyDon't go to art schoolDON'T GO TO ART SCHOOL- By Noah Bradley2 years ago in Personal More Like This
The traditional approach is failing us. It's time for a change.
I'VE HAD IT.
I will no longer encourage aspiring artists to attend art school. I just won't do it. Unless you're given a full ride scholarship (or have parents with money to burn), attending art school is a waste of your money.
I have a diploma from the best public art school in the nation. Prior to that I attended the best private art school in the nation. I'm not some flaky, disgruntled art graduate, either. I have a quite successful career, thankyouverymuch.
But I am saddened and ashamed at art schools and their blatant exploitation of students. Graduates are woefully ill-prepared for the realities of being professional artists and racked with obscene amounts of debt. By their own estimation, the cost of a four year education at RISD is $245,816. As way
CrumblingSo let's face it, the past two weeks I've been suffering a lot. Many things haveCrumbling2 years ago in Personal More Like This
happened in terms of my school life, social life and home life. And it all just happened
at once during the course of a week. What sucks even more? That week was the last
week before March Break. Yea...killer. It all just fell apart. What fell apart exactly? I
don't really know for sure. I've been trying to decide whether it was my world, or my life.
I think my final decision is going to be that my world has just completely fell apart.
it's crumbling to be more specific. Hmph, I'm watching my own world crumble beneath
my feet. Eventually I'm gunna fall and get hurt. But from there, I'm just going to pick
myself up, dust off my shoulders and move on. Then, I'll put my world back together.
Rebuild it, if you will. I guess there is a reason why I like Lego so much right? *small laugh*
So I'm going to rebuild my entire world from the ground up. Kinda like Lego and Lego creations.
But before I can do that, the

I suppose it’s the late night and the wine I’ve been drinking here..but I feel like blabbing and exposing some of myself other than my body. For those of you who don’t know much about me..keep reading lol.
For starters…yes I like girls. I always have as far back as I can remember. My very first kiss, real wet French kiss, tongue in mouth kiss..was in Jr.High with a girl. And it was amazing for me.
Now, for all of you out there who have looked through my favorites and have seen that I also have a folder titled “Sexy Male” you may be asking yourself wtf? Ok..here it is. I for years considered myself bi and dated both

It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out to patients.
The idea behind the Holiday Card Project is simple: do something nice for others. However, if you're looking for even more incentive, every deviant who submits a card will be given a free one-month Premium Membership to deviantA

I am just beginning to dabble in this and you all have been so wonderful and nice regarding the other stories I have written it has kind of fueled this new avenue of creativity.

through my whole body,

its soft and barely there
